EarthShots.org is a Photo of the Day contest featuring a fresh vision of Earth everyday. Inspirational images celebrating the beauty and diversity of our planet are selected from hundreds of entries submitted by EarthShots.org’s visitors.

The Earth Shots widget is an unobtrusive, lightweight widget that displays a thumbnail of the current photo of the day on your dashboard. Click on the thumbnail and you are taken to a page with the caption and a larger view of the image. Click on the day name below the photo (i.e. “Monday’s Shot”) and a different random image from Earth Shots will be displayed. The Earth Shots widget is a beautiful adornment, perfect for even the most overcrowded dashboard!

What’s New in this Version
- You can now browse the EarthShots.org archive directly from you widget!
- Simple click on the day name below the photo (i.e. “Monday’s Shot”) and a different random image from Earth Shots will be displayed. After 5 minutes, the widget will revert back to showing the current photo of the day.
- You can still click on the thumbnail itself to view the photo larger and to comment on it.
