    I HATE THE DONGLE

the worst thing that apple did was add the stupid dongle. Its small, easily lost and they don't even sell one separately. Stupid design and one of the worst moves they have done. Now i have to buy a whole new pair of headphones for the dongle so so so dumb.

    Not working!

After 4 months of having the iPhone 7, it hasn't been a year yet and my earphones broke! The left earpod is not working anymore and they expect you to pay $100+ for the AirPods. I can't remember the one time I had my iPhone headphones for more than 4 months. Apple really needs to make durable EarPods that lasts longer than this EarPods with flimsy connector cords. The sound is amazing, but I want the durability along with it.

    Earpods shorted out

I've had the new Earpods with Lightning Connector since I upgraded to the 7+ in April 2017. It's now July and they have shorted out. The sound is great and they stay in during runs. I'm hoping that the second set that I'm ordering lasts longer than 3 months.

    Lightning connection is inconvenient.

Only able to connect to iPhone or iPad. I can't use it for my Macbook Air or Macbook. I don't think it is well thought through. Sound is good though. Good value but limited usage.

    Good at first but..

These earbuds were great in the beginning but then after a while the lightning connecter just broke off, I thought that they would last longer than just a few months

    Good!

I use these with my 6s at work so my Beats don't get damaged whilst I'm busy around my workplace. They're great because they're hard wearing and it means you can use your phone more naturally because the input isn't obscuring where you usually place your little finger underneath the phone! They're a great set of earphones and they're well worth the money.

    Unhappy

I had an iPhone 6s from the day it came out to the day I got my 7, never once did anything fail me but after a couple weeks of the new 7 headphones, the mic bit stopped working completely, ok not a big deal but then the wire at the end started "scrunching" up and the wire was horrible. Now just lost all sound in one side of the headphones and now I'm going to have to fork out £30 and expect the same result.

    Swimming Pool

Amazing Earphones. I went swimming, and my earphones were in my pocket (i was in the pool for 30 minutes). I forgot that they were in there, after I got out of the pool I realised that I had Left my earphones in my swimming shorts pocket, I let them dry in the sun, and both of them worked perfectly.

    I was amazed.

    Amazing

The quality of the EarPods are surprisingly superb. I was skeptical about the sound quality at first as it is not by the dependable audio jack but through the lightning port. But I was surprised by how much better the sound quality is compared to the audio jack. Great upgrade! I am now deciding on purchasing the wireless AirPods to see if the great reviews holds true. Can't wait for the new iPhone 8 and IOS 11 to be released!

Second broken pair in just four months!

As many other users noticed, these headphones become unusable after just a couple of months. Just sent in my second pair in for replacement. Randomly stopping-starting-skipping music and phone calls as the cord moves. Controls behave erratically. Microphone unusable half of the time.

I have been an Apple user since the 90s, and now I am very disappointed! At the iPhone price tag some serious quality control of all accessories is expected!

Great for iPhone 7, would even use it on my older devices

These have a pretty nice sound and a great build quality. They fit in my ear nicely without having those weird rubber ear things, which is a plus for me. I feel like they have slightly better audio quality, but that might be because they rely on digital audio and not on analog audio.
One thing that does bothers me is that these are not very useful with my macbook.

    Egh

The sound quality to me is good but the only problem is that the entry jack breaks way to easily. I'm about to buy a third pair in less than a year.

    Worst apple product

It's long been held that once the founder of a great company does, quality and innovation soon follow. Nothing could be more true than the quality of this product. Even at free they are still overpriced. Sound quality is ok but they work poorly for sound activation when needed and when not needed they pick up noise and activate Siri or voice control.

    Awful for outdoor use

Not sure why you would buy these, they come with the phone. I'm using them as the supplied lightning adapter broke within a month. Does anybody at apple even have ears? This is definitely a case of form over function. Smooth oval shaped plastic provides neither a snug fit or sound proofing. If you walking near traffic, commuting or are even near anyone talking you will not hear your music and the act of walking dislodges them. Don't get suckered in in to turning the sound up either, volume isn't the problem, it's the external noises drowning out your tunes and you will damage your hearing at the levels you need to listen at. The only time these buds show how good they can be is at home in complete silence, which really defeats the point especially with the iPhone 7 as you can't charge and listen anymore.

    Unnecessary

This was a horrible move by apple. Worst thing is I thought upgrading would provide you with a better product. iPhone 7 is just iPhone 6 with no aux cable leaving these EarPods as unnecessary wastes of money. It doesn't sound better, the location in the middle makes it an awkward fit. I'm actually down heading so I get the six back!

Had Two Pairs - Both Broke

I've had two pairs of these headphones. They both broke in the same way. After about 3 months of normal use (for either pair), they started skipping and pausing the music when the cord was bumped. I feel like Apple is pushing people to buy their AirPods or Beats so much so that they're satisfied selling a shoddy product to those who don't want to make the switch, and on top of that making people wait months for the AirPods.

    Garbage

Same as most of the other reviews. Hate these headphones, hate the iPhone 7. Done with apple products.
