    Apple's product of the decade

    • Written by Dilir D from Chicago

It has almost no issues, if it fits your ears. The AAC audio codec is crisp & battery case is excellent. You almost forget that you have to charge them. I have been using them since 2018 Jan. Its 2019 Jan now and they still hold up well. Excellent job Apple.

I love them but 1 improvement needs to be made.

    • Written by Kyra J from Rosenberg

I love my AirPods but why isn’t there a tracker in the case. Why is it only the buds. Some people lose the case with the AirPods in them and can’t find them because on find my iPhone it shows up as offline. That’s the worst part of them.

    • Written by Gianna S from Palm beach gardens

I received these as a gift and don’t get me wrong, they are great but they don’t stay in my ears and I have lost them numerous times. I still love them and use them almost everyday I just wish they would stay in my ears.

Fantastic product missing the most basic feature...volume management!

    • Written by Thierry C from Coral Springs

I was thrilled to order my airpods as I was already seeing me wearing them without the hassle of the wire until I received them... They fit very nicely in the ear, are super comfortable, so comfortable actually that you could wear them all day long. The sound is good enough for such a small thing but there is something I really, really missed using them compared to the wired version: managing the volume without having to reach for my iphone, ipod or any other device! You can set a double tap pre-defined fonction on each pod but not even a single or triple tap to set the volume which is ridiculous in my opinion especially if you do not want to use Siri to decrease/ increase the volume by shouting loudly in public “hey Siri... decrease that bloody volume!” when the sound becomes suddenly unbearable.

    Pros and cons

    • Written by Adriana L from Tolleson

I have never been crazy about air pods because they are so easy to misplace. And that’s exactly what happened to me, I forgot they were in one of my pockets and ended up getting washed with my laundry. I freaked out, but right away put them in rice with a couple of silica gel packets for a couple days. I really didn’t think they were going to work, I was ready to buy new and cheaper headphones for myself. But before I did that I had to check if my air pods would work and they did to my surprise!! They work perfect, as if nothing happened to them!! It’s a great product, being that they are wireless and Bluetooth it’s perfect for the gym and for work, but you do have to be cautious. Lesson learned.

    Good

    • Written by Nicole P from East Boston

I really love these earphones, they sound great, they’re convenient and they fit just fine in my ear. One thing I didn’t like was that I dropped one AirPod and it got scratched so now it looks like they’re old. Another issue I have with these is the fact that they attract lint and dirt, I constantly clean them and wipe them away because they attract things- none of these things are issues with the quality of the product so I can deal with them. My only concern and the reason why I deducted a star is because I always have connectivity issues. It takes so long for my AirPods to actually connect to my phone. The image shows as soon as I open the case but the sound does not come on right away, sometimes it doesn’t even connect with my iPhone even though they’ve been set up on the phone. It gets annoying taking the earphone in and out of the case trying to make them work.

    Great Everyday Headphones

    • Written by Brett P from London

I've been using the AirPods for almost 6 months now, tacking around 2019 hours on them according to the app called snd.wave. I have enjoyed the AirPods, and have to say that they are one of the most durable pairs of headphones that I have owned so far. The AirPods, have been the staple in my tri-device 15" MBP, iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 3 ecosystem and I look forward to continuing my use of them.

I will note, that after extended use, my AirPods have become muddy sounding at low volumes, as most listening I have done are at the maximum setting.

Amazing but if you lose them...

    • Written by Barbara M from Frisco

My airpods work amazingly! I love how i can listen to anything on my phone and trick my siblings to thinking that i’m listening to them. But however if you lose them find my iphone doesn’t help you. they only tell you when you last used them and the time. So you could’ve gone to a friends house across town, use them there, go out to eat, see a movie, go home and you wouldn’t know where they were. It doesn’t matter that they have a full battery the app still won’t let you play sound. oh and get this, once you find the airpods find my iphone gives you a notification that they were found nearby. so if you get these, keep up with them. I’m still on the hunt for mine.

Overall good, but some slight problems

    • Written by Dimitri K from Lake villa

I received them for Christmas and I love them. They have a rather long battery life, as well as the ability to recharge in the small white case. My airpods haven’t fallen out yet, except for one time where I had suddenly stepped on the brakes while going 50mph. And even then only one came out. Although they don’t tend to come out, I wouldn’t trust that they won’t fall out in all circumstances. When you first put them in and listen to music you get very good sound quality, but when I leave them in for around 2 hours my ears hurt. Most of the time I don’t even realize I have them in, except for when my ears hurt from having them in for hours on end. They also have a surprising amount of customization in your settings. You can set it so that double tapping on your left pod can Start Siri, skip your music track, pause and much more. You can also customize what double tapping your right ear pod does. Overall a very well designed product that I recommend. My only two problems are that they don’t always seem secure in your ears, and after a while they make your ears hurt.

The review that ends the argument

    • Written by Vy D from Gorham

I’ve had airpods for a year and a half. Never have they failed on me, never have I had a problem. All these people leaving one star reviews most likely didn’t know what they were doing. My airpods have worked perfectly from the day I took them out of the box. The only reason I won’t give it 5 stars is because they only hold a few hours of charge before I have to stick them in the case, which is to be expected considering this is Apple’s first shot at this sort of technology. I am 100% satisfied with this product. Don’t let the bad reviews get to you, these things are beautifully designed, work like a charm, will last as long as you take care of them just like any other piece of tech.

I love AirPods, I really do, but I wish you could track them and the case. I know you can use find my iPhone but it only works when they're out of the case and I wish it worked all the time because I think somebody stole mine and I have no way of finding them.

    Best Earphones

    • Written by Audrie D from Southbury

Ok, listen yall, hands down one of the best earphones I've ever used. The one bad thing about these is that I wish the volume could be a little louder but its volume is still very good. Now with all the positives, quick charging, easy to carry around, fast connection to your phone, durable...When I say durable I mean durable, you don't even know how many times I've dropped my earphones. And the worst of all my family accidentally forgot they were in a pocket and they went into the washing and drying machine...AND THEY STILL WORK PERFECTLY. I would 10/10 recommend these.

    Excellent

    • Written by Juston J from Carlingford

The Apple airpods have punchy base and overall sound very nice. The build is definitely up to standards and looks like the average high quality Apple product.

Obviously these airpods are made for convinence and not for audiophiles. The sound sounds absolutely amazing, but will not meet the conditions for your cliche audiophile.

These airpods are convinent, but if you are an audiophile I’d recommend another brand. I sold my Sennheiser Momentum Free’s for these True wireless earphones and I have to say, I’d prefer this over the Sennheiser.

Because of the how easy it is to use and it is wire free obviously.

    Pros:
    Accessible
    Punchy base
    Convinence
Sound quality is good for your your average joe
One of the cheapest high quality true wireless earphones on the market
Apples support team able to resolve any issues easily with Apple having one of the best support services in the world.

    Cons:
    Not for your typical audiophile
Price may not seem worth for it’s audio performance.

Great, but find my iphone feature needs work

    • Written by Justin M from Davison

These are hands down the best headphones Ive ever bought, especially for wireless headphones. I had wiredless urbeats, and they didnt hold a charge for half as long as my pods do, and the pods sound way better. The urbeats also had a cord on them to keep them together even though they were wireless, which was annoying. The charging case is also a game changer. So nice. However, Apple you gotta work on the find my iphone feature with them. Apparently you can only track them when they are outside of the case or when the case is opened, so I just spent an hour looking around building on campus where I had been earlier where the last connection was, when they were in my room but not being sensed by my iphone because the case wasn't open. If apple could allow them to be able to connect within the same radius but while the case is closed, these headphones would be an easy 5 stars.

    Excellent Wireless Headphones

    • Written by Dudley L from Basildon

Very impressed with these AirPods. Most important for me first and foremost was the sound and for an eternity I did not buy these believing that they would be too tiny, as they were not the In-ear "sealing" type (i.e. earphones that insert fully in the ear forming a seal with the rubberized soft section). Also I based the sound on the old classic wired EarPods which did sound painfully tinny to me. However the AirPods incredibly give quite a decent sound much to my surprise and relief!

The shape and design of the Airpods are decent and small. The charging case is very well made and the AirPods get magnetically sucked into them rather nicely for storage and charging.

The Airpods could do better though when using them with other devices apart from the usual Apple products, primarily with Windows laptops/tablets. After all the Airpods are using the Bluetooth "standard" which should work well with other devices incorporating the Bluetooth connection standard. They work for the most part but with both setup issues but more importantly it's during use that issues are experienced. Momentary loss of connection for one or both AirPods and initial delay in engaging sound/mic connection when using, i.e. Rosetta Stone on the PC may find the AirPods problematic as the AirPod's Mic may not kick-in quick enough from it's auto muting technology or noise cancelling technology. This makes the AirPods almost unusable for this, which is why I may be focusing on the Version 2 of AirPods when released.
