    Belkin Audio & Charger

    Worked great for about three weeks, then it stop working. Really hate this no longer works, wouldn't recommend this product. Which I had done my research prior to purchasing. However, since Best Buy states Apple recommend this dual adapter I assumed it would work for infinity, what a disappointment.

    Works fine until it doesn't

    Mine worked fine for 9 months, then one day stopped passing audio to the ear buds, although it continues charging. I'm trying to be fair and not penalize the product because I'm angry at the need for the product. If I wasn't such a nice, fair guy, it would get one star. But to be fair it worked as intended for 9 months which is a lot longer than some others have experienced. Occasionally there would be a charging problem that was always solved by removing and re-inserting the plug. But this new audio problem is terminal. On repeated attempts to connect, every once and a while I would get a second or two of audio before it quit. The ear buds work fine plugged directly in the phone. But then I can't charge the phone, as Apple in their infinite wisdom intends that I not do.

    WHY was the headset jack removed from the iPHONE ?!?!?!?!

    This device is first and foremost a PHONE for making and RECEIVING phone CALLS !!! Every other function is SECONDARY to phone calls!
    No one currently makes a reliable splitter that allows the phone to charge WHILE using the 3.5mm earbuds for phone calls - this greatly hampers business use-age! iPhone 6 is the last model w/ a headset jack. I will not upgrade to a different model until the headset jack is again separate from the charging port. Please Apple, please return our cell phones to functional standards :/

    Easy to be broken

    I brought it for 3 months, i use it almost everyday, and now there is no sound in my headphones when I use this product. I thought the quality should be nice but it totally disappointed me!

    Overpriced junk

    For the ridiculous price of this little gadget I expect it to work for at least a year. Nope. Been using this dongle for six months and it stopped recognizing my headphones then stopped working altogether.

    Had one that lasted a few months then stopped charging, finally recieved a replacement from belkin after 6 weeks of waiting and 3 days later it has stopped charging again, extremely frustrated.

    I had a different 3rd party adapter previously but had to 'upgrade' when I purchased an iPhone Xs, as it refused to recognize the adapter I already owned. The Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge Rockstar performed its job for 30 days, at which point it also ceased to be recognized by my device. The phone has no issues connecting to any other lightning connection, but the power and the audio connection for this dongle have completely failed.

    My Cat's Fur Ball is of Greater Use Than This

    Unreal, that the guy at the Apple store today was fully confident that this will allow me to use my Ur Beats for calls and listening to music while my phone was charging on my desktop dock. Have wasted more than an hour since buying this, this afternoon to have it work literally for 14 seconds and then cut out, (more than once) what a waste of my time and money. It is going back tomorrow. How stupid that I can't use my headphones with my phone charging on the dock. Seriously, at least with the fur ball, I know my cat's digestive system is working.

    When charging and listening to music at the same time there is a huge amount of static coming through the speakers. When I remove the charge plug the sound is reasonably clear. This is very disappointing. The whole point of this thing is to be able to charge the device while listening to music through a 3.5 audio cable as a line out to a stereo or headphones. This is an epic fail that is very expensive for the consumer. I sure wish I'd read the reviews here before dropping $40. on this piece of junk.

    Stops charging

    My first one stopped working with my earphones. My second stopped charging my phone. Be prepared to buy lots of replacements if you get this.

    Huge, cumbersome design makes this already a pretty horrible “solution” to an annoying inconvenience. But I’m fine with it, since I’m too much of an Apple fanboy, lol. Either way, this garbage dongle stopped working out of nowhere not even 2 months after purchase. Skimming this product review page, I’ve noticed in sock, I’m far from the only one. Rather go buy wireless headphones instead.

    Hate it but need it

    Like so many others, I've only rated this one star because zero stars is not a possible option. I have gone through 6 of these. Yes, 6. At this point, I believe I'm the crazy one for still falling for this product. Apple forces us to need this product though. What a design! To force us to buy AirPods, isn't it?

    Lighting to 3.5mm + Charger -- no longer supports telephone calling

    Losing the headphone jack for lots of iPhone customers is huge inconvenience. I do not like wireless headphones since another thing to lose or fail to have charged. But I can live with the adapter although poor customer service for Apple to now make you buy one to use your existing 3.5mm headsets.

    But you cannot charge and use headsets at same time which is big problem. So, I purchased Belkin adapter and it stopped working for phone calls after a month. For $34 it was outrageously expensive to fix a problem that should not have arisen in the first place. That it is so shoddily made and there is no explanation as to why it failed or if fixing is an option, is doubly disappointing.

    Shame on Apple, shame on Belkin. Oh well.....

    Faulty Product

    Purchased the accessory yesterday and it worked fine all day. Today I attempted to use it, and the audio function is not working - cannot talk on the phone and charge the device simultaneously. I am so disappointed that I have to take more time out of my day to go and exchange this, or return it and find a different solution. Apple claims that one of the reasons for removing the headphone jack was to have more space to introduce new technology. The decision to remove the jack was in no way innovative, it is just a huge inconvenience to your customer based that relied heavily on it and have no interest in wireless earphones. At the very least, give customers an option - make new models with and without the headphone jack option. Also, perhaps making the phones a little bigger to incorporate the new technology that you removed the jack for could be explored. It could give you the additional space needed without putting a large piece of your customer base through this degree of anguish. I can comfortably say that if the jack is not reintroduced on upcoming models, this will be the last iPhone I purchase. Thank you.

    Worst product failed 3 purchases

    Purchased 3 Times, all three didn’t last for more than 3 months, I’m surprised how apple would allow such products to market on their website. Why don’t Apple make it one of them(2 in 1 adapter).

    I dont know in which way this can help me if i write & hate on this &“!€&!?“ adapter...
    however when i plug in my headphones (even if there is no music/sound playing) it makes a disturbing noise every 1/2 seccond, and it wont last!

    What now?

    0 stars for me. A waste of money

    Got this thinking apple would know what they are doing with their products. Was already annoyed when they got rid of the headphone jack altogether. Then they play this game with loyal customers. Charging almost £35 for a piece of junk that doesn’t even work. Attempted to charge and play music at the same time in my car and all I got was a high pitch squeak out of it. Sort yourselfs out apple. This is getting embarrassing. Switching to Samsung, where they actually take care of their customers. Not go after the wallet every time

    Works on and off

    It toggles between charging and charging I have to unplug it and plug it again.I told the wire was broken so I bought a new one but it does the same thing with my iPhone 8 Plus.
