    New iPhone charger glitch

    • Written by Meris W from CHARLOTTE

So the fast charging is actually working however I just bought a brand new iPhone 11 pro max two weeks ago and the charger isn’t constantly charging. It will stop charging is the cable is at a certain angle which begs the question if wires and cables are put in correctly because there’s no dirt in the charging port nor is their a kink in the cable so I’m wondering if the wiring and all of that is done correctly or if it’s the shape of the battery and the angle of the port that is an issue

Not a fast charger !! Very disappointed

    • Written by Hosam H from Doha

I bought this adapter with USB-C Lightning cable for my iPhone XR
Apple says that this charger will charge your phone to 50 % in 30 min
in my case my iPhone XR got only 20 % after 30 min !!! and full charge in more than 3 hours !! it worked same like the 5W adapter
I thought that the problem in my phone , so i bought another 18W charger from another brand , i tried it and it charged my iPhone to 48 % in 30 min , and it took around 1 hour 30 min to full charge
    Very disappointed !

    Don’t Buy

    • Written by Christian E from Crown Point

I just got my iPhone 11 Pro Max which came with the 18W charger and cord, I haven’t even had it for 2 weeks and already my iPhone vibrates randomly because the charger doesn’t constantly charge the phone rather it “flickers” whenever you turn it the slightest bit.

    Too wide for many situations

    • Written by Trevor H from Sequim

All my earlier Apple chargers were narrow and could coexist on a power strip with other cables. This one is oriented in the reverse direction, so it takes three slots on many power strips. That is real estate I couldn't spare. So I need to use an extension cable. I will have to replace this immediately with a different power supply. It's annoying that I have to replace all my Lightning infrastructure with USB C. But I also have to replace the supply that came with the new iPad. Very disappointing.

    Works like a charm...

    • Written by Lucas K from SAN DIEGO

I’ve been using this for my iPad Pro 10.5” (2nd gen), iPhone X and iPhone XS Max. The speed in which it charges compared to the 12W (which is what we’ve been using) is noticeably quicker. Much faster & worth the additional money to enable the “quick charge” capabilities.

    Seriously Apple?!

    • Written by Jason R from Fargo

The charger itself is great. However, since I leave my adapters and cables plugged in at specific outlets around my home and office. I now need new usb-c cables, and two power adapters at each spot for charging my iPhone and iPad. I admit this is a convenience thing, but I don’t like searching for power for my devices when it’s needed, or wasting additional outlets. A simple solution would have been for Apple to release a combo power adapter(usb-a and usb-c on one block) immediately when they started releasing devices requiring usb-c to charge. I find it hard to believe that this notion didn’t cross any of their engineers minds and come to fruition... I realize there are aftermarket solutions, but that is beside the point, I like using cables and adapters from the same brand as my devices, as do many others. Anyway, this alone is making me consider returning my new iPad Pro along with the accessories and just go back to using my old one. Rant(review) over, thanks for reading!

    A very good product

    • Written by Michael F from Staten Island

As much as I dislike apple for overpricing people on their products I must admit this product is well worth the money. It works as advertised and does a great job and not degrading the battery like the other chargers (MacBook chargers). I highly recommend to everyone

    Terrible design

    • Written by Kris S from Birmingham

The usb C is nice and so is the 18 watts of power, but that's it. The design is terrible. It's an odd shape and no folding prongs. Bare minimum effort went into this product. I'll spend less money and get more ports in a smaller package from Anker.

    Undecided - iPhone 8 Plus

    • Written by Ralph Y from Palo alto

I just purchased the 18w charger plus USB-C cable. Some are indicating that they experience 50% charge in 30 minutes with this 18W charger. My initial experience is much less. It took 1 hour to charge my iPhone 8 Plus from 80% to 97% . In other words, it took 60 minutes to provide less than a 20% charge. This is faster than I was experiencing with the standard plug and cable that were supplied with the iPhone but much less than I was expecting with this upgrade to USB-C plug and cable. Does this new plug ratchet down the charging to a trickle charge as it nears 100%? Could that be the reason for the results that I experienced?

    Great Charger !! FAST CHARGER!

    • Written by Juan H from Los angeles

The 18 W USB C charger is nice. Feels really solid and it does not feel like it will break easily. Price is fine, compared to other Fast Chargers on the Apple line up.

Anyone looking for a Fast Charger this is it, look no further. Charges relatively fast. It can take your charger from 40% to about 70% in about 30 mins.

Do Not Double Think It. BUY IT!!!

Bought this to fast charge my iPhone 8 Plus. This adapter is so much more convenient and cheaper than purchasing the 30 watt MacBook charger. I would recommend this as the cheapest way to fast charge the iPhone.

the fast charge works on the iPhone XS MAX (up to 50% charged in 30 minutes). But this thing is quite FAT to hold in your hand. so hopefully this will last
