BeatsX are good but the Customer Service was GREAT!

    • Written by Dirk S from North Fort Myers

I got the BeatsX earphones for Xmas and use them everyday at work. Within 6 months of purchase they stopped turning on while I was working. I have had 3 back/neck surgeries so hands free is very important to me. I cant hold the phone with my shoulder and write without a lot of pain. So, I called Apple and spoke to a very friendly woman who took down my info and answered my questions. We opened a service order on Wednesday at 3:00pm. Thursday morning I received the return box and called fedex for a pickup that afternoon and sent them in. Later that evening about 26 hours from my first phone call to apple I received a text from fedex telling me that my new package was in route and today I received my new BeatsX. THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A WARRANTY!!!!! Made a phone call to someone on the other side of the country and within a day and a half I had a new pair of Beats at my office. That's impressive.

    Great earbuds

    • Written by Ryan R from Shoreview

Syncs as seamlessly as AirPods, but I can't wear AirPods because they are too big to fit in my ears. The swappable tips on BeatsX make them small enough to fit and snug enough to stay put. Sound isolation works almost as well as Bose QC 35 w/ ANC.

Only complaint is that the connecting wire (which is where the buttons and battery are) is a little heavy which can make them bounce around too much while running. 5 stars when they fix this, either by making the battery much smaller and lighter, or (better yet) by making these truly wireless.

The most neutral Beats out there

    • Written by Vidit A

Great Beats audio, without too much of the oversaturated bass. Have almost completely stopped using my Beats Pro's since I got this. Cut one star because of poor call quality. Works and pairs great with my Android phone (OnePlus 6), my iPad and my Mac.

Good headphones and last a few workouts. Disappointed they didn’t come with a carrying case though.

I love my beats x but, the problem I keep encountering with my dark grey beats is that they don’t mold to my neck in the back so, they will either cut out the sound or distort so my third pair of dark gray beats are on the way and I hope this doesn’t happen again or I will have to another pair to get the color white because I had no problems with those. But, wait you don’t make the white ones anymore and so I will then buy off eBay.

    Very solid

I’m surprised to see the low ratings. Like the design of them how it sits nicely around your neck, sound is great and the five minute super charge is great.

The best and the worst headphones

    • Written by Michael H

I love these headphones. I hate these headphones. They are the best headphones I have had and they are also the worst. The sound quality is amazing, they look cool and the battery is brilliant. Bluetooth. It's a dead technology and full of bugs and flaws when connecting to devices like my laptop. It's beautifully in sync with my iPhone though. After accepting the bluetooth issue is something that I can't dodge the issues start. The left earphone was a little faulty dropping audio quality little by little day by day. Then the charging block was malfunctioning. Every time it was touched it would stop the left headphones audio. Really annoying but Apple are great with returns. I got a new pair after a little bit of faff and a store visit. A year after that repair, the same issue happens again and this time the happens stop charing, stop turning on and just won't work. I contact apple and out of warranty I have to fork out nearly full price for a repair. I feel annoyed as the headphones are the best when the work but they are not consisted. I really didn't want to pay anything for this repair as the product is faulty and should just be replaced. An annoyingly nice customer support assistant told me that there isn't anything we can do and I'll have to pay for a repair simple as. I'm frustrated as it's a product that is nearly perfect but isn't quite just yet. Should I pay £100 for a repair? I doubt it but I have even though I know the things are going to brake again. All could have been resolved by Apple just giving me a free pair to ease the blow of essentially having to buy a new pair for reasons that are technically above my comprehension.

    Good, but could be great

    • Written by Dale A

Pros: great sound | Comfortable in-ear option for outdoor pursuits where traditional earbuds/airbuds are unsuitable due to wind noise | Wireless made easy | Decent battery life given overall size | Convenient magnet linking a neckless when not in use || Cons: The power and main central button [answering calls, skipping songs] dexterity is very poor, and nearly impossible with thin gloves | Asymmetric, meaning they are designed for the control side to be on the left ear only, and not interchangeable | Difficult to store away when not in use | Battery life evaporates when talking on phone | Fit can often be cumbersome with material on the flex-form cable || Bottom line: A very good product with great functionality. It's difficult to gauge expectations of battery life for such new technology, but honest reporting of battery life is expected, not just best case. Wonderful to be free from traditional headphone cables with great sound and have in-ear sealing for runs and bike rides and for those of us who prefer a more snug ear piece than the traditional apple buds. These headphones work very well, but dexterity could be improved for the non-volume buttons, I question why these can't be designed to be symmetric, so users can choose which side controls reside, and improved battery life would be desired

    Def Recommend

    • Written by Kenny W

Bought these bc I was fed up with wireless headphones that sounded terrible and were even worse when talking on the phone (which is primarily what I use these for). The sound for answering calls is excellent, battery life is good. Only complaint, I have a difficult time answering calls using the "answer" button on these. It only picks up the call ~20% of the time. All other times I must use the phone to answer, then transfer the call to BeatsX.

Good, easy & quick charge however...

    • Written by Miguel S

My second pair... the first lasted 18months I had a voucher so only paid £10 of my own cash. 5minute charge = 2hours, light and cables do not irritate people with sensitive skin. Range is good & sound louder when connected to iPad. Pairing very easy quality super... true; not that loud however it’s perfect for me. In the office, train etc I recommend changing silicon tips to suit sounds bass etc These earphones do not drain phone battery as quick as others on the market and have good range. The down side: manufactures fault with battery after anything from 12 - 18 months other that... till my first stopped working the cables did not break, colour did not change still white through out nor did the quality drop till the end. i love them - Ain’t no String on me Ooooooh

    Sound Quality > Hardware

    • Written by Caleb P

I have had no problems with these pair of earbuds until just now. I used to use apple EarPods before this pair, so I definitely notice the quality in overall sound, which is great. However, I just pulled them out of my Beats pouch, and the rubber piece to my left earbud that holds my earbud in place of my ear just broke. For a 200-dollar pair of earbuds, I would have expected way better quality. In conclusion, great sound, bad hardware, OVERPRICED.

    Missing a Beat

    • Written by Zak R from Denver

I’ve been eagerly awaiting these headphones when they first announced them back in 2016, and managed to grab my first pair Feb 2017. I’ve own these headphones for nearly two years and they were my everyday headphones. I’ve worn these commuting, working out, working at my job and so on. These became my fashion accessory and I love these head phones. The convenience of these headphones was exactly what I needed for my lifestyle. Always around my neck, freeing up more space in my pockets. Can be hidden in plain sight with its low profile and the Fast Fuel technology was something I really loved, if I need a quick charge.

Now that I’ve had these headphones for nearly two years, it shows it’s wear and tear cosmetics of its active use. The cords have quickly lost its form, the seam between the silicone and plastic is exposing the wires. The button is worn to wear you can’t feel the button actually being pressed. Lastly, what has killed the the BeatsX in its final hour was the battery/connectivity issue. I did my best to reboot it and I took it to the Apple store and they gave me a quote of $75 for a new replacement. Which isn’t too bad, considering the warranty for my headphones is expired and they were willing to replace them. However, I’m looking for a headphone that is willing to last a lot longer than I hope.

So I will be moving on from this product and jumping into the AirPods. There’s no question that these headphones were exceptional and I would say the best bang for you buck. A little hiccup but still by far my favorite headphones to date.

    Worth the purchase

    • Written by Mzwanele S from Johannesburg

Waiting to see how these headphones will be once I’ve owned them for a year. Purchased them in September and they’re excellent. Sound quality: 7.8/10, Pairing with iPhone: 9/10, Pairing with MacBook 6.2/10 (not as effortless as once you’ve paired with your iPhone before, one has to open up Bluetooth tab to select headsets to use them or interchange between devices e.g. from IPhone to MacBook and Mircophone: 6/10 (callers on the receiving end can hear wind and sounds in whatever environment you’re in. They’re cozy to wear and blend in with whatever outfit you wear as well.

    Fantastic wireless earphones!

    • Written by Steve H

I've had these for more than a year and a half and they have been absolutely wonderful. The wire doesn't ever get tangled, the fit and comfort feels nice. The sound is average (which is to say it's good enough for me). A lot of people say Beats products tend to be really really bass-heavy, but I don't think that's true for BeatsX.

    Nice sound!!

I’ve been using my beatsx for a little over a week. I do like the sounds but I’m more a Bose person. I like really both. I earbuds in the Bose feels better than the Beats. I’m glad thou I got these beats. I like the shorter charging and better batterie life with Beatsx. If I had to decide between the Bose or the beatsx wireless I’d choose Beatsx again.
