MacBook Pro, not Mac Pro.
It uses both, if a application needs better graphics it would require the strongest which is GT650. At its base it start with 4000 HD. You can also download a third party software to change your GPU (graphic card)
Usually laptops have two, just if you want to save money then you have a choice of buying one with integrated graphic card.

The Intel HD Graphics 4000 is used most of the time for better battery life. The MacBook Pro will automatically switch to the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M when it needs the extra graphics power.

The MacBook Pro uses the integrated Intel HD4000 graphics chip by default when it starts up, but the Mac operating system automatically switches from the HD4000 to the GT 650 when it detects that the HD4000 cannot process graphics operations quickly enough. Unlike on some PC notebooks, such as Sony's Vaio Z, this process is automatic.

as a builder of computers they can have both but in device manger will only use one of them... bye default it should us the better one (nvidia)...the good thing about having 2 would be if one crashed and stopped working you would have a back up w the intel hd and would still get a screen 2 see
