Great until you have to replace them when the warranty expires

    • Written by Nickolaus K from Woodinville

I enjoyed these headphones for a year with some intermittent problems which I thought were part of the system protecting itself from sweat until now. Now I can't walk to my classes or finish my workouts without them turning off for no reason. Don't buy these unless you want to replace them every year.

3 months in, stopped working - Apple tried to charge me $129 for repair

    • Written by Stacey C from Toronto

I bought my laptop and these headphones came with them with a slight bend in the right earpiece - I guess they use refurbished models to cut cost. I didn't think much of it and then 3 months in, the right ear piece starts having really poor sound quality and so I send it in to repair and they said that because there's a physical bend, the warranty is void and I'd have to pay $129 out of pocket to fix it. What even is the point of a warranty if you can't get a product, that came with a manufacturer's issue, repaired/replaced? Glad I didn't spend a cent on this garbage and I strongly advise AGAINST purchasing any of these wireless earphones. You could buy a lightning to headphone jack cable for $10 and go use a wired earphones instead of shelling out $300 for absolute garbage that will break in 3 months!

    worst headphones

This is the 3rd pair of power beats 3 I've had to exchange in the last year, its very frustrating to only have a product last a year and its an inconvenience to apple after the warranty runs out

    Second pair already dead

    • Written by Steve B from Rydal

These things are incredibly poorly made. I bought a pair for myself and a pair for a friend. I am on my second pair after the first one just suddenly stopped working. No misuse, kept in the package they came in, etc. Just stopped charging. My friend just had her second pair die and am about to call Apple but I am sure it's going to be "sorry - warranty is over". As you can see from the other posts on this site they are just not well made. Do not buy these!! It's a shame - I really liked them while they worked!

    zero stars

    • Written by Lisa H from St. Louis park

I received my Powerbeats as a gift. They would not hold a charge, so I exchanged them for a "new" (read: likely refurbished) pair and have the same issue with the second pair. Wildly disappointing. The price is not at all proportionate to he quality of the product.

    High price, insanely bad durability

    • Written by Nurul Nadia A from Singapore

I'm very disappointed in this earphones. For paying such a high price for it, I was expecting it to be more durable and to be able to handle sweat for a lot better. It could only last me a year and that was all. The power button got messed up and I have to keep restarting earphones every time I want to hear my music. I didn't even dropped the earphones once and it is in such bad condition. Although the sound & bass is great but I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it.

    Not for exercising

    • Written by Jeffrey S from EAGLEVILLE

These do not handle sweat at all, if you are only going to wear them for casual use then they are fine but they can not get wet. I had my first pair for ~ 5 months before they stopped working, I was given a replacement pair since they were under warranty however when my replacement pair stopped working 4 months later I was told they only came with a 90 day warranty and are not covered.

Until they fix these to be more water resistant or water proof, I would steer clear.

    Unreliable

    • Written by Simon B from Hong Kong

I have purchased three Powerbeats Wireless Earphones.

They were great while the lasted – unfortunately that wasn't long. The first two pairs lasted around a year each (I think) and the third pair only a couple of months.

    Not a good investment.

    Save your money

    • Written by Jonathon T from Sydney

Bought a pair and one of the earphone drums broke within 6 months. Had them replaced under warranty but then I had an earpiece snap off after a year and Apple quoted me $250 to have them replaced. The audio is good, only if the buds fit your ears snug, but the construction quality is extremely poor. Save your money.

    Very poor product

    • Written by Joel L from Winnipeg

Purchased the Powerbeats and literally within the first week the ear piece broke. I was careful with where I kept them. For the price paid it is definitely not worth it. I would strongly advise against buying any Beats products (the ear cushions on the over ear headphones are not replaceable either- does not take long for skin oils to break down the cushion). Suggest looking elsewhere for ear phones.

    Disappointing on Almost Every Level

    • Written by Bill S from Valencia

The only positive thing I can say about these is that the Bluetooth works beautifully with my iPhone and iPad. It is frustrating, though, that they use the same sound for power up, power down, Bluetooth pairing, and Bluetooth disconnect.

The sound quality is mediocre. I think there are a lot of in ears that sound better for less. The design also doesn’t facilitate a good seal, which affects bass response and isolation. I’ve tried many different tips but all fall short. I’m sure that varies from person to person based on the shape and size of their ears.

The primary negative, though, is the reliability. I’ve had to send them in for repair four times. Four. Each time they come back, they work for a while, then stop again. I can’t see why Apple won’t replace them. The people at the Apple Store told me that a lot of people bring them in for multiple repairs, at least until the warranty runs out. After that, it’s cheaper (and easier) to buy another pair - or something better.

    poor music quality

    • Written by Jenna C from Northport

Poor quality. Don't waste your money on these. The speaker quality is awful and sounds like an old radio. Lower end headphones sound much better than these... I compared! I also personally don't like the design. They are awkward and don't fit well in my ears. I feel they aren't very functional. They are certainly not worth the price!

I was satisfied with the quality of the product until the battery started to drain faster. Then out of no where the beats start to drain the battery even when they are turned off. Just save yourself the strain and money and buy samsung headphones.

    • Written by Robert H from mobile

I’m going on what will be my 4th pair of Powerbeats 3. They are NOT sweat proof. Each pair that I have had has lasted 2 months tops. Each time they fail I get an error code and they won’t turn on or charge. After a few days of drying they will charge and turn on but will only last maybe 15 min then they won’t operate. These headphones sound great and will do wonderful for anyone not sweating. Expected more from 200$ Headphones.

    Not worth your money

    • Written by Winnie M

I got them for Christmas 2017, In January my son broke both hooks, which I didn't mind coz they were still working perfectly. By April I started having connection issue, it will disconnect and when I try to reconnect the light will flash 3 times and goes off. I sent it for repairs they told me it had accidental damage and it was out of warrant because of the broken hooks. I need to $100 for it to be repaired.
