Too expensive to break this easily.

I’ve been using this charging station for a few months. For Father’s Day, I bought one for my husband. The connector to charge the iPhone bent upon his first week using it. I scolded him for being too heavy handed, but I was able to exchange it. He swore to me he didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. Fast forward to 5 minutes ago, I pulled my charger out of my suitcase where it was gingerly wrapped and not placed with anything heavy. The bag sat in my car truck until now, so no airplane handling, etc. My iPhone connector piece is completely bent 90°. I know there’s no way for you to know this about me, internet, but I take meticulous care of my things. I’m beyond disappointed in the quality of this product for the price they are charging for it. We had the same problem happen twice in one month with two different docks. Too late to return, so I have to eat the cost I guess.

I Really Tried To Love This Stand!

I really tried to love this stand. If you use a naked phone, this is an excellent charging stand. However, if you have a case on your iPhone, such as the OtterBox Defender, you will need a a lightning socket extension adapater in order to use the stand.

First off - 90% of the negative reviews I read had to do with the mount powering only one device at a time or very slowly on one. Can't stress enough that the unit may not have been faulty, just simply user error in plugging in the power adapter. The plug is deeply recessed, so make sure the power plug clicks all the way in. Otherwise you are going to have power issues when charging devices; ie you didn't follow directions.

Hope this helps for anyone on the fence about this product:

Works well charging my iPhone 8+ and Apple Watch series 3 simultaneously

20-30 min charge to full when watch is at 20% battery

about a little more than an hour for iPhone with 20% battery life: with single unit or double unit charging on base.

Product woks as it should. if its truly defective, then return it. The warranty should cover a faulty unit.

Works very well and Night stand mode works !!!

Received as birthday gift Jan 2018. Adjusted dock to allow for phone case thickness and voila, solid click into place no charging issues.
    First few days I accepted that night stand mode would not work BUT if you follow my instructions you get Nightstand mode;
    1) Start with empty stand
    2) place watch on stand such that crown is facing up AND has started charging
    3) Now tilt stand forward until watch enters night stand mode then tilt stand back to normal resting
    4) Carefully install iPhone and not disturb watch charging

    * The watch stays in NightStand mode even independent of angle as long as it does not STOP charging

Now I just tap the shelf and watch displays time like before.

Now I have it all !!!

    Excellent Design

Very high quality design, heavy and constructed well. It is not cheap but the design is appreciated. Comes with single power supply that powers both Watch and iPhone. The Lightning connector is adjustable vertically so your case will work, and is flexible back and forth to make for easier insertion. It is not a fast charger like your USB-C brick, but it is faster than the OEM 5w charger. The base is heavy enough that it does not shift much when you are connecting and disconnecting.

    Works well with SOME cases

I bought this for my wife last year (2016) for Christmas. It has worked just fine she has a less bulky case.
I bought the second one this week (12/17) for myself. **Not as good, I have a bigger (Lifeproof iphone 7+) case on my phone and it can't get into the port for charging even with the available adjustments.

So I will say this, depending on the case you have it may or may not work while the case is on. I will have to take my case off each night. Kind of a bummer. 3 stars for the quality I've had with my wife's for the past year, downgraded 2 stars for incompatibility with my case.

    Conceptually Great, Not Executed Well

I love the idea of being able to charge my watch and phone simultaneously using the same doc. The problem is it is difficult to connect the phone to the doc so that it starts to charge - I find that actually getting it to work is more of a clumsy ballet than a sophisticated convenience.

Great looking dock but not very usable

Looks great on the product page but its not very practical as you can't easily put your phone on to charge as this requires that you line up the dock connector with the phone port, when the lights are out this becomes really difficult.Every now and then the watch will slip off its magnetic charge pad just a few millimeters causing it to stop charging.Im waiting for something better as this was a disappointing buy and im sure something better will come along.

How could something so expensive stop working after two days?

I received this charging dock as a gift from my significant other. Two days and it started acting up. It would stop charging and begin charging again after a few seconds, sort of like what you would see with their cables they offer. She paid 150 after taxes. How? This is a disgrace, how does such a big company as Apple and Belkin sell faulty things like this. I mean after a few years it stops working alright. However, two days? Surely they can do better. Returning this product tomorrow. I am highly dissatisfied with this product and do not recommend it top anyone.

This is the charger you want.

If you have an iPhone and Apple Watch you want this charger. It is very well built. It looks fantastic on my nightstand. The base is nice and heavy, which makes it hard to push around or accidentally push over or off the nightstand, which was a worry of mine. It isn't cheap but, but worth it for the quality. Exceeded my expectations as did the Apple Watch I bought with it. I had been thinking about buying the watch for years and glad I finally bought one!

    A very attractive space saver!

For the longest time, I was using an Anker dual USB block to charge my iPhone 7 Plus and Watch (Series 2). This little dock looks great (bought mine in black) and saves space while keeping both devices at a nice angle for bedside use. My iPhone 7 Plus is in an Otterbox Symmetry case and my Watch is equipped with an X-doria Defense case/bumper. Both fit nicely on the dock! The lightning plug is adjustable, so I never have to take my phone out of the case! The only drawback (not worthy of one less star) is that I have to use the band support or the Watch likes to spin around if you even look at it funny.

Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Perfect Combination

This is a must have accessory if you own both the iPhone and Watch, and want to save some space. Right off the bat the Belkin dock comes in a beautifully packaged box containing the stand and the AC charger. I happen to own the black dock and it really is very aesthetically pleasing. The phone charger is actually adjustable to accommodate for various phones. This charger also is very fast: my iPhone 7 Plus and Watch Series 2 both charge in just over an hour from 20% battery life. Must have and even know the price is a little high, it is definitely worth it.

    Outstanding Charger

This dual charger is just perfect. It charges my phone and watch quickly. The base is nice and stable and I like the weight to it. I have a slim fitting case for my iPhone 7 and it is nice I don't have to remove the case. Well worth the money, in my opinion!

    Watch charger

I bought and returned this because it didn't work with my waterproof phone case due to the closure over the lightening port. I recently switched cases to a Loopy no-drop case which would work fine, however, I am disappointed that the watch doesn't lay on its side to utilize the clock mode.
I am thinking of buying the phone only version of this stand ( I really like the upright stand) and continuing to use my watch charger that utilizes the clock mode.

    Excellent Product

I bought this stand after reading the reviews about it and since it was something that I was looking for since I have my iPhone and 2 apple watches. I went down to the Apple store and bought it and one of things that I noticed that it is made very well with good weight and so far it charges both my phone and watch with no problems. The only con is that I wish I could have used my own apple charger and cable since I have so many of them instead of the one that came with it but otherwise this is a great product and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Got the one in silver...looks great and worked great for a few months but the charging port for the phone is dead. I can even see that one of the little brass/gold connectors that plugs into the phone has either burnt out or whatever. I've maybe had it 5-6 months. Very expensive product for you to only get a few months out of it.

    Great charging station

I bought this charging station for my Apple Watch, that I absolutely love, and iPhone. I wanted to get rid of all the charging cables and this fit the bill. It is heavy and very sleek looking. I can leave my phone in its case to charge it. It is well worth the money and works great! Just love it

    Great Charger

I bought this for my wife for her birthday. I was a bit worried that I paid too much. It is a bit more expensive than most. But it seems to be very good quality and very sturdy. So far really happy. I may buy one for myself. The only thing that it doesn't have is additional usb ports for charging other devices. But there is something to be said for simplicity in design too. I was thinking about taking off a star for that, but this thing is really well made.

High Hopes but beware of Integrated Devices

The idea is great to have an integrated stand for your watch and phone. I expected to put both devices on the stand and in the morning I would have a fully charged phone and watch. It works great for the watch but the phone wouldn't keep charged. It was hard to get the lightning connection to start charging and then it would stop during the middle of the night. I tried dialing the connector up and down to get the best contact inside the phone but that didn't help, or I would get it charging and then try to dial the phone down to make a secure position for the phone, but that wouldn't work. It's possible that it was still charging in the morning but it charges at such a slow rate while the watch is connected that the phone consumes more battery than it is charged, such that it will have less battery than what you started with by morning. Last night I set the phone in and had it charging with over 80% charge. By morning it was 37%. One night, I was woken up by the phone warning, telling me it was at 20%. I couldn't get back to sleep at 2:00 am for fear the phone would die and I wouldn't wake up on time to go to work at 4:30! I'm returning the stand and just getting a watch charging base and keeping the two chargers separate. This is another example of two devices integrated together and you have to return it because one of the devices is defective.
