    Lasted 15 months

The device worked well but for $140 I was hoping it would last longer than just 15 months. That worked out to about $10 a month.

It's now dead and just past the 12 month warranty that Apple offers. I feel kind of ripped off.

    Don’t buy.

Unless you have lots of money to burn. We’ve 2 at home, one of it failed, and there’s no easy way to claim warranty in Singapore. Then now it’s out of warranty. Did contacted Elgato, asked me to send somewhere. The other working unit, battery suddenly runout, there’s no notification that battery is empty, unless you check everyday, which I sort of did. But battery show as 30%, then I look closely I’ve not sync for 4 days which I only realized the battery is empty! Can’t imagine this is the user experience for such expensive product?!!

Simple to setup easy to use

Contrary to a couple of the reviews this is extremely easy to setup and use. It also works with your AppleTV as HomeKit Hub, so you do not have to be in proximity of the device. To setup, I just downloaded the app, installed the batteries, scanned the homeKit code and I was up and running. The info shows up in my Eve App and also in the Home app. I can view the data remotely as we have an AppleTV at home which automatically allows remote access to the homekit devices
Shows air quality as well as temperature and humidity.

    Terrible Product

Contrary to what the sales person says in Apple Store, it does NOT connect by WiFi, your iPhone needs to be within a few meters of the Eve device to connect and get a reading. This defeats the purpose of having a wireless device. You can't check the reading in another room or outside the house, or even just slightly further away..

Set up was difficult and buggy, one iPad took a long time to connect, the other doesn't connect at all. The in app set up instruction requires someone very familiar with how iCloud works with the devices to set it up. If you have no idea about iCloud, you won't stand a chance.

Must use iCloud for it to work. With Apple's terrible record of iCloud security, I decided not to use it at all.

Stay away, don't throw your money away.

Excellent product that provides sensor input to your automations

Setup was a breeze, put the batteries in, add to home kit and you a ready to go. Then let it settle in to your room of choice for a day to get enough stats. Ideally let it get settled for a week in order for you to get used to the stats and behaviour of your environment. It measures temperature, humidity and air quality. Use the excellent Elgato Eve app to setup more complex automations. For example, I was able to use the rules feature to set up an automation that would automatically turn on my daughter's radiator (eve Energy plug) if it got too cold in her room, and one to turn off when it reached the correct temperature. Setup of rules takes some practice so start simple. A great product that adds meaningful triggers to my home automation.

    Works Well

We have 3 of these and they work very well and the App is quite clear and user friendly.

Had trouble getting them to update via Apple TV hub (HomeKit) so they work remotely, but they update when you are within range.

Batteries last a couple of month. Would like to get alerts based on Temperature/Humidity/Air Quality, but I think this is limited by HomeKit.

    Not user-friendly

The device has no digital display and the software just too dumb to use, purchased it and stopped working in 6 mths, went to the official web site and get no help at all, not recommended!!!
