I had to move the Mac one time, about 5 weeks after buying the ARC and it just fell off. Not a huge deal, but cheap workmanship. Now my second problem, and I'm not even sure if this is specific to my mac, is that when I boot the Mac Pro on it's side, the fans go crazy. If I boot it standing up...no problem. Ton of clearance for the bottom vents in either situation and the machine room is kept at 68 degrees for all my gear. It's the oddest problem. Needless to say, I don't use the ARC any longer and I let the Mac stay vertical. Hope this helps someone else out.

Warning..... damage to your precious mac!!!!

Do not buy this product! The glue holding the "protective ring" lasts about 5mins and works its way out and you end up with your beautiful mac pro case sitt Do not buy this product! The glue holding the "protective ring" lasts about 5mins and works its way out and you end up with your beautiful mac pro case sitting on sharp metal frame!!! Needless to say this scratches the case terribly and you want to put the stand into band saw and chop it in half!!!!!

I'm going to echo some of the same points in the other reviews here, because I had the same experience myself. Even though the product description says that th I'm going to echo some of the same points in the other reviews here, because I had the same experience myself. Even though the product description says that the Mac Pro was designed to function both horizontally and vertically, as soon as you lay the Mac Pro on its side, the fan speeds up to compensate for the un-optimal heat distribution in the Mac Pro, and it gets hot. I even downloaded an app that displays the temperature of your system components to verify this. When the Mac Pro is vertical, the fan rarely spins up and the temperature is much cooler. So to protect your Mac from damage, I wouldn't recommend this product to any Mac Pro user! Also, the quality of the product itself is pretty shoddy for the price - the silicon part came loose the first time I lifted the Mac Pro out of it (the same day I bought it!).
