Can I use "LaCie 1TB Rugged Thunderbolt/USB 3.0 Hard Drive" with my mid 2010 Macbook. (thats the white one not the Pro) It has a mini display port

  • Due to the fact that the Mini DisplayPort will not transfer data or power to the drive, it can't be used that way with your Mac. However, you can still use the USB cable that comes with it for your MacBook and use the Thunderbolt connection if you upgrade to a newer Mac or are using the drive with a Thunderbolt enabled Mac.
