Other than a retina screen and a smaller size, is there any other difference between the macbook pro with retina and the normal macbook pro?

I don't want the retina screen just yet, as I want to wait a couple of years for websites and stuff to adjust so they don't look terrible with the new screen, as I've been hearing some do.

Also my current laptop is very heavy and big so I'll be fine with the heavier macbook pro, plus I want to use cd/dvds.

so other than that are the two macbooks the same?

  • If you configure both MBP spec for spec you will find that for some reason the Retina MBP is cheaper spec for spec than the standard.
