    R.I.P. Dre

    • Written by Joey E from League City

I used these headphones about 3-5 times a week. The quality is nice, at first. After a couple months worth of sweating all over them, they started to fall apart completely. At first, the battery died out. I read some forums and reset it. It worked for another month then stopped functioing again. The ear piece that goes over your ear randomly decided to break off so I had to glue it back in place. They have mastered purchasing a battery that is projected to last 366 days. Looks like Apple forgot about Dre

    DO NOT BUY...

    • Written by modupeola I from hanover

Stopped working after 6 months of gentle use (I did not use them for workouts), only at work for listening to music. One ear handle broke off as I was putting it on a few months in and the earphones kept disconnecting. After multiple resets, firmware updates, contact with Apple support, it was clear this was just a waste of my money

Do not buy, find another brand

DO NOT PURCHASE FOR WORKING OUT

    • Written by Colton H from Normandy Park

Admittedly this product does have good sound quality and it cancels out the surrounding noise decently well.

This product falls shorts in durability and longevity, especially if you workout with them. I have had two separate pairs in the course of less than 3 months and both have broken.

There are far better products out there for far less than these which would be a much more advisable investment.

Fantastic sounding headphones but broke after 6 months of use. Software issue that stopped the headphones from charging. Terrible for the price point! Would avoid purchasing.

Stop charging $100 to fix poor manufacturing quality

    • Written by Rachel K from Fair port

I got a pair for Christmas and within a couple months of fairly gentile use and storage in the carrying case, I was adjusting the earpiece on my ear and it snapped off after it had been loose for about a month prior. I called Apple tech support and explained what happened and asked if I could take them to an Apple store to get fixed under warranty. I was told by the Apple store representative as well as a tech support representative the following day that it was the user’s fault and not the company and that it would cost me $100 to repair them which is what I paid for them to begin with. The other part I’m confused about is I snapped the headband of my beats solos in half last year and they were fixed and sent back at no cost but they couldn’t fix a common recurring problem among the headphones without charging a large amount of money. I’m upset because everything else was great and I loved them but I can’t afford to replace them.

Broke within the “warranty” period and were not fixed

    • Written by Erik G from Gig Harbor

I paid for these headphones, expecting to get a quality product, backed by a quality company but I was mistaken on both ends. The rubber cord started to come apart and rip about 6 months after I bought them. I used them like a normal runner and gym goer and not as a jump rope, yet they still tried to charge me $110 dollars to “fix” them. At that price I may as well purchase a brand new pair from another company. They also sent them back to me without the rubber earpieces after I declined the horrendous $110 offer. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

    THESE ARE NOT WATER RESISTANT

    • Written by Laura I from ottawa

These headphones worked great initially then after about three months of using them five days a week in the gym they started t disconnect from my phone, uncontrollable volume increase and decreases randomly throughout the workout, and not charging anymore. I had to charge them before every workout as even though I turned them off they were not keeping there charge. Amazing design of the over the ear feature which keeps them from falling off of your head while working out but the fact that I spent over 250$ on something that doesn't last at least five years is way to pricy for me. Will not be purchasing these again.

Terrible product!! Do not buy. Quality control at Beats is a joke. These are marketed as sweat and water resistant, the earphones are neither sweat nor water resistant. Don't make promises you can't keep!

Headphones didn’t last a good six months before one of the ear piece things almost broke off. Tried to get it repaired but they want to charge me for a repair even though I brought the protection plan. “I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER APPLE PRODUCT” other then the iPhone ever again.

    WASTE OF MONEY!

    • Written by Ryan T from New York

I had two Wireless Beats. One was the second generation, another Sports edition one. Both failed to reach two years of usages. The first one lasted for a little over warranty period, so I could not avail it anymore. Second one lasted first 6 months. Changed it twice the last 12 months. Third time, I passed my warranty period again. Both could not be TURNED ON after few MONTHS of use! It's amazing how these products can be very expensive, and yet the quality are disappointing after a short period of time. I spent $400+ for these two products and will never buy another Beats for my work out. I only used these two during my workouts, particularly in running (and I sweat a lot). These products are not really sweat resistant AT ALL!

Super Low Quality for the Price you Pay

    • Written by Katrinah S from Las Pinas City

This is the worst product and never buying again. We had beats2 which fell apart and was replaced as it was within the warranty. Never learned our lesson and got beats3 wireless for my husband again. After a year it wasn't charging, earpiece and volume control fell apart. So please go buy something else and DO NOT EVER MAKE A MISTAKE of wasting your money for such a low quality product. I can't express my disappointment enough for paying $200 for something so cheaply made.

    Not worth the price--very disappointed

    • Written by Victoria V from Providence

I've had three, yes THREE pairs of these headphones. The first pair I had for about 18 months when they randomly stopped charging. I did use them a lot so I thought it was possibly from use but I sent them in to be serviced. They were sent back to me a week later saying they "could not recreate the problem" but the headphones still would not charge when I plugged them in. My most recent pair I have only had for 4 months. They have been working seamlessly but I went to turn them on two days ago and they would not turn on. When plugged into the charger the LED light indicates that the headphones are fully charged, yet when I go to turn them on nothing happens. DEFINITELY will not be purchasing these again.

I had the PowerBeats 2. I had 5 pairs. Then I got given PowerBeats 3. These crapped out too. This is a rubbish product and Apple should offer a refund for the people they've scammed. I'll never buy accessories by Beats or Apple again. I suggest you do the same.

    not worth a single penny

    • Written by Zeljka P from Lawrenceville

The headphones are fine if you're just looking to listen to music on the go or whatever (Im not a connoisseur of sound quality) but if you try to use this workout headphones TO ACTUALLY WORKOUT then you will literally murder the headphones. While all their advertisements are geared towards using the headphones to workout and they say they are sweat resistant...they actually aren't. and you'll end up with headphones that won't work what so ever or ones that turn off 10 minutes into your workout and don't turn back on. So don't waste your money or time with these.

Not sweat proof, don’t buy for workouts

    • Written by Erich B from Snohomish

I bought thinking I could get a quality product for workout and was wrong. They are not sweat proof. They stopped working and won’t charge now. I’ve tried multiple things to get them to work and nothing. Sound quality was good while they worked so if you buy them, don’t use them for work outs.

    Don't Buy Them

    • Written by Sean B from Overland Park

I didn't listen to the reviews and I regret it now. These headphones lasted all of 4 months. I have a tough time with earbuds and because the ear hooks are slightly bent, I can't keep these earbuds in while walking.

The repair is $70 third party and $79 through Apple -- either way I'm hosed on a $99 purchase.

    Buyer beware.

Great until you have to replace them when the warranty expires

    • Written by Nickolaus K from Woodinville

I enjoyed these headphones for a year with some intermittent problems which I thought were part of the system protecting itself from sweat until now. Now I can't walk to my classes or finish my workouts without them turning off for no reason. Don't buy these unless you want to replace them every year.

3 months in, stopped working - Apple tried to charge me $129 for repair

    • Written by Stacey C from Toronto

I bought my laptop and these headphones came with them with a slight bend in the right earpiece - I guess they use refurbished models to cut cost. I didn't think much of it and then 3 months in, the right ear piece starts having really poor sound quality and so I send it in to repair and they said that because there's a physical bend, the warranty is void and I'd have to pay $129 out of pocket to fix it. What even is the point of a warranty if you can't get a product, that came with a manufacturer's issue, repaired/replaced? Glad I didn't spend a cent on this garbage and I strongly advise AGAINST purchasing any of these wireless earphones. You could buy a lightning to headphone jack cable for $10 and go use a wired earphones instead of shelling out $300 for absolute garbage that will break in 3 months!
