If they didn't fit before, they won't fit now.

The sound quality, the material, and the ease of use are great. The AirPods mesh perfectly with my iPhone. However, if your going moving around a lot or working out with these, they may have a difficult time staying in. As soon as I worked up a sweat these AirPods began falling out of my ears. I had the same issue with the original earbuds. I've purchased silicone covers that help keeps these locked into my ears now, but unfortunately now they don't fit into the charging case with them on. So in order to charge them I've got to remove the silicone covers each time.

This shows Apple's quality. Best earphones ever owned.

AirPods plus iPhone 7 with an Apple Music subscription show the DEEP integration that Apple has between the hardware, software, and services. These earphones have given me a 100% satisfaction. They are durable, great sounding, comfortable, and have fantastic battery life for how small these things are. Audio quality I personally found to be on par with Beats Solo 2. Great bass for a tiny package. They are so light and small there is zero compromises with dexterity; it's as if the music is being beamed directly into your head. They get plenty loud with no distortion. I also love the automatic pause feature when you take one earbud out, very handy for conversations. Even using only one is just as simple. A few things to take note of if you are purchasing it though. As fantastic as these earbuds are, and as much R & D put into the shape so they can fit as many peoples ears as possible, it still is a one size fits all. It is no problem for me, but if the included EarPods do not fit your ears, I would look elsewhere as these are nearly identical. Also, if the microphone is running, say on a phone call, the audio you hear is a bit reduced since the bandwidth for bluetooth is limited. This shouldn't be an issue if its just voice however (since over the phone audio isn't very good to begin with). An absolute fantastic product, I am glad they took their time on this one.

    OK sound - horrible controls

These Airpods have ok sound. Not great-I had to use treble boost eq to make them sound ok.

Airpods have some very serious issues. I have no idea why they are getting good reviews. Consider:

    1. I cannot answer a call with them. If a call comes in and I open the case and put one in my ear it can take 5-10 sec before they pair! The call is hung up already.

    2. Control of music IS REALLY BAD!!!! BIG TIME! Seriously, if I want to raise the volume, I have to double tap for Siri, and trust me, you have to hit these Airpods HARD to get them to react. Then get Siri. Then say volume up. Then wait 2 3 seconds for Siri to adjust the volume. Then wait another few seconds for the music to start playing again. UNACCEPTABLE!

    3. Skipping a song is the same issue. Who wants to interrupt their music to control their music. I don't!

    4. Apple desperately needs to add in music Hey Siri, so you can give a command to Siri while the music is playing without tapping and have Siri execute. They plan on doing it with Homepod, why not Airpods?

    5. Siri is having a really hard time understanding me. I thought these Airpods had super advanced sound modeling. I guess not.

These are NOT ready for primetime. Unless Apple comes out with some major improvements I think Airpods are borderline unusable. If this keeps up I am getting rid of them.

I was skeptical before buying but they are truly incredible!

I usually don't write reviews for products but I absolutely had to write one for these AirPods. I was unsure of buying them because I really thought they were just EarPods without the wires, and I was never a fan of those - they never fit in my ear, would fall off while walking/running, and the audio quality was pretty subpar. Flash forward to these Airpods and I am so impressed. The pairing process is truly "magical" as everyone who owns them describes. Just open the lid, click connect, and it pairs to your phone. The audio quality is pretty fantastic and better than what I thought it would be. They fit in my ears perfectly and have never fallen out while walking or even running on the treadmill. The battery life is amazing, and I get the advertised 5+ hours on a charge and then slip them in the case for them to charge. Pausing music is as simple as taking an AirPod out of your ear as to resume, just put it back in your ear. I have never had such a seamless experience with headphones (and I've previously owned Bose, Jaybird, etc.) With iOS 11 coming soon, you can even customize each AirPod's double tap function. AirPods are one of the best Apple products I have used and I am so happy with my purchase! If you're on the fence about AirPods, really just give them a try because you won't be disappointed!

    Good, but not the best

I've had the airpods since January 5th 2017. I gave it 3 stars because there are a few minor problems, of course, this is their first wireless earbuds.

    Problems:
    - Sometimes when I take both earbuds out, only one would be connected. I would have to put it back into the case to sync it back up so I can listen through it. Sometimes, it wont even connect when I put it back into the case.
    - At times, one airpod would charge whilst the other wouldnt
    - Sometimes when I go to charge the case with the airpods in the case, the airpods would not charge
    - Sometimes the airpod details will not pop up on my phone when i open the case right next to my phone

    Pros:
    - I love show I dont have to charge it every other day compared to the powerbeats
    - Good sound

    Overall:
    - This isnt worth $170 (tax included) in my opinion. You can get a WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY better set of headphones such as beats.
    - If you still want airpods then I suggest you wait for their next one (which they probably are going to release someday) that fill fix their kinks.

If Apple ear buds don't stay in, these won't either

After using these Air Pods numerous times for over a month I can truly say I'm disappointed. I tried a friend's Air pods initially and thought they'd be great since they stayed in my ears when I turned my head from right to left. After getting a pair for myself I realized that when I'm at the gym I have to look down to adjust the weight or look up for certain exercises. This is when they fall out. I spend the majority of my work out pushing the earbuds back into my ears because they feel like they're going to fall out and they have on many occasions. When mowing the lawn I would look down to pick up clippings and they would fall out. I've been using Apple products since 1985 and I have thoroughly enjoyed using their product, however; Apple doesn't realize that one size doesn't always fit everyone, nor do they seem to think their products through thoroughly before marketing them. Sadly, I think I'm in the minority of people who cannot use the original earbuds as my ears are not the right shape or something. I need something to hold the earbud around my ear so it won't fall out on the floor, in the sink, toilet or pile the of grass etc. Once again, I have wasted my money on something that serves me no purpose. Apple has made it their mission to make everything wireless when it comes to headphones. The dongle is a nice idea but it is one more accoutrement I have to keep track of. I gave the AirPods two stars because the features and Charging Case are awesome! I just wish Apple would think their product through a little more thoroughly and test them out on many different types of people before making something that not everyone can use. There are many design issues and flaws that I've had with Apple products over the years but I know that complaining about them here will change nothing. They're a large corporation and I'm a little person who is stuck with poorly thought-out innovation. If these work for you, congratulations! If not, I guess you're stuck with another product that could have been great if not then too bad for me.☹️

Amazing On Paper, Factory Problems Kill Them.

I was very excited to get my AirPods and was tracking every Apple Store near me, got a notification that they were available, ran to pick them up, bought them and went home happy and excited, only to find myself returning them without even being able to listen to a single song.
I opened them up, tried to connect them and I had to reset the case immediately after opening them just to connect them. I got them set up and noticed sound was only playing from the left AirPod, checked battery status and only the left one appeared on the Battery Widget. The right AirPod was fully discharged and after fiddling around I discovered the right AirPod wasn't making contact with the case, therefore not charging. The left AirPod charged and worked just fine in the case, while the right one didn't make contact with the metal connectors in the case correctly, I had to move it around to find the "sweet spot" and just closing the case was enough for it to stop making contact again. I checked forums and saw it was a fairly common issue with some users, so I packaged them up and went back to the Apple Store for a refund, disappointed. After looking forward to getting the product for a really long time I only came across disappointment. I will not be buying another pair at least anytime soon until there is a public fix to the problem. Apple should really take their time and develop the products correctly. Don't get me wrong the concept is amazing and the execution for the most part is great, but this problem, plus the AirPod charging case battery drain problem are just unacceptable. At least employees tried to help me fix the problem but I can't go home with a product that may or may not work properly, especially since it is not a cheap product.

    junk

I love these headphones when they worked but they have been failing to pair for a while now. They stopped working for a few days and I brought them to the Apple store of course they worked fine for them and again for me for another week. Now they cut in and out continuously it's like having a really bad line. On the off chance my network was the issue I paired them while watching hulu and the same issues were present sound in one ear then no sound then the other ear, like a tennis match the ball going back and forth. Of course I intend to go back to the Apple store when I can even find an appointment that worked with my limited free time, hopefully this time they will believe me and do something about them.

For now I am back to my wired headset and I am contemplating purchasing a different brand bluetooth headset.

The ultimate expression of 21st century audio freedom

I was a bit sceptical before I purchased the AirPods. I've owned Bluetooth earphones from JBL and Sony and they've mostly been very good but I decided to give these a try as I always found the wires linking earpieces on these other Bluetooth earphones to still be a limitation.

The first time I used them I realised the AirPods are really something else, a whole new level in freedom. Pop them in your ears, start playing music and off you go, After a few mins you don't know they are there except for the music being fed into your ears! What's even more fantastic is that when you've finished listening you can put them in the case and they're topped up again and ready to go! Even more useful you can adjust the volume from the Apple Watch which demonstrates great integrating of software and hardware and saves fishing for the iPhone, iPad, etc, or using Siri. Indeed these earphone act as full wireless headsets with built in Mics for taking calls and using Siri (double tap one of them either answers a call or summons Siri).

Amazingly they stick in my ears like glue unless I purposely remove them. I've even changed tops and not dislodged them and shaking my head my side to side deliberately will not make them budge!

The AirPods connect almost instantly to any device with your iCloud ID login and the range from the transmitting device is phenomenal leaving my previous best JBL's in the dust with no obvious loss of sound quality!

Sound quality is actually very good. It's quite subtle at times but A B comparison with other phones shows these have good sonic ability. I've owned better sounding headphones but most of these were more expensive devices.

On that note a couple of tips. You need to find the best orientation for your ears for the AirPods. I found having them orientated almost vertically downwards gave the most bass and the best overall sound quality but your experience may be slightly different. And secondly I purchased a bulk pack of cheap foam earphone covers and these make them fit slightly better and probably make them even more comfortable to wear. Also, because these covers are thin they still allow the AirPods to fit into their charge case.

Overall Apple have hit a home run with these earphones. They demonstrate why the freedom of wireless listening can be virtually compromise free and a fantastic experience. Very highly recommended.

    Perfect!!

Having waited for a long time, I finally bought a pair of AirPods today. First impression was fantastic. Perfect connectivity, amazing sound. Coming from EarPods to AirPods, they are certainly much clearer with more amplified sound. If you're debating these, just buy them. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

    Exceptional headphones and very high-tech

These are truly great headphones with very good quality sound. I'm not an audiophile, but very pleased. For those that are worried about them falling out of your ears, that hasn't happened and have had them since they came out late last year. I am an avid runner and cyclist and have run a half-marathon without any issues. The seamless transition between phone calls when you place in your ear is so cool. You will not regret purchasing these!

    Well Worth The Wait!

Finally got mine after the 6 week wait yesterday. Took them to work with me on Tuesday and they performed just as advertised. I work in a shipyard and these passed the test. Made it easy to make and recieve phone calls and listen to music on breaks between jobs without having to pull out my iPhone. The battery life is great and not once did I have to recharge the case at work. My only gripe is the case attracts alot of dirt between the lid where it opens around the rim of both halves. My sloution was to use a slightly damp Q-Tip to clean those areas at home. Wore them for 3 hours straight and they were still comfortable to wear. Good job Apple now lets hope you add the ability to change the volume and skip tracks via a gesture/tap of the Airpod itself later.

I loooooove my Apple wireless earpods

I'm very particular about my purchases when it comes to technology. I will research and compare specs, costs, reviews etc. for days before I finally commit. I am happy to say that the majority of my purchases always end up being very satisfactory because of this. I had been using jaybird x2 for the past year and had been very happy with them, but I also had been putting off buying ear fittings for them and decided that I wanted to look into the Apple wireless EarPods just out of curiosity. I never really thought I'd want them from when I saw them when they first came out (for the same reasons most others mention), but then when seeing that 90% of the reviews on these things were five stars I really became intrigued so I bit the bullet and bought them. Well.....from the moment I put them in my ears and heard the sound I was hooked. They are the best. I ran at a very fast pace at the gym today and they never budged. Thank you Apple!!

    Highly Recommend

I've done it. I have finally concluded that my AirPods are lost. Only thing I have right to blame - is myself. I mainly used these wireless headphones for the gym (amazing by the way), commuting to work, and phone calls I knew it would be awhile. The case matched the style of the wireless headphones which are both gorgeous. Great sound as well. Battery life is ++++. Buying another pair pronto. I need these in my life again. After wearing the AirPods for six months I attempted to use headphones with the cord. Well, it quite the odd experience. Like rollerblading for the first time ever. Anyways, i just noticed the word limit. Enjoy!

AirPods are all they're cracked up to be.

I had no idea they'd be this useful. I wear them running with the Watch, I use one of them for phone calls, I use them to listen to music on the computer in the office, I wear them to listen to the radio sometimes on morning walks. They sound terrific, better than what a lot of reviews claim. The only issue I have is that I needed to buy some silicone add-ons because they don't quite fit my ears. I'm one of the few. It's not a big deal, and they sound a lot better using those add-ons. And, they just work. Every time. Highly recommended.

    Tech Great - Functionality not

While I love the easy of use and the tech behind these they fail in one major and important way. They are too loose in your ears and prone to falling out if you bend over or move your head at the wrong angle. I have bought and added cheap silicon covers with an ear hook and that makes them 100% amazing, snug, don't fall out , but then you can't charge them without removing the silicone covers. If it wasn't for this I would give them 5 starts. The case I love, easy charging from case great. BUT fails due to bad loose fit in ears and prone to falling out of your ears

    Totally brilliant

A small revolution.....I'm sitting here in hospital with Serge Kousvitessky Double Bass concerto ...Gary Karr from my iPad..transported into a different world but under full control ....just take one air pod out and can instantly back in the real world... replace the air pod and instantly music back with total security that iPad is not going erupt with sound into the ward.....
Also brilliant if you play an instrument and love playing along with music insert just one AirPod adjust volume to balance with your instrument (violin in my case) you are playing with sound coming into other ear...also great for practise.
Cannot fault these in anyway...except fear of loss but as music stop instantly if they fall out but are pretty secure.
    Magic!

    Apple has done it again.

    AirPods are awesome very comfortable.
I'm one of those people that the EarPods weren't the best for.
However with no wires the AirPods stay put. Sound quality is brilliant.
I use them daily for hours. Also makes the best Bluetooth headset while using one.
Love the charging case very simple and elegant design. I highly recommend them.

What I have been waiting for!

I got the AirPods on launch day and can say that they are as advertised. I love them. The EarPods didn't stay in for me but that was due to the cable that would pull them out so the AirPods are perfect and definitely the only thing I use now.
