    Would not recommend

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on these. The sound quality is pretty good but if you want to listen to your music loud, everyone around you will be able to hear it too. My biggest complaint is how after like 20 minutes of wearing them, your ears hurt and turn bright red because they're pressing on your ears so tightly. Would not recommend!!!

    New Favorite Headphones

I don’t write reviews often but these headphones are good enough to make me want to write a review. I’ve owned these for about 20 days now and used them almost every day. First off the battery. I haven’t charged them since day one and I’m still using them even as I write this. The battery is phenomenal and that’s one of my favorite things about the headphones. The sound is also really good, not as clear as my bose quiet comfort 30. Bose doesn’t make this headphone anymore because they upgraded all theirs to wireless. But from using both Bose and Beats I have to say that for pure sound quality then definitely get Bose. Beats also tend to favor bass a little more then Bose do. But the beats are definitely better in a couple areas. Battery life, durability, and portability. I would never take my bose running or work out in them, but the beats are great for that. They are a little tight, but I’d prefer them to be tight then loose. And the W1 chip means it pairs with my iphone as soon as I turn them on. Overall I definitely recommend them for people who are more active and not extremely particular about sound quality. Most people however would say they sound amazing. I’ve just compared them to Bose headphones and know those are a little better. Last thing I want to mention is about comfort. I’ve worn them for about 2-3 hours before they start hurting my ears due to the pressure of the headphones clamping to your head. After a short break you’re fine. Overall 10/10

    Love my Beats!

These headphones are great!!! They have wonderful sound quality, and they connect with no problem. All I had to do was pair them with my iPhone, and it paired with all of the rest of my Apple products! They came free with the purchase of the MacBook Pro. They are wonderful when I am exercising. They are very comfortable. The battery is great! I have used them for a over a day, and they are at 79%. I wish my iPhone had that battery life!!! I would highly recommend these, and I would buy them again!

A Unique Torture Device - Like a Vice Grip on your ear, a heated vice grip.

I thought I was imagining it and was pleasantly surprised to hear similar experiences confirming that you can't wear them more than an hour before they start to really hurt your head and your ears. The headphones actually heat up several degrees after use. I challenge Apple to do an actual test of how much they heat up. They most definitely heat up. Between that vice grip sensation on your ears and that heat, the only positive thing this has going for it is that its wireless and thats about it. I have to agree with others that the sound quality is alright, nothing amazing, and the volume is also rather low. If you were to Max out the volume it would barely sound maxed out. The sound insulation on these things also is not very good. Turning it up a little at the library can be heard by other patrons. So I'm wondering here : (A) The sound is not that good, (B) They hurt your ear, (C) They actually heat up after a while - well no wonder Apple is giving them away. Would I buy these things for 1/3rd of the price they are valued at ? No. I would not. Its a torture device.

    My ears hurt so bad

I like the way the headphones look and all but after around 15 minutes are so, I get a bad headache and my ears hurt a lot. I wish they focused more on the comfortability just like in other specifics such as portability and colours because its so not worth it to buy some headphones that cost a lot but has the poorest design for ears. Even though it serves a long battery life, I am not able to enjoy it to the fullest. Bad design.

    Ugh-need small ears!

These headphones are so uncomfortable! I can wear them for about an hour and then my ears throb. I prefer my Bose, which cost the same, but cover my ears entirely. Maybe someone with smaller ears will like these (such as a child, although, I really don't think I have large ears for an adult female, age 51!!) I rated these a two because I love that they are wireless.

    Not recommended

They came free with a new Mac. I would definitely not have spent real money on these. I generally don't like supra-aural headphones because they squish your ears and become painfully uncomfortable after a while. I would place my upper limit at little more than an hour before my ears and head are killing me.

Pros: seamless Bluetooth integration with my iPhone, controls work well, long battery life, nice fit and finish

Cons: sound too bass heavy (this is a Beats signature sound), uncomfortable, show fingerprints easily, not worth the money

The best thing I can say about these is that they inspired me to order a much better pair of noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones (different brand) because I'm now spoiled by wireless for office use.

Too tight on my head makes me feel extremely drowsy.

My husband got these for free with the purchase of our Macbook Air with a student discount. They fit so freaking tight on my head ( mind you I have a small head, I am 4'11 and weight 100 pounds) these literally hurt my ears,my head and make me extremely drowsy from the pressure on my head because they are so tight. Really has me second guessing if that why they are giving them away for free.
    Not cool at all.

    Very unreliable

I have had two of this model - the second was a replacement because the first failed. The second failed so Apple "upgraded" to the more expensive version. It failed the second time I used it. UNFORTUNATELY, Apple insists in replacing it a FOURTH TIME. This product line is garbage, buy at your own complete risk.
I would give zero stars if possible.

    Avoid this headphone!

The sound quality of this headphone is terrible. It is not of sturdy construction and the materials are not of high caliber. Do not waste your money on this headphone. I returned mine and purchased JBL headphones instead.

    The. Best. Ever.

    - incredible sound quality
    - long range for bluetooth connectivity (i left my phone in the kitchen, and took the trash out to the end of the road - approx 50 yards -
without a single blip in sound)
    - battery life is insane, i use them everyday and charge them maybe once a week
    - snug fit and easy to connect to all my iOS and macOS devices
    - 10/10 would recommend and buy again

Poor Sound Quality and Made of Poor Materials

I don't know if i'm unlucky or if Beats' headphones are just made of cheap materials. At the first glance, it looks pretty and seems that the materials are good but after 6 months of little use, the leather just started peeling of both sides. Then it began having charging problems until it just stopped charging. Very disappointing. A similar thing happened to when I bought the Solo3. Definitely not buying Beats' headphones again.

Very impressed. I was a little hesitant to buy given the price point, but I'm very glad I did. From the airport to the gym to home, from music to movies to TV, these are great, versatile headphones. The sound is very balanced, and I love that when watching a movie or TV, there's definitely a surround sound effect. Like most Apple products, controls are very intuitive (mostly from the left ear cup). The weight is enough that they feel secure on your head, but still unobtrusive. I wasn't sure how I'd feel with on-ear vs. over-ear headphones, but these are very comfortable, even when wearing glasses and earrings. Apple's W1 chip makes pairing these with any Apple device a snap (literally takes under ten seconds), and pairing with other devices is easy as well. At 40 hours, battery life can't be beat. I'm not sure of the max distance for the Bluetooth connection, but I did try leaving my phone upstairs while I did housework downstairs, and I heard no difference in the music.

As for aesthetics: these are very attractive. The design is simple and not too flashy. I bought the rose-gold color, which is more of a goldish-copper. Definitely not too pink. My mom has the red, and it strikes the right balance between fire-engine and cherry red.

    Best headphones ever.

    Why I recommend these headphones:

    - Stylish
    - Lightweight
    - Compact small design
    - Great soft carrying case.
    - Great Audio quality
    - Fast charge is epic
    - Standby time is fantastic
    - W1 Chip makes pairing/syncing easy.

    Only con's I have are:

    - Micro USB Charger, really?
    - No more then 3 hours of wearing until I get discomfort.

    Would Buy Again

I originally bought my Beats Solo 3 in the color rose gold with the purchase of my Iphone 6+. I first used them on a plane trip to Miami. My headphones drowned out the engine of the plane and held a long battery life on the trip. They only required re-charge once in four day span. The sound quality is fantastic.

When I returned home from vacation I began using my Beats while training in the gym. These are by far the most versatile head phones I have owned. Whether I was running a 5K, working abs on an incline or doing overhead lat raises on a flat bench, my Beats stayed put.

I was able to keep my headphone ear pads clean and scent-free from all the gym action with clorox wipes. The white color never dinged with upkeep.

Unfortunately, I lost my head phones to a benching accident a month ago. Not many devices will withstand a 45 pound plate.

I will repurchase these headphones in the future.

These headphones are amazing. They connected to my device easily, the sound is incredible. I tried a few pairs of wireless headphones in a shop and kept getting feedback. These have no feedback and they are easy to use. The controls on the side are self-explanatory and again really easy to use (a toddler could use them) they charged so so so quick and lasted for days and days. Believe me if your into your music like me then these are PERFECT !!!!
