Overview
The Philips Hue Ambiance Starter Kit lets you create your own lighting environment at home using your Apple iOS device. Simply download the Philips Hue app and create customised white and coloured light settings that match your activity or mood. This starter kit contains three Hue light bulbs and the Hue bridge.
Connect the Hue bridge to your Wi-Fi and control up to 50 Hue bulbs simultaneously via the Hue app on your Apple iOS device. Hue light bulbs use five times less power than traditional halogen lights, making them an eco-friendly option.
Sync with music or films
Expand your television viewing experience across an entire room, take your gaming to the next level or even sync your Hue lights to your favourite music to enjoy every beat to the fullest.
Automated light schedules
Using the timer function in the Hue app, Philips Hue can make it seem like you’re at home when you’re not by switching lights on and off automatically. Compatible with Apple HomeKit (iOS 9 is required), you can recall your favourite light settings using Siri Voice Control.

The hue bridge does not have WiFi built in. It is meant to be wired to the router at all times.

Yes. Almost all my bulbs are from the US and they work just fine with 240V here in Australia. They a Yes. Almost all my bulbs are from the US and they work just fine with 240V here in Australia. They are the same in all markets so you're safe to use them.
