If i have an 802.11g device, will that slow down my 802.11N or 802.11AC devices when using this router?

    as per apple documentation and disclaimer on the bottom of the page:

    "Speed and range will be less if an 802.11a/b/g product joins the network"

  • No it's independent of other devices on the net. The router will negotiate with the device available protocol independently of other devices, that means the slow one will use a slower speed while using a faster speed with the faster devices. Mind you that there will be a limit of number of devices connected (I believe it's 50 users for this router) and how fast it will be able to handle everyone on that network.
