That's 8 devices total that you can operate and connect at once - all from one powerful little dock. Plus, 4K HDMI output means you will never miss a detail on your 4K display.

    Thunderbolt 2

Thunderbolt is a revolutionary I/O technology that supports high-resolution displays and high-performance data devices via one simple port and a cable that carries both DisplayPort and PCI Express data. And it’s standard on every Mac.

PCI Express is the technology that links all the high-performance components in a Mac. And it’s built into Thunderbolt, which means you can get PCI Express speed outside the box.

Thunderbolt 2 gives you up to 20 Gbps in both directions, allowing for super-fast data transfer between peripherals. You also have enough bandwidth to daisy-chain multiple high-speed devices without using a hub or switch.

Thunderbolt also provides double the power of USB 3.0, delivering 10 watts to peripherals for improved performance on the go.

The only downside is the price. But it does what it says on the tin.

I was excited when I purchased the dock, its well made feels solid and looks very sleek, however for my usecase I was quickly dissapointed, admittedly I should have paid closer attention but the device does NOT give any extra thunderbolt ports as one of the two ports pictured must be used as the uplink to the laptop leaving you with exactly the same number thunderbolt ports as you would have without the device. $430AUD is too much money for essentially a couple of extra USB ports. Luckily Apple took the device back no questions asked. A $15 DVI to HDMI connector and a $30 Belking usb hub did the job for me. 30" Inch Apple cinema, 27" Dell, CD Rom Drive, External Firewire drives, web cam, usb mic, apple watch, iphone all connected! but stll a mess. :( the sarch for a thunderbolt hub continues.....

      It works!

This hub works exactly as advertised. All USB 3.0 ports are performing at top speeds (simultaneous usage), audio is fine and I manage to drive a Dell P2715Q at This hub works exactly as advertised. All USB 3.0 ports are performing at top speeds (simultaneous usage), audio is fine and I manage to drive a Dell P2715Q at 2160 (@60Hz) through the HDMI port with great results! I would give it 5 stars if it wouldn't get so hot and if the thunderbolt cable did not feel kind of loose connected to my Macbook pro retina.

      USB doesn't charge

I got my dock a few years back. It seems to work fine except at some point, it stopped charging USB devices unless the Mac was running. The huge brick that powe I got my dock a few years back. It seems to work fine except at some point, it stopped charging USB devices unless the Mac was running. The huge brick that powers the device appears to have completely failed. So this is a $300 adapter & nothing more.

Current configuration has three external monitors via two Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter and one HDMI One monitor in rear, one in left thunderbolt and lastly one right side and HDMI Unfortunately the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express does not support this configuration. Thanks to Apple team for offering refund, which was not required since another use can utilize this dock.
