    All wireless products have issues.

I don't like the sound. It's not audiophile quality and the signal drops off too easily. I'm like WTF...the phone's in my pocket. Where else am I gonna put the phone? And the buds eat my iPhone's batteries. To be fair, wireless products that work off the battery of a device they connect to, will drain that battery more quickly.

The Beats ear phones are wired and they have their own battery that you have to recharge. That could mean they don't drain your iPhone's battery, which is good. I'm not sure about that because I don't have Beats. I'm going to look for a good pair of wired buds. I can't lose them when they're around my neck either. These are going back.

Will you lose yours? Guarantee it!

Greatest marketing ploy in the history of marketing. The ONE THING I feared when buying these was that I'd lose them. When I got them I thought, nope, I'll just keep them in the case and they won't get lost.

Well...opened the case today and one is missing. Where is it? Have no freaking clue. Think I'll find it? Probably not. I ordered a second set but I'll just lose those too. Cancelled the order today.

Until Apple puts a "locator beacon" in these things, save your money and buy the ones you hang around your neck like a dog collar. That's the best technology can do.

Nice try, Apple. Great product, if you can only FIND IT!

Should have come in various colors

Excellent earbuds. LOVE THEM!!! The only reason why I did not give it a perfect 5 stars is because it is only available in white. They should have at least provided a black version.

    Simply Amazing

Hands down the best Apple product from the last decade. Finally a product where "it just works" really fits the bill. No they don't fall out, yes they last forever on a charge, and yes the bluetooth connection is very strong.

Buy it, try it, you won't regret it.

    Great Product by Apple

Very happy with this product, what a convenience of not having wires all over you. Works fine, paired ones automatically , never again had to pair again. I have used them for 8 month everyday and never had any problems. Awesome design, light, fancy with beautiful and precise finish. Easy to carry around and quick charge is such a convenience on the go. The sound is just amazing , perfect for gym and waking around with them on. 10/10 from me. Well done Apple!!!

Best wireless earbuds you can buy.

If you are thinking of getting these - I highly recommend it. These headphones have simplified my life in so many ways. The easy pairing makes it effortless and 0 problems. No wires is one of the biggest plus. If you are a runner, these are definitely a great choice for headphones while running. Paired with an Apple watch, you are walking out of the door with nothing in your hand. The reviews for the Powerbeats3 are exceptionally low, so if you are comparing them with the airpods, the airpods get the edge. The battery on the airpods are very good. I can't imagine anyone using them for the full life of around 5 hours straight, so when you are done with them and put them in the case, they are already charged to max and the case will last a couple days depending on how much you use them obviously. I had to wait 6 weeks for these to ship but now it is at 1-2 weeks. With that shipping time these are for sure a need for you. I highly recommend buying.

    Indistinguishable from magic.

'Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.'
    ~Arthur C Clarke

Apple is fond of using the word 'magical' to describe its products; AirPods are an instance when this isn't hyperbole.

I own numerous BlueTooth audio devices—five different earbuds including the BeatsX. None of them are as easy to use or as solid over BlueTooth as the AirPods (although the BeatsX are close). They sound terrific, great battery life, a pleasure to use.

The only downside for me is they don't fit my ears that well and it takes me a few tries to get them securely seated.

    Completely underrated

I have never liked the sound quality of the wired earbuds, and they never fit well. These are a completely different beast. The quality of the sound is shockingly good, with impossibly great bass. I have a pair of Beats Solo on my desk that I haven’t used now in the year since having the AirPods. I use them while running, and all day at my desk. A few times on back to back calls where I’ve been on the phone or video conference for hours, they have run down. It’s not a problem, I pop one out and into it’s case, and five minutes later put it in and do the same thing with the other one. It’s not a problem at all for the convenience and quality of these. If I get up to get coffee, I take them out and put them in the case. By the time I get back, they are fully charged. Looking at them online or in the store, they are underwhelming, and haven’t received the attention they deserve. They are truly an amazing product. Go try them in the store and you’ll see what I mean. A note to those who complain about the fit, falling out etc., friction fit doesn’t work with greasy or hairy ears. A little grooming, and there is no problem, you want these clean anyways. Take a tissue and wipe out your ears and your airpods and they will stick and fit extremely well. I do this before a two hour run and they never move. Once every few days I wipe them with an alchohol wipe to ensure they are clean. Of all my Apple gear, this is by far my favourite. When I first saw the Watch, I thought that a $500 remote for my phone made no sense, but after having one, you can’t take it away from me, I’d give up my phone first. The same goes for these. At first you wonder why you would possible want them, until you have a pair. It’s using them that shows you the value.

    Magical

Love these little beauties. They are so simple yet so perfect. I used to absolutely hate the tangles and frustrations with wired headphones and now I'm free. I've been really surprised at how far you can go from your phone and still have the connection, I also love the fact you can have one in or both in. They connect so seamlessly and the quality is really good. I often answer a call on my phone and then reach into my pocket, take my airpods out whilst I'm talking, put one in my ear and the call transfers seamlessly to the airpods - LOVE IT!!. My only very minor thoughts for improvements would be this: they are a bit fidgety, I would imagine a lot of people drop these and risk them then disappearing down a drain hole. You do have to be a bit careful when you're getting them out as it's not that easy to grip the top and there is a risk they slip out of your fingers. Also connections to non-apple products, like my work laptop, is not that good based on limited tests, but Im not sure if that's something apple can fix.

Great when they work - frustrating a lot of the time

First, if you're just going to pair with an iPhone, I'm sure these are great. I switch back and forth between my iPhone 7+, Macbook Pro 15" Retina and iPad Pro. It's less than reliable when switching. It'll sit there spinning and sometimes the only way to get it to switch is to turn off the bluetooth on the device it's currently paired to.

Second, you only get two hours of talk time... I guess that's reasonable, but it wasn't obvious to me when I bought it and I spend a good chunk of the week on conference calls that last more than two hours (that's a different problem - but not one apple can fix). I swap between ears, but see (1) above and the lack of reliability means there's a good chance when I switch ears, the new pod doesn't come online. Very frustrating.

awesome headset - but no audio controls at all

Simply the headset is awesome, it connects almost effortlessly and is really easy to use.

the headset quality is as superb as usual from Apple.

the only thing that I complain about is the audio control.

there is no volume control. there is no forward or backward controls to the music it is meant for originally.

this makes things harder than usual to turn on the volume or skip a song. talking to Siri to do so is complicating things than simplifying them as apple usually does.
