    Horrible, save your money.

This was by far the worst buy ever! The cover gets in the way of fast typing and doesn't stay in place. It constantly moves and makes the keyboard buttons feel a lot heavier and harder to push down. It doesn't stop wiggling out of place.

    Functional, but makes screen dirty.

It does a good job of protecting debris from getting into keyboard. Its clear, so the backlighting comes through as normal. It quiets the keys down, which is a plus. Unfortunately it leaves prints on the screen. I have cleaned it daily and have made sure that it sits flat on the keyboard. I still find myself wiping my screen every time I open my laptop. I would not recommend. There are cheaper ones available that work better.

So Great Compared to Other Keyboard Protectors

Very thin and clear. I'm impressed. - This is all that I ask for in a keyboard protector, but none of the other brands seem to do this. I have bought two other silicone keyboard protectors on Amazon and both of them have had issues, the main issue being that they are extremely bulky and take some adjusting to.

Although it is very slightly easier to type without Moshi's keyboard protector, the difference is widely unnoticeable compared to the other keyboard protectors I've dealt with.

The price, in my opinion, is very much worth it. Highly recommended if you are looking for a way to protect your laptop while not giving up the luxury of fast and comfortable typing.

MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS: Because it's so light, the protector can stick to your fingers every once in a while and pull up from the keyboard. I wish Moshi would make the edges of the protector sticky, magnetic, or heavy so that they would stick down on the edges of the keyboard and the protector wouldn't come up so easily.

    Cloudy, Clunky

Purchased for my 15" MacBook Pro Retina. It's a good fit for the keyboard, but that's where the good news ends. After a couple months of light use, the protector has gotten cloudy and I can't get it clean. I haven't gotten used to the feel of the keys with the protector on -- they are noticeably less responsive. I'm also seeing imprints from the cover on my screen. I had a cheap keyboard protector for my old 13" MacBook and it felt great, and lasted 8 years without any discoloration. Think I'll try to track down that manufacturer again and be done with Moshi.

Doesn't fit my Macbook Pro 13" keyboard

I'm disappointed that apple doesn't sell a product that is up to date with their computers. This doesn't fit around all the keys.

    Best keyboard protector out there

I wanted a keyboard protector and I didn't like any of the silicone ones I found online. I purchased one but it collected dust like there was no tomorrow and each time I closed my laptop it didn't close all the way/left reflective marks on my screen. I came across this keyboard protector and I just wanted something simple, nothing with color, clear - where you couldn't even tell there was a cover on your keyboard. I ordered it and I LOVE it. I've had it for about two years. It's saved my keyboard from a few accidents and when some people use my laptop they don't even know it has a cover on it. It's super thin and easy to clean. I love that it's not the silicone material. It's perfect. I'm extremely picky when I buy things and I promise you this is worth every dollar...and it lasts long!

    The best

Without a doubt, the best keyboard guard on the market.
I previously used a thicker silicone keyboard guard, however, that one left an imprint on my MBP screen and made fast typing almost impossible.
The moshi ClearGuard is thin, doesn't impair the writing speed and rather helps get a better grip on the keys. It also sticks well to the keyboard itself due to the thin glue strips.
Really well crafted and well thought out.

New MacBook Pro new Moshi Keyboard Cover

I'm finally replacing my Mid-2009 MacBook Pro which has always had a Moshi Keypad protector and I'm also ordering
a new Moshi. I love them. I've never had a problem with it sitting properly on the keys and staying there. Yes, after a
lot of use, or if you're eating something and your fingers are sticky, dirty, etc, they get dirty but they can be washed.
I wouldn't consider using a new MacBook Pro without one. It's such a small price to pay to protect your computer.

Not custom designed to fit MBP Retina

I bought this product to protect the keyboard on my MBP retina 13" from liquid spill. Whilst the overall quality of the material and the thickness of the skin is pretty good, I don't think this product is specifically designed for rMBP. This is very clear by just looking at it from the side of the machine. The skin's profile is obviously slightly higher than the keyboard. Because of this, the skin will leave some greasy marks on the screen, and for that I had to buy a screen protector. When typing with the skin on, I can feel the gap between the skin and the keys, making key press a bit clumsy.

All in all, you get decent keyboard protection but keep in mind it's not gonna be a perfect fit if you have rMBP.

    Don't buy - useless!

Please don't buy this keyboard guard! ! bought it today with my new macbook pro 13" retina display. The guard fits the keyboard but it's very flimsy and flutters/moves when you type. It also makes typing slower because when you try to tap a letter, the guard moves slightly, making it difficult. I do not recommend it at all. I really want my money back. Useless.

    Can't be more satisfied

This is a must-have product if you seriously care for your Mac's keyboard from all the dust, body sweat and anything else that shouldn't be on it. Ultra thin with great silicone quality, you'd barely feel that you're actually typing on a cover but not the keyboard itself. Highly recommended!

Looks awful after about a week

Was good at first but after about a week it started to get these cloudy stains and nothing can get it off.
Gives my computer a gross look even though I keep it very clean.

Protects the keyboard, even under harsh conditions

After spilling just a little bit of coffee on my 2015 MacBook Pro, I ended up needing to have the keyboard replaced. To prevent that from happening again, I decided to get a keyboard cover. I tried a cheaper version first, but it was so thick it was almost unusable. This one is much better. It does obviously change the feel of the keyboard, and I find my fingers getting a little bit tired because of the higher force needed to actuate the keys. But I don't actually find that it impedes my typing speed. I can easily type 80-90 WPM with this keyboard cover on.

I've been using this keyboard cover now for over a year. Since I got it, I've also started needing to use my laptop in a factory environment for programming CNC machines. In addition to using a hard case and a screen protector, this cover does a great job of preventing the laptop from being damaged by dust, grit, or chemicals from the environment. The cover has turned a little bit cloudy over time, and for some reason a drop of blue Loctite managed to stain the silicone. But since it's done such a great job of protecting the computer itself under these harsh conditions, I really have no complaints.

Great Protector That Retains the Satisfying Feel of Typing

I love this keyboard protector. One of the reservations I had before buying this for my Macbook Air 13' was that it would compromise the aesthetics of the laptop, as I had seen protectors do on other keyboards – but this fits very snugly and almost becomes a part of the keyboard. You can hardly even see it. You still get that super satisfying feeling you have from typing on a Macbook Air. I also like that it's not as "slippery" as typing on the naked keyboard. And of course, now I feel a lot more at ease drinking water and eating near my Macbook. The only complaint I have is that it does occasionally gather dust, but this is nothing a quick wipe can't fix. I would very highly recommend this to anyone looking for an extra layer of protection for their Macbook.

I really liked this cover for the first month, it was clear and clean and didn't make my keyboard look dirty. But it very soon started getting severely stained although I keep my devices very clean.
The stain didn't come off by microfiber cloth, dishwasher, warm water... NOTHING can get it clean again! This is a production defect.
Your keyboard will look much worse with the moshi cover than if you don't put this cover on it.

Not perfect fit for rMBP 15" typing feels clumsy

Still all the same quality product from Moshi and everything you would expect for its keyboard protector - transparentness, thinness and durability. However, perhaps designed with compatibility in mind, this MB version of keyboard protector doesn't fit the Retina Macbook Pro's keyboard as perfectly as those designed for Macbook Air and Apple wireless keyboard. Typing feels clumsy thus greatly slowed down as tiny gap between the protector and keyboard make it seems less secure and 'wobbly'. A bit disappointed considering its price where a dedicated version should have been released to fit the new rMBP.
Surprisingly, my Moshi protector (CS) for Apple wireless keyboard fits better and doesn't wobble like the MB version.

    Perfect Fit!

This keyboard protector fits perfectly on the keyboard. It moves around a tiny bit will typing but it is not noticeable.

The only complaint I have is that when using the arrow keys, the protector seems to lift up and slide around more, I believe this is because of how far the arrows are from other keys.

    So so, hard to type

13" rMBP - First Impressions Review

The surface of the protector is so 'smooth' in comparison to the keys that when you type, it's hard to tell what you're really pressing: are you pressing keys or the space between them?

    - It takes a lot more effort to type as you have to concentrate on a less tactile feel.

    - I accidentally lift up the protector whilst typing when pressing keys to the left or right (tab, shift, A, W, S, delete). The protector 'sticks' to your fingertips.

    - The protector slips around a lot - even if it's only by 1mm.

Background: 11 years of typing and I love to type
    Fast typist
    Preference for thin/laptop keys

Pros: No more seeing dust particles settle on the actual keys and get all paranoid about how many fall into the gaps (any dust on a Macbook stands out like a sore thumb).

No need to worry about keys going shiny after prolonged use... I love to type!

I'd be happy to blindly say that this is the best out there yet part of me still wants to give it two stars for functionality. For what it's worth, I think the form is quite nice.

Wouldn't impact slow typists in a negative way.

    Cons: Shifts around too much.

I can see why people would say that it leaves marks on their screen - the protector doesn't really sit flush on the individual keys; thus being raised higher, probably meaning it would come in contact with the screen. I haven't oiled up the protector enough to test that out yet. I will probably write another review for this if I come across that problem later on.

I have to use more force to press the keys - either because it has more resistance now or because I have to make sure I'm actually pressing a key and not the spaces between.

I have heard people say that this protector makes the typing sound quieter but in my experience, the overall impression it gives me is that it's louder. This is based upon using more force and hearing the sticky sounds of the keys each time. I don't think it's quieter, it's just a different sound. However, if you type slow and with two pointer fingers, it is quieter!

When using it for awhile, every time I move to use the trackpad I feel as though there is something wrong with it, like there's a protector on it and I have to move it in a funny way. It makes the overall experience of controlling a Mac very unfulfilling. Just to clarify, there is nothing on my trackpad.

Neutral: I wouldn't say that the protector is 'invisible' or that 'I can hardly tell it's there'. The protector gives a grey look to the keys. :( The appearance of the protector is by no means disturbing, annoying, or an eye sore.

Packaging: Remove it carefully, it isn't secured in a pack that's in a pack (like it seems). When I opened the initial packet I saw a tab so I pulled it and out came the keyboard protector's store away hard plastic in cardboard... that's when I realised after looking back into the original package that my actual keyboard protector was folded in half and unprotected because I had pulled out this other package.

There are two dents/lines/defects/stretched plastic near the top left of my keyboard protector and it's really annoying to see because otherwise, the edges of the protector wouldn't be seen. My guess is that the sides of the protector got caught on the 'tabs' of this other package. :( :(

To take away: If you really like to type (fast), you should reconsider. Use the beautiful look and feel of your Mac keyboard as it is or put up with clumsy typing.

I might just have to put up with shiny keys or deal with snail speed.
