    Perfect! Black please!

    • Written by Paul W from HULL

This is perfect for Ethernet connection to my Apple TV 4K for when WiFi is flaky. It's top quality wire & components and the design matches the Apple mains lead & HDMI lead (all about attention to detail!!!) BUT please Apple can we have it in black so that it matches with the power lead and HDMI lead as I proudly keep my Apple TV box on display :) :) :)

No CAT6 rating printed on cable

    • Written by Benjamin W from Toronto

It is a standard Ethernet CAT6 cable. Can't get more standard like this. One reviewer complained about being thicker than Apple cables usually are. Well to get a standard CAT6 cable you probably can't get thinner, it is just all the shielding and material that is needed to provide CAT6 performance (engineer speaking here).

However, one big design flaw I see is that nowhere on the cable CAT6 is mentioned. This will be a problem once you throw out the box it came in and in a few months/years CAT6 will be outdated, you will look at the cable and not know/remember anymore what speed it is rated for. In professional networking knowing what CAT cable you are dealing with is absolute basic.

This is a BIG design flaw in my opinion thinking ahead of time. Instead of the generic "Get Connected" slogan Belkin could have put meaningful performance ratings on the cable. Hence the 1 star. It works as a cable as it should though.

Good looking. Worthy of a Mac.

I bought this cable to replace an ugly generic I had for my mac. The colours are spot on replicas of typical Apple cables and the whole thing looks like a giant lightning cable.

I have two minor criticisms, the cable is slightly too thick in my opinion - Apple cables tend to be thinner than the average cables, but if anything this is thicker. My second criticism is that the actual connectors are quite large. When connected to the mac a large block of plastic pokes out from the side brandishing "Belkin" in big letters.

In terms of performance I ran back to back bench tests with my old generic cable and this Belkin one which showed no meaningful differences.

I would recommend this cable, however I feel they could have taken a couple more steps to make it look slightly more Apple like.

    Totally worth it!
    So it works.
Thanks to apple engineers, now I have cable that decomposes in 6 month as it designed.
