    SO DISAPPOINTED

After a couple years of wanting a good pair of headphones but not wanting to spend almost $200 on them, I finally caved and bought some Powerbeats3. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated that I have had to send these back three times after only having them for 6 months. They have spent more time in the mail or being replaced than actually being used at the gym. I am on my third pair and they all completely power off in the middle of using them. You would think Apple would see all of these issues and fix the problem. I will not purchase another pair of Beats. Don't waste your money or time on them!

    Ehh...

No doubt the sound is great, but if you work outside in the heat these aren't for you. The rubber coating will melt off. Yes.. melt. Mine did today and I'm not happy...

These earphones were a huge disappointment!

I expected so much more from the Powerbeats. They're overrated and they're way too expensive for what they actually should be. I'm very disappointed in my purchase. I highly recommend you to not buy these Powerbeats. They're absolute garbage and I'm never buying beats products ever again!!

    Best workout headphones period!

I have had several pairs from Bose to lg active. The beats are the best I have owned. I recommend them to everyone.

    Amazing!!!! 😍

I got a white pair for Mother's Day and I'm in love with them!! I've found it almost impossible to find ear buds that STAY in my ears, even the ones with loops at the top. These fit PERFECTLY right out of the box! I can't believe it! They are super secure and comfortable. The sound is amazing (music and phone calls). The setup was as simple as turning them on and pressing 'connect' on my iPhone. I love the fast charging feature. Definitely worth the money.

Third time sending back, just plain gave up

I wanted to love these beats, but they are unreliable. I only use them in the gym, and they keep breaking. The controls stop working, first the volume, then the pause and track up down button, then they stop charging. Customer service did replace them twice, but this time I just gave up, I would think for $200 these beats would be pretty much bullet proof. Whats even more sad is the apple name behind them! I think this further tarnishes the brand as I have apple everything, just would never buy these power beats again. They are currently in my desk drawer collecting dust.

    Not sweat resistant

I really wanted to like these headphones. They sound great, fit great, look cool, and have an amazing battery life. But I got them for working out and they didn't work out. I went through 3 pairs in 3 months each with the same failure mode. While working out (running/lifting) they would shut off and wouldn't turn back on for a few hours. After they dried out they would turn on and work again until the first drop of sweat hit the remote (10-20 minutes into the workout) leaving me music-less for yet another gym session. Apple sent me a warranty replacement each time they failed but this meant my gym headphones spent more time broken or in the mail than they did in my ears. Bose SoundSport wireless encountered a similar issue with their headphones but they chose to do something about it recalling their headphones and replacing them with an improved design that fixed their issue. Everyone I spoke with at Apple acted like this was the first they had heard of this issue even though there are multiple 1 star reviews on this site from customers that encountered the exact same issue I was facing. I will be exclusively purchasing Bose headphones from here on out.

    Nothing but problems

Started with powerbeats 2 last july. Bought at apple store. I have since sent in 5 pairs to apple a received 5 replacement sets, headphones last a month tops. A month ago apple sent me the 3's and I just sent them back as they have now stopped working. These headphones are a lot of money and they are a pain to get in touch with someone to send back. For $200 I would buy something else. My warranty is almost up so I will be shopping elsewhere. I use them to workout 5 times a week for 2-3 hrs, thats it. I feel like they are getting minimal use. Poor design and poor quality control in my opinion. Working on my 7th set in less than a year.

    Quality Problem with this product

I loved my old Powerbeats 2 before Apple bought the company. They would last a couple years under constant use. I have now had 3 pair of the Powerbeats 3 fail on me, each lasting less than one month. I hope Apple's team fixes the product, so that it lives up to the reputation of the rest of their products. Very disappointing!!

    First time getting sport headphones

I would always use the regular iPhone headphones and the bass is much better. As far as the quality of sound (low notes or lyrics) they are very clear. But what does such a good sound do when it sucks on bass.. Overprice for the lack of bass (even boosting the sound settings). And no app like Bose? I have to change the sound setting of the sound source for all my devices instead of having an app for the headphones to increase the bass only on the headphones and not on the main music source app

    First time use

Read a ton of reviews before purchasing these some people said they love them and some hate them so I bit the bullet and got a pair found them for $150 no way I was paying $200 for them. I am loving them so far the music is plenty loud and very clear the bass hits really well, connection to phone is fast. Now the little case they give you is junk apple defiantly needs to change that. I have read that when you sweat is pretty much fry's them so I will see if that is true or not within the next few days but so far I am pleased.

    Broke twice within a year

Broke within 6 months then rebroke again within 7 months. They replaced them with a refurbished pair with a cheap replacement power button that feels like it could break again shortly.

    Why do they break??

I love running with the wireless beats BUT I can't stand the design. I broke my 3rd pair today. It's always in the same place, the left earbud. Improve the design, I can take the time to charge them!!!

love the sound and battery life, but Dies after 2 months

I bought these earphones because I love the battery life, the hook around the ear style of earphones and the sound quality. But I have to use earbuds from other earphones because the original ones let in too much outside noise which I hate. I want to get lost in the music or podcasts. The biggest disappointment is that the bluetooth keeps disconnecting and after 2 months the earphones stop working, and I have toget new ones off my warranty. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. I'm on my THIRD pair and the bluetooth has already started disconnecting. For such a high price, R3999, in South Africa, I'm not impressed and this is making me not trust the Beats brand. I think the need to do a recall on these and find out what the problem is. At this point I must get a life time warranty where every two months I replace my earphones

Third generation of PowerBeats and the best yet

Loving the new headphones! after a week of wearing them everywhere. Still discovering functionality and how to get the most out of them as they are almost an appendage at this point. After owning two other pairs of wired Power Beats, there were pros and cons to both. Customer service and repair was my biggest disappointment. Fingers crossed the apple acquisition has filled this gap and it will become an easier and more mainstream to have maintenance done on $200 headphones that should last longer than 12-18 months before being declared "junk" because of a faulty wire, bent jack, or now a an even bigger concern, degraded battery. Keep listening, and turn it up!

Sound quality and clicker inferior to Powerbeats 2

I am a big Apple fan. I own a Mac, iPad, iPhone and am in love with these products. I figured I would try the new Powerbeats3 since these were officially manufactured on Apple's watch instead of Beats. Two issues:The sound quality is not as good. There is less bass and less roundness to the sound. I showed it to an Apple tech. We compared the PB3 vs. PB2 and he agreed. Furthermore, the clicker is less water resistant. They replaced the rubber skin with an all plastic shell that has significant gaps for water or sweat to enter and short the device. If you only want to talk on the phone the new chip makes it easier to connect to your phone and the 12 hour battery life is a plus. However, I use my Powerbeats in the yard, running, talking to clients, listening to music, all the time. Hold onto your PB2 for as long as you can or pick up the PB2 on clearance. I hope Apple reads this review and fixes the problems.

    Great for a month

I tried my powerbeats3 today and they didn't work. I tried to turn them on and they only flash red. I thought they needed charging, but that didn't change the problem.Won't charge, won't pair.

Not good for working out as advertised

Volume goes up/down on its own, music stop/starts, simply worthless to function as they are advertised... will try to get my money back
