90 min talk time on one charge for 160$ -not worth it.

I invested in AirPods thinking it would help at work- shuttling between meeting rooms and airports. The one star is for design, it definitely helps to not have a wire hanging around. it does not stay in my ears but I did get the third party earhooks from Amazon to keep it in place. With that I love the design.
However, battery life is a disaster. After full charge overnight, it lasts for no more than 1 hr 30 minutes. If you have a teleconference for 2 hours, it will be dead,so forget about going a day through. For the cost (160$) it does not give you even 160 minutes of call time in one charge. I will be trying the Bose that apparently gives way longer talk time on one charge! Do not recommend for business use.

A week after I bought it,
First, double tap is intermittent (except for Siri) then it just CAN'T connect after a few day.
Apple found that my airpods are defective and replaced it.
After 2 days of using the 2nd unit, the double tap is NOT working again and had me back and forth the apple store.
If I know I'm buying GARBAGE, I should just bought a cheaper GARBAGE!

Arguably the worst apple product I ever tried

I tried making phone calls with the AirPods and people could not hear me at all. It is very noticable even to a person who is not an audiophile that the sound is annoyingly low and unreliable. The sound from one ear is different from that of another ear even when using them simultaneously; Ironically that changes from day to day. If you take one side off to charge it, the sound quality becomes worse.
Even when I returned it to the store to exchange it for another pair, the new pair did not work either. With the new pair, I could see the manufacturing adhesive (glue) on the outside of the AirPods, and there was a weird blue color on the inside case. This was not just one set of AirPods offering a horrible experience but different sets of AirPods, therefore it is reasonable to conclude the entire AirPods product line has a problem and needs to be fixed.

The worst earphones ever ... they keep falling off and I keep catching them but till when I’m gonna keep catching them falling off , plus the sound is very very low unless if you put them both on witch it seems to be really difficult since the left side won’t stay in for more than one second.... so mad at you Apple, I’ll be returning them soon better than losing $160

Falling often from my ears :(

I am not suree if it is my ears or if it is the airpods. But these airpods don't really stay on my ears, they fall too often :(. So finally I had to bite the bullet and sell them... The quality is OK, it is not really that high compared to other headphones and earphones (within the same price range).
Personally I went for Sennheiser Momentum M2 (wireless).

    Airpod flaws

I was trying not to be the one to write a bad review on these airpods but I have to be straight up and honest since I have had two pairs and lost both pairs. For one the case itself is hard to keep up with. You have to make sure at all times you know where this case is. I went on Amazon and brought a case for the case to hook on my key chain. That only helped a little. I then lost both airpods and was NOT able to successfully find them using the Find My Iphone app. I believe one slipped out my ear and I didn't realize it. This is crazy!!!!! So since I still liked the things I went and got another pair and I swear I have lost the whole case with the airpods inside and they CAN NOT be located again with the Find My Iphone app. I know that they are charged up. Apple this is all bad and some improvements to those airpods has to be made. The headphones cost way to much for these problems I am having. I cant find my airpods nowhere and they are NOT even showing up in the Find My Iphone app at all when I try to locate them. I feel like I have wasted a lot of money trying to support this company. I spent $160.00 times 2. I'm sick right now because the second pair of airpods I have brought are lost, case and all and I cant locate them at all and i started looking for them right away. Apple yall owe me something cause I have been going through it with these dump as airpods. People maybe consider another company for headphones until apple fix glitch.

Many Good Qualities and Some Flaws

Pros: I bought my Airpods and loved the Independence that it offered, they were lite weight, and I was impressed by the quality of sound it delivered.

Cons: They are pricey, they are small and easy to misplace, they kept falling out of my ear, after a few months of use the speaker on the right side was going out.

The worst part, I ended up losing them: I thought that I would protect my investment by buying an Airpod case that clips to a bag, from Amazon. I clipped the waterproof unit to the outside my purse and for several months it was great; however, the clip gave way at some point without me knowing and I lost them.

Bottom line: Before I consider purchasing a replacement, Apple needs to find a way to add security to this item (as they do for their phone and watch) so that when they are lost or stolen they cannot be a finders reward.

Used to work great, now I hate them...

I don’t know if it’s yet another failing of iOS 11, but hate doesn’t begin to express my feelings about these once magnificent headphones. Having been using these since the day they were released and owning several pairs, they have gone from flawless to unreliable and a nightmare. Rarely to they automatically sync with my iPhone by simply opening the case and putting them in my ear. I now have to manually connect them every time I take them out. They also now constant disconnect in the middle of calls. This may now be the only Apple product which is worse than Siri.

    Works wonderfully...for 2 months.

Ive had to changed the right airpod first, then the left one. And now the right one once again because every two months they will individually give
up on me. Be wary. Will not recommend.

    Magic my a**!

These things are great, when they work. I’ve had all the components replaced multiple times, but these pieces of trash always have issues charging in the case or connecting to your device. Huge headache, and not worth the price at all. I’d expect this from a $30 pair of bt headphones...

    Can’t Use While Working Out!!

I bought these to use at the gym and they are absolutely terrible. They can’t handle sweat at all. The right bud constantly shorts out from sweat and I have to keep getting it replaced at the store. There are DEFINITELY not worth the high price tag. Don’t get me wrong, the sound quality is great when they work - they just never work. If you plan to use them to work out - i’d suggest checking out a more reliable brand.

2 steaming piles of fecal matter.

1st pair I bought were garbage. The left one wouldn't charge. Took them back and swapped them out for new ones. On a full charge they were dead in less than 30 minutes. My phone recognizes the case 1 out of every 4 times you open it. (For a status read out.) I can't believe I dropped $170 on these!!!! Just spend $25 on some bluetooth headphones on amazon.

No access when phone is locked

I can’t believe that these have been out this long and Apple has not figured out a way to allow the user to initiate a phone call while the iPhone is locked. Many states require hands free phone conversations but, you can only answer a call, if your phone is locked. Why is this so difficult?

They are so easy to lose, and so tiny, you never remember where they are and if you lose them , it doessnt show you the location it shows you the last time you opened them so if you lose them basically there goes 159 dollars down the drain, don’t waste your time with this product, you will be disappointed!!

Bluetooth: Connectivity has been a major issue. Daily dropped calls, losing connection while listening to music, etc.
Microphone: The microphone is super sensitive; it captures EVERYTHING. Make sure you're in a quiet place when talking on the phone.
Battery Life: Nowhere near as good as advertised.

Ear compatibility: The airpads do sit nicely in the ears. Good for walking around your house listening to music (when the bluetooth connection works).

Prognosis: While the airpods do work ok when in a home environment, I would not recommend buying them for more than $40-$50. If you can get them at that price point, then enjoy! Otherwise, buy a lower cost alternative that will maintain a bluetooth connection.

Great...when they work, which is rarely

I bought the Apple AirPods in May 2018. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound quality - when they work. I would have one AirPod that wouldn't play music (usually the left one) while the right worked just fine. Thinking it was a charging issue, I cleaned the connection point and it connected and showed 98% battery on that left AirPod. I tried "forgetting the device" and reconnecting, I tried turning off auto detect for when they are in your ears, I turned the microphone to only one side - all the suggestions I could find online. All were temporary fixes or didn't work at all. I couldn't complete a simple 1 hour workout without losing sound in either of the AirPods while the functions (tapping for next or previous song worked just fine). When they would both play music, the sound coming out of the left AirPod was much quieter than the right regardless of volume. From what I have read online from other users, it appears to be a firmware problem and I am very disappointed in the product for the price point.

Double tap function does not work

I purchased these recently at target I was excited. I get home from work and test them out only to find that the double tapping function to play, pause or skip a track doesn’t work I need to tap them four times like a crazy person and I obviously can’t do that In public so I returned them at once not worth $159.99. Needs a small button on both to play, pause, skip track or call Siri. Air pods 2 need small buttons.

    Designed to Lose!

I love the sound, hate the design.
They are made to lose, the case is stupid and not practical
For carrying around. I sit it down or it slips out my pocket
Sheeeeesh! The design is not good for my ear and falls out all the time, the
Plug style works best for me. I’ve lost them 3 times, I’m soooo mad I refuse to buy them anymore
They need to make them better for carrying around and offer another style for different ear sizes and shapes.
A waste of almost $350 I feel like a fool!
