The only thing I have ever regretted buying from apple.

It's a great case for the first few weeks. After that? Terrible. I am on my second battery case this year and the second one is already randomly disconnecting throughout the day. I haven't dropped either case and there is no debris in the connector. Going to make another trip to the Apple Store and get another one. Thank god there is a warranty ...

No idea why they call them protectors... my phone still cracked.

I bought this product cause I drop my phone often. So I went in the store and asked what was the best "protector" for this phone. So he gave me this product. A few days back my phone slipped my hand while seating down (not a lot of height) and when I picked it up, it was completely cracked. Of course called them, they asked me to bring phone in to check damages and after. We can fix it but it will be this much. I call to complain why they charge when the product didn't do its job. Why would I buy it, if it still cracked. He said that it was written somewhere when I bought it and accepted the terms. So if you need something to protect the phone. Don't think this product will do the job and when it doesn't. You will be screwed with a bill like everything apple does.

iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case - White: Lasted 3 months

I purchased the case in early October 2016. I could charge the case independently and the indicator LED went from orange to green. When charging with the iPhone attached the display would show the case charge and the iPhone charge.

It is now the first week of January 2017 and the case no longer works the way it did when first purchased. When charged without the iPhone the indicator remains orange (even after a day on the charger) and when paired with the phone the display shows only the status of the phone. This behavior is sufficient to discontinue using the battery case. Not a good buy and will investigate a non-Apple product.

One of the best, most useful Apple designs

I had the Smart Battery Case on the iPhone 6 and loved it. I thought I wasn't going to get it when I got the iPhone 7. But after a few days, I wanted it back. It's one of my favourite Apple designs of all time: useful, easy to use, form and function altogether. It merges with you iPhone. No hassle, no management. The phone and the case become a single device. With great grip, great battery life (2,635 mA on top on the iPhone 7's battery, this is huge) , great protection. And I love the look: clean, simple, futuristic.

    Sleek, Comfortable, and Powerful

This case completes the clean look that the iPhone 7 provides while offering a powerful product. The price is the only problem. For most people, including myself, the price seemed too high. Although, as soon as I put the case on, my worries seemed to melt away.

Bought iPhone7 of course needed battery case (my husband loves them) we usually get a mophie case. Thank god he went with this Apple battery case. I LOVE IT! I leave my phone all day with the case on. Apple makes the best products. The phone or case do not get hot throughout the day. Yes, the price is a bit steep, however, it is worth the money.

    Worth it? YES

Bought the iPhone 7, so i needed a case! I had a battery charger before from a third party. It was ok, but what i didnt like was i needed a USB charger, instead of the apple charger. BIG pain. So, i decided, why not? Ive had it for over a couple of weeks, and its really great. The case protects the phone well, the charging is really well. I really like it and its very convenient. What i dont like? well it is kinda heavy, and the bulky part in the back. but you get use to it. Buy it

The battery case is amazing. It might not look great but I promise you, the moment this case slips to your hand, you won't regret it. The design helps you grip the phone firmly and it doesn't feel bulky at all. I like the fact that you can charge both the casing and the phone simultaneously. The case has also weight in it but other than that, it's awesome

    Still my favorite case

I used to have the iPhone 6s so I bought the one that was compatible with it, and loved it! There was no question that when I got the iPhone 7 that I was going to buy this one. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good slim battery case that works well with the iPhone especially with the widget that shows you the battery level.

Don't let price and design scare you!

At first I was skeptical, do I really want this weird and expensive battery case? Did I ever need a battery case?

I purchase this case because I thought i'd give it a shot. 1 week in, I am amazed! I love the feel in my hand, and the design actually fit your palm just perfect for one handed use. In addition, the sound quality becomes better because the sound faces toward you. The case actually gets complaints in person and fellow iPhone users actually get compelled to buy it too. Also, this battery pack lasts me a good 2 days of medium use of internet, music,YouTube and texting. Its great for travelling and day to day use. It like buying the silicon case but with a battery hump.

    Initially great but soon problematic

Was quite happy when first purchased - as a business person needed the extra power to get a full working day out of the phone. But now it often won't charge the phone, phones shows "this accessory not supported". MassiveSolar very annoying to have the charge turning on and off all the time making a beep.

    Perfect phone partner

Works great with ios10 with the battery percentage clearly presented on the display. But one of the coolest things I believe this case does is that it provides true stereo speakers. It redirects the bottom speaker sounds from going straight down to right forward. This compliments the top speaker well and makes the entertainment side of the phone a lot better.

Don't let the price deter you away from this.

I've owned many battery cases from a lot of third party vendors over the years on several iPhones. Each ending up falling apart less than a year later. Some get little plastic bits stuck into the case (turning into a rattle), others make the phone feel uncomfortable to hold. It ends up being counter productive to the whole "slim phone" ideal.

Then comes this...oddly shaped case. First glance you might thing it looks awkward to hold, but on the contrary, it makes texting/viewing much more pleasant. It's single-formed case already prevents one of the the most common problems I've had with others: Tiny little bits of the frame breaking off. It takes the already beautiful silicone case, adds a pretty nice battery, and completely wraps it around the phone. No 2-part assembly that is prone to being lost/breaking off.

Simply insert the phone and you're in business. No extra micro-usb cables to lug around either as it uses Apple's own lightning cable. Charging is done all automatically, and no annoying LEDs on the case to guesstimate how much battery life you have left either. Your notification screen gives you an exact % before running your phone!

I've spent maybe $40/50 for a third party case. All failed in less than a year. But I definitely feel spending almost twice the price for this was worth it. Sure, there may be an "Apple Tax", but it provides everything you expect for a battery case that's presented in such a comfortable, thin way.
