    Overrated, Environmentally Irresponsible Garbage

    • Written by Andrew M from San Jose

Where to begin on this product but overrated. Everything about them is a marketing ploy, they are not the same size as regular apple EarPods - the stem is thicker, so they don't wedge in your ear as well, therefore don't sound as good as wired apple EarPods.

They will only connect to one device at a time, if you want to connect to your phone AND mac or surface or separate iPod - you'd better buy another pair (thanks to some Cooked out marketer).

Everything breaks down from there, settings must be reset after every reconnection. Not to mention the stupid things must be charging before reconnecting.

Finally, why they use more plastic than regular earphones is infuriating. They feel so cheap, even the hinge is garbage.

I'm so sorry Jobs, but you didn't train your work-child.

Best I’ve had up until now, Apple products like this one just don’t seem to last as long. Battery issues and connection issues!

    Don’t stay in my ear

    • Written by Eric G from Madison

So I’ve hated the design from the beginning. I was convinced by sales guy at my cellular store that these fit better then the ones they send with the iPhones. So I bought them trusting he was telling me the truth. I didn’t make it 24 hours. First day at work one fell out and went down a floor drain. Gone. Now apple says$70 for a replacement! Half the price of a new set. For all the people who can keep these in good for you. For me it’s never gonna happen. I’ll never buy these again. Shame since I love all other apple products.

    Very disappointed

    • Written by Alessandro M from Firenze

It was a big struggle getting the AirPods to work both with my MacBook and with my iPhone. After numerous attempts at pairing and resetting the AirPods with both devices I managed to make them work.

They now work well with my Mac, but are giving me a lot of issues with my iPhone. Every time I want to use them I have to manually connect them from the Bluetooth settings in my iPhone, and the connection is far from perfect: even if my phone is very close to me (e.g in my pocket or in my hand) I hear the audio crackling very often, which is extremely annoying.

You would expect headphones which are so very expensive to not have all these issues.

(Both my MacBook Pro and iPhone 6 are running the latest operating systems)

    Break easily!

    • Written by Franco C from Tucson

I’m on my third Air Pods! Why? Because they have fallen out of my ear into the desk when I’m doing school work and each time the tapping to get Siri or to control the music area always goes out. So I recently threw my last pods in the toilet and literally flushed them. Apple is great but the air pods not so great. I just got done purchasing the beats x but so far the sound quality is poor so I resorted back to the wired head set. Bleh!

Do not buy not worth your $$$

    • Written by Jeff A from Singapore

Been using my AirPods since June 2017, did not expect the battery degrades after 1.5 years from 5 hours to 1 hour of music, the drop was whooping 80%, and it was only with moderate use, are Apple expecting customers to change Airpods every single year? Frankly the premium paid does not justify its life span!

    Easy to lose!!!

    • Written by Ujas P from Mary Esther

I purchased a pair air pods last summer. They were a perfect set of wireless headphones, but after just a month they started cutting the noise out sometimes and would turn off by itself. After 3 months, I lost them!! I panicked and did not know what to do. I searched the whole web to see how t o find them. All it said was to check “find my iphone”. It showed my last location of using them, but it wasn’t there. I lost them at school and I checked the spot but it was gone. I am positive somebody had stolen it. Apple can only give a replacement of one airpod or the charging case. It was a waste of &170.

Magical at first then 2 years later garbage.

    • Written by Bradley W from Mt. Juliet

If you are looking for a headphones that will last more than 2 years this is not your product. I'm a huge early adopter of Apple products, but when you pay 160 bucks for their premium product and they gradually stop working after 2 years it's not worth it. Not to mention they will sell you replacement AirPods at 69 dollars per AIrpod.

    Terrible Waste of my money!

    • Written by Evan W from Holly

I’m a HUGE Apple fan, but these are terrible! I’m young so I don’t have much money, I saved for these and bought them. A month of using them I love them they’re great. Then the left one quit working didn’t connect or charge. So I asked some people with AirPods and online they said disconnect and reconnect... now they won’t connect to any phone!!! This product wasted my money!!

Excellent, but it is overprice because connectivity's ability

    • Written by Enrique V from Germantown

I have owned multiple Bluetooth earphones for years and from different prices, and I say they are on average without a justified price. Let's see:

    Pros:

Easy to pair (just opening the box to connect any paired device; moreover, it is easy to pair the iPods with the iPhone and others)
Great sound. I do not understand other reviews; for instance, they really sound great on my Microsoft Surface table. Cool.
Portability. They are in the top with their close competitors (in this aspect).

    Cons:

Students or hard-workers: Do you connect your smartphone and computer at the same earphones while you work, study (at library for example), and others? Even they can be paired with multiple devices, only one device can be used at once. My Jaybirds' and TaoTronics' earphones can at three times less cost. Ohhhh.

In short, they are good because portability, yet they are at low cost level earphones because connectivity.

    Left gave out

    • Written by William B from Edmond

I got these from family for my birthday in November. They were a 10/10 for the first month and a half, an exceptional gift for anyone. About a week ago, however, the left AirPod starting giving out. In the course of a week, the left AirPod had completely given out. The right one worked perfectly, but the left wasn’t playing hardly at all. The left would still connect but you could barely hear it. Honestly it’s extremely disappointing, this is such a great product, I was so excited to get them, and that excitement continued until they started to not work. I love AirPods, the feel of them, the quality of music, but you can’t have them giving out within 3 months of purchasing. They would be a 1000/10 if they worked for more than 3 months.

    Horrible for phone calls

    • Written by Matthew S from LINDEN

The sound during a call will pop and click nonstop. I have called support several times and they even swapped them once. It's absolutely annoying. People on the other end complain about the quality of the connection. When I switch to my iPhone, everything is fine. I have also found that they don't activate immediately and sometimes I need to take them out of my ear and put them back in. I've given up on using them for anything but lengthy handsfree calls and only if it is absolutely necessary. Another POS Apple product. Save your money. These aren't worth it.

The Worst Apple Product I Have Ever Purchased

    • Written by Jesse I from New York

I purchased the AirPods with high hopes and expectations. I mean, Apple, right? This is hands down the worst product I have every purchased from Apple. I experience major connectivity issues constantly. The AirPods seem to have trouble "talking" to my iPhone. The sound quality is average, at best. They constantly fall our or, at best, dangle loosly from my ear lobe. I don't get it Apple. When you shipped the free wired version of your headphones with the iPhone year after year, everyone complained about the fit. Every complained that they constantly fell out. One would think you'd take in this feedback to design something better...to design something that "just works". Instead of thinking about redesigning the portion of the ear buds that sit inside the ear, you kept the same design and the same problems persist. Finally, the AirPods are greedily overpriced beyond words. $160 for troublesome ear buds with connectivity issues and average sound quality is something only Apple has the gall to pull off. I want Apple to be succeed. I want Apple to continue its legendary history of innovation. But these AirPods left me disappointed. I don't know what's going on at Apple these days. We're seeing quality issues like never before. We're feeling more and more pressure to purchase Apple Care because we can no longer trust the quality of their products. We're seeing a business model based on planned obsolescence and "sustainability", which doesn't even make sense. Please pull it together. Please listen to your users. Please take our feedback seriously. I am getting very close to the last straw.

    Hardtime using airpods

    • Written by Henrique D from Belo Horizonte

Trying to use it with my iPhone it gets disconnected after 30 seconds EVERY TIME (using with different Apps)

Trying to use it with my Mac, when I play fornite, all the game sound is turned off when my voice is enabled. Using my Apple earbuds with cable works fine.

When I try to check battery life opening and closing the case, it never recognises my devices and the dialog to display battery life never shows up.

So basically everything I try to do with it, I have a hard time. It's way too expensive to not work properly.

Pathetic in terms of connectivity b/w Apple devices and windows devices

    • Written by Sunil R from Irving

It was very pathetic AirPods and annoying a lot in terms of Bluetooth connectivity when we use between Apple devices and windows devices back and forth. It was not connecting properly when I disconnected from windows devices and connecting back in Apple devices, Bluetooth connection was not connecting properly, it was always creating nuisance.Apple designed this product is worst in terms of Bluetooth connection when user trying to use between multiple devices like windows and Apple.

In this case you have only option is to choose to select forget device option in Apple phone and again needs to connect as new device to continue listen songs using AirPods in Apple phone . I hope Apple will see my review as baseline to fix this issue.

Pathetic device if you want to use this AirPods between multiple devices in terms of connectivity.
