    overpriced and poorly designed

    • Written by Christopher C from Chicago

The headphones come out of the ears so easily that it affects sound quality and causes too much frustration. Whether I'm commuting to work or trying to work out, the headphones slowly fall out of the ear 100% of the time. As they become less snug the sound quality disappears and you find you are constantly pushing them back into the ear. Your ears get sore from trying to constantly shove these monsters back in. They just do not fit my ears, or my friends (whom have mostly abandoned apple for android long ago and tease me that I still throw money at them).

Switching to a lightening jack is incredibly annoying when you've spent a great deal of money on 3.5mm headphones and accessories just to have them now useless. I still do not hear any difference in sound quality from 3.5mm to lightening. Clearly this was just an attempt to get more money from their customer base.

Charging and listening to headphones (while on a call or music) is annoying with the bulky adapters required. I don't want to carry around more stuff on my commute. A product shouldn't be this annoying while costing more than the average accessories on the market.

I'm not sure, but I believe they are draining my phones battery quicker than 3.5mm jack headphones did. Maybe my imagination, so I'll give apple the benefit of the doubt.

This is the last Iphone I plan to own... when it goes I'm breaking free from Apple. They were once known for having a simple to use device with few issues... that is when complicated Blackberrys, and such, were popular and cell phone technology was evolving. Now cell phones are much easier to figure out making apple products seem more "dumb and featureless" than ever. My current Iphone (released less than a year ago) already has freezing issues, apps closing, memory issues, and annoying software bugs that get fixed with updates but then create more bugs.

Goodbye Apple... this is what happens when you sit in a room and try to figure out how to make more money instead of trying to design better products. I would love to see the gaping holes of the ears of Apple employees that designed these. Come on! Who's ears are these made for??

Wish they were squishy instead of hard plastic

    • Written by Cristina S from Spokane

These are incredible as far as sound. Unmatched!!!!!!! And I had the best LG wireless headphones out. That said. For me, either my ear holes are just too small, or idk why but, they fall out constantly! My hair pulls them out. Taking off sweaters, pulls them out or they get caught in the sweater. They’ve fallen into the washing machine and into the garbage. And once I had to move my whole entire couch to find one that fell out. I’ve decided to never wear them out of the house. Also it is extremely annoying that when I attempt to adjust one, it hangs up on people. My husband has the Samsung Obed which are even better ... they have the squishy little insert thing. The sound is just as good :(

    Don't buy them

    • Written by Ariel W from Honolulu

I've been using these for about a year now, and while yes they still sound great, the connectivity issues are just inexcusable. I don't know how there are so many good reviews on these because I literally got them replaced after a while and I still have the same problems. Often, my earbuds just randomly feel like disconnecting and have to be put back into their case and then back into my ears. Often, one will disconnect but not the other, and I also often have problems switching between apple devices.

Furthermore, they have a pretty short battery life, and little magnetic dirt/dust particles build up really easily on the magnets and are honestly kind of hard to get off! And, least importantly but still noteworthy, this just isn't a beautiful product as most apple products are. Seriously, Apple dropped the ball with this one.

Don't waste your money on these.

    Awesome!....but DO NOT LAST LONG

    • Written by Matt S from Strongsville

Love the Airpods even recommended them to many people! Described them as "Life Changing" Now after having them for only a year and half, cannot use them on a plane and normal phone calls are hard to hear. 6 months out of warranty and can replace them for $69.00 each ear!! The Apple store was nice enough to let me know there are new ones coming out and I can wait and buy those. Seems reasonable!

    Spontaneously stops working

    • Written by NewNew C from San Antonio

It just decided to stop working one day. Its connected to my computer and everything but doesn't play any sound. Tried unconnecting and reconnecting but still no sound. It has become an absolutely frustrating chore to try and get them to work again and there is no reason why something as fundamentally simple as getting them to play sound should become a time consuming chore.

I would not buy this product. After a few hours, it won’t work. And if you were counting on using it, you will be disappointed.

I've gone through two pairs of airpods and after a few months, the sound gets lower and lower. It is a similar situation with apple earbuds.

I’ve gone through 2 pairs of these airpods and have had the same issue happen. Randomly one day after not dropping nor tampering with the airpods. The sound will become extremely quite and have no bass while turning it up only increases the volume of the audio around me hence having everyone around me head what I’m listening too, but I will say when I got them new they were very nice just disappointed in how long they lasted.

    Worst purchase ever

    • Written by Andreea B from Mankato

The frustration these earbuds cause me is just indescribable. They keep disconnecting every couple minutes, and only the right one works.
When I workout, I literally spend more time trying to fix/connect them, than actually working out. I am very very disappointed, and they are definitely not worth the money.

    Such a disappointment...

    • Written by Steven T from BIRMINGHAM

Owned for just over a year. Only used once or twice a week at most and now the charge barely lasts two hours. Genius Bar can only offer a replacement at a cost of almost a brand new pair of AirPods.

    Awful. Enormous waste of money

    • Written by Cyrus S from Plainfield

Started out working fine, although sound quality not nearly up to par for headphones that cost $150+. Then the left Airpod kept disconnecting, repeatedly. Tried disconnecting and pairing several times before it would finally work again. Only to disconnect shortly thereafter. Again and again and again. Enormously annoying and cumbersome.

    Poor Sound Quality & Volume

    • Written by Christopher Y from Vista

Tried these with my iPod and could hardly hear at max volume, tried a lot of things recommended online such as disconnecting from device, removing for Bluetooth list and then reconnecting, and did not fix a thing. Was very disappointing because the wired earbuds from apple work so well for me. For the price, airpods are not worth the poor quality. Took back to best buy for a refund the very next day.

It started off working just right but after a couple of weeks. The quality of the sound began to get worse as I could not really hear much. The frustration of the pods disconnecting countless of times every time I try to connect them back it would give me an issue. I see all these great reviews I must of been the lucky one to get a defective piece.

    Not compatible with android phones

    • Written by Ross W from Stockport

Although able to connect, the volume is capped on on android devices with the airpods so its a struggle to hear anything playing. Would reccimend another brand specifically designed for androids.

    Stopped working after a week

    • Written by Jason L from Pasadena

For all the great press these buds get, I think it all because these guys reviewed them for less than a week. After one week of using these, I keep having to reset the connection to my iPhone. For over 150 bucks I expect way more consistent automatic and wireless connection. Don’t believe all those other reviews; those guys probably got free AirPods that were only paired with their iPhones, and no other devices. Nothing is more frustrating that having to spend 20 minutes resetting the “well-designed” Bluetooth and pairing to have it work, and then having the AirPods suddenly cutout and have loud music blasting in public. Do better Apple...
