Displays the remaining time that you will have to work, to pay your taxes for the current year or if Tax Freedom Day has already passed, the time that you have been earning your own money.

Tax Freedom Day is the day on which the average American has earned enough to pay his taxes for the current year. This widget uses data from the Tax Foundation, which in turn uses data from the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, in its calculations.

Because Tax Freedom Day occurs on a different day, each year, this widget will automatically fetch the latest Tax Freedom Day data from the internet, when it becomes available, shortly after the new government data is released, around the end of March or early April. The widget also resets for the next year, every January.

What’s New in this Version
- Added the ability for the widget to fetch the most recent Tax Freedom Day data from the internet, once every time it starts up or when Dashboard opens, with this widget active. This eliminates the need to download a new version of the widget every year, just to update the date.
