    Better than expected

At first, I had problem with the proper fit then I put on the wingtips and it haven't got out from my ears since that time. I've tried to run twice, the long wire was a bit disturbing, but that's not an issue in everyday usage. The sound quality is quite great, in comparison with the Airpods, the BeatsX is much better. All in all, it's worth its price.

    sound quality isn't good

I just the beats x and to be honest I thought the sound quality was bad, and the bass was even worse. In order to actually get a sound out of it you have to shove them deep in your ear and it gets uncomfortable. I tried all the sizes and they still were bad. Better off buying a $30 wireless headphone.

    They're not well made

I've only had these for a month and they're already not turning on, and they also can't be reset. They constantly show red when charging but they don't turn on even after being charged for hours. I didn't expect this product to be perfect but it doesn't work at all.

    Not Sweatproof

I have Powerbeats2, I got these because I'm a geek who likes new gadgets. Look at the control module on the PB2's, it is a rubberized contained unit that can handle sweat. Now look at the PowerbeatsX. You see the design flaw? It's 2 pieces put together, water can get in there. If you are wearing them they are elevated enough to not get too sweaty. But if you put them around your neck while working out, in a class or just want to talk to someone, sweat will get in there an ruin them. Apple replaced them for me. Now these are for walking around and my PB2s are for working out.

    BROKE AFTER A MONTH

These would have been really great headphones with great sound quality and design. However, after about a month, the right ear stopped working. I paid £130 for a product that only has a lifetime of a month. Pathetic! Of course I took care of them (given the price) and stored them in the case provided but they aren't durable enough to survive that! Great shame as they are very good otherwise. I would only recommend these if you rarely use them. Maybe they can survive that. After both of my Beats products breaking (Solo2 Wireless did too), I think I may have to switch to a brand that can cope with usual day-to-day use.

    Good Value

I like the fact these are wireless and are aways ready hanging around my neck when not needed. I have issues taking phone calls with this type of ear bud but simply popping one bud out so I can hear myself makes it more bearable. I do get the extra sound transferred through the wires rubbing but it's not a big issue for me.

I was sceptical about the sound quality since they have the Beats name and didn't want the over accentuated bass Beats are known for. I decided to give them a try after the reviews started to come out from regular Beats users with reports of a lack of bass. I welcomed the more neutral sound, the mids are a bit recessed but overall they have a decent mix of highs, mids and lows. I rarely find it necessary to turn the volume up over 50-60%, even in noisier environments.

I will agree with others here on the negatives. The case is useless, I have re-purposed another small gadget bag to use. The power button is small which I can accept however it needs tactile feedback. The LED should be moved off the button so you can see it. I found myself putting it into pairing mode quite often when powering it up till I got used to how it worked. Even the power up tone heard in the ear buds lags behind the actual press of the button. They also need to power off after a certain period of time of in-activity like many other powered headphones presently do. All in all with these downfalls they are worth the price.

    Bad for phone calls

This headphone works fine for wireless listening. However, when I try to use it for phone calls, I can't hear my own voice. The sound isolation works too well and all I hear is muffled speech. There is something other companies use called sidetone, but this headphone seems to lack that capability.

    BeatsX earphones

The only time I had an issue was when I tried to connect the BeatsX to my iPhone when it was ringing — it froze my iPhone 7! If I am in a call and turn on the BeatsX there's no issue, but I haven't tried to turn it on while the phone is ringing. Overall, I like the BeatsX earphones. I like the sound quality and construction.

Best Wireless Earbuds I've ever purchased

I never owned a pair of "Beats" and I am very happy I waited until these launched. I have had a few bluetooth earbuds including the famous LG Tones. BeatsX is what I have been looking for, wireless headphones with the feel of wired earbuds. They are very lightweight, have great sound, and long battery life. I went with the gray color and I am very happy with my purchase!

One of the best earphones I have ever bought.

Just unboxed it 15 minutes ago. Wow, the clarity of the sound is amazing. Mids and highs are sweet and the bass is not over-powering. The sound stage is impressive too. And it blocks out ambient sounds well. Best of all, no more tangled wire mess! I researched for about 2 weeks before ordering it yesterday and it was duly delivered today. Now for the couple or so weeks of burning-in and I'm sure the sound is only going to get sweeter. Very happy with the product and the buying process.

    incredibly shocked

I always thought people bought Beats just to have the brand name Beats by Dr Dre as a status symbol or to be cool. But i tried my friend's new BeatsX heaphones and i was so impressed and in awe i immediately went and bought a pair for myself. I'll never go back to non-Beats brand

    Great design, tinny sound

I do pretty intense workouts and really need wireless headphones connected by a little cable. These hit all the marks: sleek gray, easy connection to iphone, great battery charging and life. Except...the sound is super tinny and has zero base. The default iphone headphones that come with the phone have a far more balanced sound than these. Adjusting the equalizer created even more distortion and severely limited the volume. I listen to them because the form factor really works for me, but eventually I'll probably get tired of the sound and get some Jaybirds.

    Poor base

I just bought these earphones and Im really disappointed with the sound. Its very tinny with very little base. Ive been sitting all night with a pair of Apples normal supplies headphones and comparing the sound and they beat the beats hands down. The 2 stars I gave only reflex the comfort and the magnetic tips which are great however the sound of these beats is painful. Im return them tomorrow.

Now I can justify spending hundreds on headphones

Before I bought my black BeatsX, I found it preposterous that people were spending hundreds of dollars on headphones. I was content with my EarPods, but seeing that the future of no wires is dawning, and that the EarPods didn't fit me too well, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase these headphones.

These stayed in my ears, the noise cancellation was superb, the sound quality was better than anything I had expected, and the pairing process was actually magical (thanks to the W1 chip). Don't like how they sound? No worries - change the EQ settings and you are good to go! These really complete the "all Apple" package; don't have to have my phone on me, anything I need to do I can do using the inline controls or my Apple Watch (for example to pick a particular song without using Siri).

I expect these to be delivering my tunes for many years to come. Good work, Apple!

    Disappointing

i mainly bought this for the gym and it doesn't worth the money. when you lean down, the sound changes, when you wipe your sweat and your ear is slightly pulled back, half the sound disappears, when you are on the treadmill and the wire is rubbing against you, the sound changes. it is a shame you have to pay 200 dollars before you are allowed to try and see if this is any good for you.
