    Great Headphones-Minus 1 Simple Feature

    • Written by Holly R from Ottawa

I just purchased these headphones yesterday, and generally speaking they are the best headphones I have ever purchased and in my opinion well worth the money. The fit of the headphones is wonderful and it feels like I have barely have anything on my head. The colour I chose is gorgeous, it is such a pretty, soft pink. The sound is amazing, in all of my past headphones, the sound quality has never compared, and I was quite literally blown away when I tried them for the first time last night. I also appreciate how easy all the functions are to use.

What I feel like they lack is something that in my mind should be simple, stupid and quite obvious. I find it absolutely ridiculous that even when you have them wired into your laptop with the cord that you still have to have the battery turned on to have any sound function at all. Because of this, while you are wired, you are still draining battery in the background, and then your headphones will eventually just die while you are watching a movie or a tv show. While maybe it seems basic and old school, I believe that all headphones, should be able to be powered by their cord without having to waste precious battery life. I am very disappointed in how quickly my headphones died while watching a tv show, and I think that Beats should try bringing back a basic but very useful function of headphones!

Decent sound and lightweight, but bad material selection.

This is my third set of Beats Studio Wireless headphones. Only really use for traveling and a couple trips to the gym each month.

The Studio 3 has adjusted sound and a little less bass than the v1 and v2. These have the same issue with the ear pads falling apart at about a year of infrequent use that has existed since the first Studio Wireless model before Apple was in the mix. Apple replaced one set of ear pads under warranty, but told me they would never do it again. Even if it was less than a year of use. Seems that it is considered a wear item. I had zero issues with any other part of the headphones.

If you do not mind buying a new pair or paying for repair every year, these are great. Perfect if you have all things Apple and they sound much better than most people seem to give them credit for. As soon as they add bluetooth the the Beats Pro, I would buy those in a heartbeat. The price is not an issue and I could have easily spent more. I liked these the best for travel packaging and weight. Back when I got my first pair the Studio Wireless was the only thing I found that had Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack for use in airplanes. This still seems to be the case. The thin headband is amazing for travel.

    disappointing, really discomfortable on ear

    • Written by Md Abdullah Al M from Scarborough

It feels really heavy on head and feel pressured on the ear. Very discomfortable waring it over the ear. Sound quality is not good at all. Quality of the sound is same or lower compare to any of the $60 amazon product. If I am wearing this headset and listen to a music or something in shared space like a train, the fellow individuals can almost hear everything, what is the point of wearing such a big headset then?

Phone Quality Poor, Noise Cancelling so so, Heavy on the head and neck

    • Written by Seung Hoo M from Singapore

I can’t help but thinking that the people who think the sound quality of BEATS is good might not have enough experience with other headsets. For me, this purchase was a complete failure.

Sound Quality NOT so great considering its price, Phone Quality is Bad. Bluetooth Connectibility also NOT Solid, Battery does NOT last as long as it promises. One of the most annoying thing about the design is that the headset bites my hair every time I use it. If you have a short hair, your hair will NOT stuck I guess. But for me, EVERY Single time it bites my hair and as I take the headset off, my air gets pulled out. So annoying. This was not only happening to me but also other colleagues of mine who bought the same one have exactly same issue. As far as weight goes, the Headset is NOT light. After a couple of hours you DO feel the weight at the top of your head. You feel the weight and the pressure on top of your head and also your neck if you wear it after a couple of hours. NOT a comfortable headset. So unfortunately after using it about 5 times? It is now just sitting at home. I had used couple of other brands before and just before this BEATS, I was using JVC. JVC quality was much better than this. Phone quality was clear and bluetooth connection was rock solid. I felt very comfortable using it any time and anywhere, NO issue with Sweat during workout, Phone quality was completely stable. And I paid 100 US for it. But with BEATS, which is much more expensive about 3 times more, the bluetooth losees its connection when JVC’s doesn’t. And every time the person who is on the other side of the phone line complains that they can’t hear me well or the background sound is too loud. The wind and background noise get all picked up and the person on the other side of the line could NOT hear me well.

So In the end the headset become just a display in my phome. Honestly I am not going to buy another BEATS Product unless drastic improvement takes place and the product quality gets better overall. As far as sound quality goes, my best experience is Bose. They have an aswesome After service. I plan to buy QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II and get rid of BEATS.

    Terrible, cheap, garbage

    • Written by Nick T from Jeffersonton

Made very cheaply. Here is why:
    They don't include a charger.
The cable that is included doesn't fit Apple chargers.
There is a standard headphones cable, but not one that works with iihone. Apparently Apple includes that adapter in the phone box.
    Very flimsy.
Speakers are very tiny and don't fit over the adult ear. They are like baby headphones.
They look funny on the head.
They don't stay extended on the setting, because the plastic is so flimsy and cheap.
They flop around and slide off your head, because the plastic is so flimsy.

Keep these things in mind when you decide to pay $300 plus for a pair of headphones.

Sounds amazing, crisp and clear with bass

    • Written by David G from French

A more refined, professional and balanced sound than ever. You can still feel your ears and sides of your head vibrate under the low tones these over-ear headphones are able to crank out at higher volumes. Got them on sale and I am really happy I was able to buy other headphones with even more bass that were on even more of a sale with basically the difference they refunded me from the Beats Studio 3. Win win win. I also love how these headphones now come with the capability to turn of Adaptive Noice Cancelling (ANC). I found the volume got a little louder which is awesome and makes sense since more energy can go from ANC to the sound itself. The battery life also amazingly increases to almost double from 22 hours of playback to 40 hours! Enjoy your new set of Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones. I have been using them for 2 days and the energy only went down from 5/5 white lights to 4/5 white lights under a lot of hours of music playback. Amazing.

    Outstanding

    • Written by Joe G from Littleton

Best headphones I've ever used!! I tried the beats pro, and I have to admit they are excellent, but I like wireless headphones better. So, I settled on these. My favorite part besides the sound quality is how they completely cover and surround your ears.

    Great sound, terrible build quailty

    • Written by Harrison A from Ottawa

I have had these headphones for a while now, replaced once and now needing to be replaced again. If you are a traveler or just on the go with these BE CARFUL. I literally unfolded them last week and one side completely snapped off. The Bose equivalent of these have amazing sound quality as well but are built to be thrown around. They can keep up with your lifestyle or in my case, unfolding the headphones. :/

Best headphones I have ever had

    • Written by Benoit L from Gatineau

I bought these headphones on sale.
Since Day 1, I have been satisfied with the quality of the audio that they produce.
They are also so comfortable that I sometimes forget that I am wearing them!
They do a great job in the city bus too, can’t hear the engine when taking a ride!

    • Written by Vincent R from Pinole

It is so crazy to me that these headphones don't come with a wall plug to charge them! this is literally my second pair of beats studio, my first pair (although older) came with a wall plug!!! Apple is really cheeping out when it comes to these headphones.

    AAFES Exchange Black Friday sale.

    • Written by Anthony J from Fairview heights

I have owned the Bose Sound Link around ear, and Bose QC35 until AAFES black Friday sale 2017. I brought the Apple Beats Studio3 for $129.00. The sound is great but needs more accuracy. The Pure ANC is great but no in the Bose or Sony standards. CNET and Consumer Reports rate these headphones very high. Apple great job on the improvements. I can't wait until the improved Studio4 comes out next year.

    Excellent With Apple Hardware

    • Written by Gordon D from Denver

I picked up the Studio3 yesterday and, so far, I'm thrilled with them. I'm not an audiophile so there's absolutely room in other reviews to argue the relative sound reproduction of these headphones versus competing devices in this price range.

I think what sets the Studio3 headphones apart, though, is the W1 chip. I was already in love with my AirPods as they bounce well to any modern Apple device. This device provides that same functionality but with longer battery life, better sound, and noise cancellation. I watched a few movies on my Apple TV and listened to some music and podcasts. The movies sounded excellent and I could definitely pick up details in music on these headphones that may have too subtle to notice with my AirPods. What was even better was my phone could easily bounce between the two of them (Airpods and Studio3s), with the device almost instantly picking up where the other left off.

Yeah, some might find it frustrating that these charge over micro-USB instead of Lightning, yeah, maybe they don't sound better than this premium headset or that one, and they are absolutely expensive. But the Studio3 seems like THE best set of headphones you can buy today that work as a first-class citizen within the Apple ecosystem.

Also, as others have said, the blue color is really nice looking!

    Incredible sound and clarity

    • Written by JOSEPH R from Denver

I’ll make this short and sweet. Apple put more effort into these headphones and time as well. The sound and quality are the telling differences. Sound is better than ever. The pure ANC really pops and makes the music even more better. Try em out. You won’t be disappointed. This blue color is beautiful too.

    Upgrade compared to Solo

    • Written by SHIU W from Garden Grove

Pre-ordered these and it was definitely worth the wait. I mainly use these on my daily train commute and it works like a charm. With the new chip, pairing it to any iOS device is simple and my headphones follows wherever I am sign on (Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, etc). The noise cancellation feature is also a big plus, makes listening to music a bit more enjoyable when there are lots of ambient noise around. Coming from the Solo2, these are way more comfortable, can easily use all day with a battery to match as well. Well worth the $ IMHO.
