I want to love my Airpods

Being a Apple customer for over a decade I struggle with some of the complications I continuously have with the AirPods. If you want to Soli listen to music they are phenomenal, taking calls is what questionable. I want to believe when I first purchased the AirPods Inhad no issues with dropped calls or sounding like “I am under water”. I am on my phone constantly with my job and I am to the point where I will disconnect the AirPods to take the call to avoid issues. I have read hundreds of threads and done the research but no suggestion has worked. I have turned off all Bluetooth devices around me, I.e. “the Tile”, laptop, Apple Watch (yes it’s extremely frustrating I cannot use my Apple Watch either), etc. I have also met with the pros at the Genius Bar which has replaced them once but the same issues keep happening. Any suggestions would be helpful especially from someone that has experienced my dealings. Again, I want to love my AirPods but if I can only use for music capabilities they are worthless to me.

Thanks in advance for some sort of help

    Waaaay Better Than I Thought!

I have to say that I’m very impressed with the headphones, which is a very big compliment since I hated the original ones that come in the box. I’ve had several brands of headphones, everything from Bose to Beats, and these are just as nice as my wireless Beats or better! Apple really did good with these, my mom even has a pair now! These headphones are a definite must-buy.

    AirPods don't age very well.

Don't get me wrong, these headphones work great for the first couple of months. The sound is amazing, and I love the fact that it's TRULY wireless. However, after about 6 months I would have days where I would have to completely reset my AirPods just to be able to pair it with my phone. 6 months later, the sound on the earbuds are not nearly as loud as they used to be. AirPods have potential, but in my opinion they are just not ready yet. Giving Apple the benefit of the doubt, MAYBE my pair just happened to be defective. But the thing is, many other people are experiencing the same issues. I will also note that some people are even experiencing that one of their AirPods just completely malfunction to the point where they've had to replace them. Take that for what it's worth. Buy at your own risk.

    Great Item Works Well

This item works as expected and it fits well it also holds in your ear when you are running but the one issue I have is when I drop them outdoors in the case it shoots open and the box is wrecked I was wondering if you can gift buyers a free case and comething that will stop them from falling out and wrecking the box and headphones but in that case they are great I love my buy and I would recommend these to other buyers this is a great item I love it best seller going l would buy these.❤️❤️❤️

    Meh...

On a whim (literally as I was walking down the street) - I ducked into a Sprint store (I'm not even a Sprint customer) to grab a pair of these. I have the Beats Solo (3) and of course the earbuds that come with apple devices. I was tired of the bulkiness of my Beats and tired of nearly strangling myself with the corded earbuds.

    The sounds isn't bad.
    The fit isn't the best.
    Battery life is just ok

The value wasn't worth it. $169 could have gotten something a lot better.

Switching between Apple devices experience is often broken

I constantly am disconnecting my AirPods from the iCloud account I've synced them to because they can't connect via bluetooth to my macbook, iPad and iPhone. They do a terrible job of shifting between devices. So if you're interested in headphones that you use with your phone AND your Mac computer/ANY OTHER DEVICE, it's not worth it.

Half the time I'm just using my wired headphones because these things take constant troubleshooting just to connect to the devices they've already found........ already synced to..................

    Do not recommend.

    Great product, easy to lose

Pros: Good sound, convenient charging case, automatic pairing with iPhone. Cons: Very small, case slides on surfaces easily, so they’re easy to lose. Must keept track of them at all times, since they’re too expensive to just replace. Not very much talk time on phone or FaceTime before they need to be recharged. Would recommend, though.

    terrible product would not recommend

To start with when i bought these earphones they worked like a charm, connected straight away when i put them in my ears. But now i'm having a hard time trying to get the earphones to connect to my phone. I have to put the headphones back in the case and then pull them back out to try to get them to connect. after waiting 5 minutes for them to connect to my phone the finally connect. Once that happens, they end up disconnecting and most of the time not reconnecting. When the do reconnect, they end up disconnecting and reconnecting up to 5 times before they decide that they want to connect. was seriously tempted to take them back and get a refund to invest in better quality headphones. and here i thought that apple products provided one of the highest quality line of products. but no, apparently not.

    BIHHHH

BIHHHH LET ME TELL YALL ABOUT THESE AIRPODS. I was just in a car accident this morning. Head on collision. Car totaled. All the works. I was wearing my AirPods when it happened and somehow I lost the right one during the collision. The left one stayed on and honestly that’s the kind of commitment I need! The left one was THAT bihh. The left one said, “I’m never letting go Jack!” And she didn’t. I seriously thought I had lost the right pod but I found her about 30 feet from the site, in the middle of the street and she still works! I seriously thought that was it for the right one but being all dusty and scratched up, she still works. She a real one. Point of the story though, these AirPods survived a car accident. Get them. Best $160 i didn’t spend (my fiancé bought them for me. Thanks babe!).

    WARNING! DO NOT BUY!

A week after I bought it,
First, double tap is intermittent (except for Siri) then it just CAN'T connect after a few day.
Apple found that my airpods are defective and replaced it.
After 2 days of using the 2nd unit, the double tap is NOT working again and had me back and forth the apple store.
If I know I'm buying GARBAGE, I should just bought a cheaper GARBAGE!
ITS AN OVERPRICE PIECE OF GARBAGE! DO NOT BUY AND SPARE YOURSELF FROM STRESS!

Great sound but the battery life def does not last 24 hrs under normal use.

    Pros:
These air pods were great and of course they are wireless and have great sound. Yes they are linked in iCloud sound you can track them.

    Cons:
I would have to say the biggest con and disappointment was the battery life for the device. When then battery is dying, it will give you a warning in your ear. The Battery life can show in the widget icon of the iphone which is great. I think I’m gonna be returning these for a pair of beats headphone that I’ve heard has better battery life for what i use them for. I listen to five cds and talked on the phone for a hour and their dead to where I have to charge them.

    Product Reviee

    Apple wireless headphones
I purchased the apple wireless head phones because I started working out and I needed something a little more manageable than the regular headphones. When working out the wired headphones got in my way, so I knew I needed headphones without the core. The headphones caused me $159. Compared to Beats wireless headphones that’s a pretty good deal because the beats wireless headphones cause $199. I also have a hard time keeping silicone earpods in my ear so I knew from the jump that beats weren’t going to work for me.

    Comfort
The headphones fit is pretty comfortable, they feel just like the corded headphones, but depending on your ear shape and activity level, they likely won’t feel as secure in your ear. The AirPods will fit most people, but not everyone. Unlike with most earbuds, you have no way to adjust the tips to find a better fit. If you know that the corded earbuds that came with your iphone don’t fit you, the AirPods wont either, they’re the same size. The AirPods sit fine in my ears, actually better than the EarPods. They even stayed in while I run.

    Pros
A big advantage the AirPods have over Apple’s standard wired buds is in their ability to detect when they’re in an ear, and when they’re taken out. This makes it possible to automatically pause music by removing a single bud, which can be handy when you need to quickly listen to what’s happening in your environment, whether it’s an unexpected announcement from your train conductor or a tourist asking for directions.

    • DURABLE: They survived a full cycle in the washer machine without a problem! No issues with sweat either.
    • Battery lasts for five hours and it takes only 20 minutes to fully charge.
    • Great sound Quality.
    • Do not fall out during any physical activity
    • Chargeable case
    • Universal usage, you can use the headphones to listen to music, turn on and off the microphone
    • Pair with non-Apple device

    Cons
A common knock against Apple’s wireless EarPods is that they don’t last very long. After a few months of heavy use, one of the buds will sometimes stop working. I personally haven’t had that problem yet but I hope not to experience it because for $159 that should not be happening.

    • Easy to lose/steal
    • Dirt gets inside case quickly
    • Volume adjustment via phone only
    Final Thoughts
Hands down the best money I've ever spent! I was skeptical about them falling out when I first purchased them because of how small they are, but I have had zero issues with that even when doing intense activities like sprinting. They seamlessly pair with my phone just by opening the case! I can control the volume and change the song playing in the headphones with my Apple watch so it's amazing during workouts! Another cool feature is that they automatically pause the music when you pull one out and resume when you put them back in your ear. GENIUS! The case packs an extra charge so I can go quite a while without having to re-charge. The case is sleek and small enough to hook onto my keys without making them bulky. I would recommend again and again and again!

Arguably the worst apple product I ever tried

I tried making phone calls with the AirPods and people could not hear me at all. It is very noticable even to a person who is not an audiophile that the sound is annoyingly low and unreliable. The sound from one ear is different from that of another ear even when using them simultaneously; Ironically that changes from day to day. If you take one side off to charge it, the sound quality becomes worse.
Even when I returned it to the store to exchange it for another pair, the new pair did not work either. With the new pair, I could see the manufacturing adhesive (glue) on the outside of the AirPods, and there was a weird blue color on the inside case. This was not just one set of AirPods offering a horrible experience but different sets of AirPods, therefore it is reasonable to conclude the entire AirPods product line has a problem and needs to be fixed.

    Best Wireless headphones

I just want to say that i bought mine in Nov, 2017. I always used straps to keep the together while im using them and one day in Jan of 2018 i had to snow blow by driveway. Some how i lost the right one and it apparently went through the snow blower, landing somewhere in my front lawn. I spent hours looking for it with no success. I gave up on the search since we got a good 6-8 inches that week. The during the summer i was prepping my grass and low and behold i find the lost airpod on the ground. I was so excited since they were very expensive and a replacement was $80 lol. I went to charge the found one and it actually held a charge. I cleaned it off from all the dirt it had and i was surprised that they still had full function. I am just amazed that they still work and i use them almost everyday.

    Underwhelmed and unsatisfied

I was disappointed that I couldn't control the volume on these without my phone in hand. Being wireless and cordless almost defeats the purpose if you have to have your phone in hand or Siri can't quite hear well when you're asking her to adjust the volume.
They also seem to slip out easily, even though they fit well. I haven't dropped them out in public but I have at work and it's scary to think about losing these. I would think Apple would do a better job with the FindMyi[insert Apple device] technology but it's obvious they bank on people losing these.

Only pluses would be the design and the loudness of the volume which is better compared to the let-down PowerBeats3 Wireless headphones I tried.

    Pretty Amazing with some issues

Where to start... I've had these for 13 months now, excellent sound quality, excellent connectivity, NEVER fall out of my ears (not sure what other users are on about?). I do have some issues with battery life not being terribly great only a year down the track. Are we supposed to repurchase these often? seems wasteful. Also the find my airpod does very rarely work. i think i've only successfully located them with the app 3 times.. Definitely needs some improving with the app. Other than that my husband as a mechanic under cars and over bonnets never had issues with them falling out either. Great potential, but need some improvements.
