does this cable mute the ipod touch when connected/charging?
I gave my original cable to my daughter for her ipod when hers broke.
I then had a DLO cable that worked for charging and syncing but muted the ipod when connected.
I replaced it with a Dynex cable that charges and does not mute but will not sync - the ipod is not seen in itunes when connected.
So I want one that does it all, charges, syncs, does not mute.- Asked by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxx

is there a usb to ipod connector that doesn't have a cable?
The standard cable is too long when used in my wife's car (it gets tangled with her purse that sits on the floor of the car). The perfect solution would be a USB to iPod connector that doesn't have a cable between the two ends.

ipad ipod USB cable
Is the USB cable that comes with the iPad2 identical to the USB cable for the iPod touch (i.e. 3rd gen)? -- To be clear, I am not talking about the chargers which I realize are different for iPad vs iPod.

How do you disconnect cable?
The old iPod USB cable had buttons on both ends of the part that connected to the iPod. You pushed the buttons, and then it was easy to disconnect the iPod from the cable. However, I just bought a new iPod nano, and the cable head does not have buttons, so I basically have to yank it out sideways. This seems very dangerous to the internals of my iPod.
Is there a simple way to remove the iPod from this new cable? Is there some part I should be pushing so that it will slide right out easily, and I don't have to yank it out and scratch everything up? Thanks.- Asked by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxxx

I have a 3rd generation Ipod Touch and am going on a trip - can I connect my touch to the USB port in our car to keep it charged while I am gone?
I won't have my computer with me and the laptop we use has a different version of ITunes on it so I don't want to use that, unless I can prevent it from syncing.

iPod Dock Connector to USB 2.0 + Firewall Cable
I have an original i pod 40 gig Classic. It says in the manual that there is an accessory that can charge with a firewall connection to the power adapter that came with the unit and a USB that connects to the computer .both leads plug into the ipod base.Is this still available as I want to download my itunes library stored on my new computer to the ipod but currently there is not enough battery life to do it without it being connected to power which I cant do if the current USB cable (which does not supply power to the ipod) is already plugged in to the Ipod.

Can I sync to my Outlook calendar using USB cord? Does it need any add-on software/apps?
I am considering the switch from a Windows Mobile 6.1 Smartphone to an iPhone now that it will be available on Verizon. But, I do not want to be forced to pay for a high cost data package to connect to my Corporate server to do that. At this time I do not do any web browsing because that is not what I got a smart phone for -- I want it to be a phone and a calendar, and that is all. Maybe that will change with a better phone, but not if it means an extra $1000 over the 2 year contract.
I just want to be able to sync to Outlook using a USB cable just like I am now, or at most via a Wi-Fi connection. Any hope for me?- Asked by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxxx
