    Cracks at the bottom

    • Written by John R from San Antonio

Used the case continuously for 7 months. Love the fact that it has the cut out at the bottom so that it makes using swipe gestures much easier. However cracks started to appear on both sides of the cut outs along the bottom. I have never dropped the phone in the case. Not what I would have expected for a $39 case from Apple. Curious if the warranty applies.

I dont understand the criticism people have for this case. Maybe they are working for other company?? Cause my experience with this case is amazing. First of all, the case fits perfectly to my Xr. I’ve heard people complaining how tight the case is, but honestly its not. Its actually better cause dusts and hairs get inside less than other third party’s cases. Secondly, because case fits tight, people have complained side buttons is hard to press. Let me tell you coming from third party cases, I do not know how many times I’ve accidentally pressed side buttons. It is sooo annoying. Lastly the most annoying thing about clear case is probably that it turns yellow over time. Well.. I have used my case for more than two months now and it did not turn yellow!!! I know two months is not that long, but considering how fast my other cases have turned yellow this case is golden.

iPhone XR Clear Case - now cracking

    • Written by Kenneth G from Calgary

The clear case looked great - at first. Now 8 months later it's sporting two large 'stress' type cracks emanating from the holes for the back camera and sound/off switch access. Early on I removed the phone and put it back in the case three times, but there were no apparent cracks then.

I have never seen this in an iPhone case of any kind before.

I am guessing the material used - some kind of plastic - is defective, and think it should be replaced by the manufacturer.

    Terrible case....don't buy it

    • Written by Deke F from Newport Beach

Cracked, broken, scratched & color changed in first month of having - not worth $5 let alone $40. Don't buy it, you'll be sorry you did. I'll be looking for a refund from Apple, such a hassle to go into the store for this stuff. Zero stars if they'd let me.

    Protects the phone

    • Written by Joseph R from sun valley

Overall not a bad case while it does collect dirt inside it protects the phone I've had it for 3 weeks now and have dropped the phone maybe twice already and the phone is still in perfect condition even dropped it from about 4 feet onto a hardwood floor and it bounced and the phone is still in perfect condition the case is a bit scuffed now but it did its job protecting a 800 dollar phone

    Leaves so many scratches

    • Written by Sam F from Braintree

I have had the iPhone XR clear case for about a month now or three weeks and I’ve already noticed the dust scratched that it collects and then when you do the tricks to get rid of them it makes more and it looks bad on the iPhone although it’s a great case the scratches that can be seen really ruin it

Everything is okay with this case but...

    • Written by Marieta L from Indianapolis

I don’t really understand the hate for this case. I think it’s a really good case. However, there is two issues about this case that I don’t like about. It’s too expensive. It’s just a regular clear case there’s nothing more to it. Then the case is SO hard to take off. I still can’t take the case off. Other than that it’s just a regular clear case. It is not worth the $39 maybe a $10 case.

    Nice And Clear But Slippery

    • Written by Kevin A from Torbay

This is the only case I've used so far with my Product Red XR. I does show it off nicely BUT it is very slippery. Almost as slippery as not having a case on at all. Laying it down in the car has it slide all over the place. Having it in a shallow pocket will increase your chances of it sliding out. If only it was as grippy as their other cases. Again, it is slippery.

    Cracked after two months

    • Written by Miguel L from Cali

As a leather case user, used on both 5s and 7, this case doesn´t compare... after removing it to swap sims, the case got a huge crack on the left corner on the bottom. Extremely disapointed for such a price Apple charges!!

    Cheap plastic case

    • Written by Sidney H from St Lucia

Cheap plastic case that certainly doesnt worth $300 HKD. Dusts easily enter through the gap between the phone and the case, prone to fingerprints and marks, doesnt protect the bottom of the phone, case itself is slippery and makes an ugly mark that looks like a wet spot. There are plenty of cheaper and better alternatives on the market, simply the worst case apple has ever produced. Dont get ripped off by the cheap piece of plastic.

    Worst Apple case EVER

    • Written by Mark K from MODBURY

Just mind-boggling how this made it to market. Way too tight for the phone and exceptionally difficult to remove without brute force. Just tried to take mine off to clean the phone and the case broke (cracked down the middle).

A disgrace, buy a third party case.

    Worst case I’ve ever had.

    • Written by Cameron B from Scottsdale

This case is the opposite of everything it’s advertised as. The case is absolutely not scratch resistant it got a large scratch on the second week of usage on the inside, why on the inside you may ask, well... air bubbles keep getting trapped in the inside for some reason, maybe poor quality material, I don’t know. As well as this I dropped it on accident, and I do not exaggerate, 1.5 feet feet from the ground and the back cracked, the back is made of plastic which is harder to crack then the glass on the front, so I can’t snag one what it will do to the front considering it’s not fully covered like the back. Don’t buy, terrible use of money and way overpriced.

    Pretty but not user friendly

    • Written by Julia M from Halifax

I like this case when it's on my phone. It feels nice in your hand and fits the phone really well. However. Being clear, it collects dust easily, and I tried taking it off to clean it out. It probably took me close to 20 minutes and two very sore thumbs to get the case off and back on again. It was really frustrating when all I needed to do was wipe out a few specs of dust. I also felt during the whole process like I was either going to snap the case or damage the phone due to how much pressure it took to get the case on and off. Otherwise good case. Just hope I don't have take it off very much...

The case had a bubble immediately and even after switching cases 3 times every time there was a new bubble. It looks like oil and it spreads after you touch it. So weird. Would not recommend.

Great quality materials but contact bubbles are AWFUL!

    • Written by Danielle M from Bible

The case itself is made exceptionally well- something I keep in mind when purchasing Apple branded cases. However the contact bubbles from the case touching the back of the phone makes this pricey ($55!) case seem much cheaper. Disappointed.

How to get rid of any 'bubble'

    • Written by P.P. I from Laren

Simply apply a tiny bit of clear oil on the inside of the case. I used sunflower oil. Then wipe it all over the inside, so as to create an even film. Remove any excess of oil. When properly and evenly done, the film of oil will not show once you apply the case to your iPhone. The film of oil prevents any adhesion (bubble) of the case with the back of the iPhone. Worked fine for me.

Welp, it survived the "drop test"

    • Written by Robert H from Yorktown

The case itself is clear and just grippy enough to stay in your hand but not difficult to put in your pocket. What really matters with cases is protection and this case provides it. As I was getting out of my car, fiddling with my backpack, I dropped my phone for about 3-4 feet onto concrete where it impacted on the bottom corner and landed on its face. The case is dinged a little on the corner now, but that's about it. The phone itself is perfectly fine! No breaks on the screen, no dent on the corner, and even the rear glass is intact. So that's worth enough for five stars from me. This case might not protect from a 20 foot drop, but it seems to be enough for what is probably a more common distance of a few feet.

I really don’t fully understand all the hate for this case. Yes, the price is a bit steep for a simple clear case. But so far that hasn’t bothered me as I think this case is incredible for the XR. The fit is perfect (as all of Apple cases are), it’s a really good material I don’t find it slippery either. I don’t have any problems with contact bubbles either. If the case holds up and doesn’t yellow or become covered in micro abrasions and scratches, it will be well worth it.

    Scratches so easily

    • Written by Tim L from Conneaut

I have had the case for just one day and I originally wanted it since other cases I had simply just added a ton of bulk. Now that I have it I definitely like having a case that really shows its color and is a much better fit. The problem is that its just covered from scratches and I mean ones you can put a finger nail into. It doesn't really make sense as I have had apple cases in the past and all they did was color but that was something that happens to leather not seeing a scratch at all just with age they may had fallen apart but that makes sense for how long I had them. This is just poor quality I really believe considering I had nothing sharp at all touch it nor did I drop it.
