Works but stops iPad from charging

    • Written by Kristofer G from Venice

Good sturdy/bulky case. Keyboard works well; only problem now is that with the latest updates the iPad stops charging when the keyboard is connected. Updates needed and Apple and/or Logitech needs to actually address this issue.

    Good Try, but issues

    • Written by J B from Jamaica

    Pros:
    - Keyboard is convenient on flat, supported surfaces
    - Case protects the back of iPad Pro
    - Slot for Apple Pencil (material may perform differently as it expands/contracts slightly in various weather)

    Cons:
    - Caps lock key does not function properly. Instead, it cycles through my available keyboard settings (English/Mandarin/Emoji). There is already a button for that.
    - Lage gap between screen and keyboard when close... Why not make the keyboard sit flush in side the case rim or leave just a few millimeters?
    - Fabric on opposite side of the keyboard is far from ideal. A rubberized material would be better for grip and easier to clean.

I would not need this if Apple keyboard offered pencil holder and some combination of protection for the back of iPad.

    Nice but...

    • Written by Stuart D from Santa Rosa

The case certainly does what it's advertised to do - it protects the iPad from most knocks and bumps, has a nice keyboard, and a loop to hold the Pencil. But the darned thing weighs a ton. It more than doubles the weight of the iPad. It feels like one of those old IBM rectangular ThinkPads. Popping off the keyboard is simple and easy, but the case around the iPad itself is what's heavy and bulky. It's NOT comfortable to hold for reading in bed. I'm still in the 14 day return period, so I'm not sure...

iPad Pro 9.7 version was 10x better

    • Written by Hakan S from Boston

The old version seemed slimmer and more functional especially when I want to fold the keyboard back without worrying the keys are going to be pressed as this version attaches to iPad via doc connector. Please Logitech give us a new version that's same or slightly improved version of the 9.7 style. Thank you.

    Functional, but definitely not slim!

    • Written by Julia T from Portland

I purchased the keyboard, hoping it would be like Apple's Smart Keyboard but with coverage of the back of the device. It does cover the back of the device but boy, is it a bulky case! The keyboard itself has a nice feel but the materials are a hard plastic and not at all what I expected for such sleek tablet. Also would have liked the function keys to have the option of using as F1, F2, F3, etc. After much deliberation, I'm returning this keyboard, keeping my fingers crossed for something more sleek.

Great concept with box store, house brand quality/execution.

    • Written by Thomas P from Hanover

I had high hopes for this combination. It seemed "great on paper," as other reviewers have mentioned, but the clunky execution and cheap materials simply don't reflect the price.

I would love a case/back with an adjustable kick-stand as well as a proper backlit keyboard cover, but I just can't put an exceptional piece of hardware like the 10.5-inch iPad Pro into a case-keyboard-cover combo that feels like something one would expect from a box store house brand, not Logitech.

I had planned to use this with a leather Smart Cover, swapping the keyboard out when I didn't need it and adding some refinement to the setup, but the back case is so chunky I can't see that scenario working.

Unless you absolutely need the utility, I can't recommend this. If you're like me the material and build quality will only serve to remind you of the price paid and hopes dashed.

Until someone develops a proper cover/case/keyboard (backlit) combo, I'll stick with the 10.5-inch edition of the $18 third-party TPU case I bought for the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Love the keyboard, hate the case

    • Written by Ben C from Lexington

I really wanted to love this product but I just can't. The keyboard is great. I really like the back-lighting and the key travel. I do not like the fact that it can't be tucked behind the iPad when you are just holding it.

The back-plate / case is another story. The kickstand works fine but the case is too big and too bulky. The worse part about it is the plastic "fingers" that hold the iPad in and come up significantly over the surface of the iPad. It almost feels like it's sitting down in something. This makes it very uncomfortable to use without the keyboard.

If you are just going to sit your iPad on your desk and type it probably great. If you want it to be light, portable, and comfortable then I can't recommend this case. I will be returning mine today.

Slim is a matter of opinion

    • Written by Andrew C from Boca Raton

This case is big. Really big. And heavy. If you're used to using Logitech's keyboard case for the 9.7 ipad pro, get ready for something that feels much bigger and heavier. It kinda sorta defeats the purpose of an ipad if it's in a case with a keyboard that makes it bigger -- or at the very least heavier -- than a Macbook Air. Make no mistake: the keyboard works flawlessly and there is merit to the multi-piece configuration, but this is by no means slim.

    Cleaver design - awful materials

    • Written by Stephen R from Oakland

Just purchased this in anticipation of receiving the 10.5 iPad Pro next week. I love that it has an adjustable kickstand, backlit keys, and easily detaches from the keyboard. What I find sorely disappointing is the hard plastic they used. In this day of soft-touch plastics, I'm surprised they chose this hard, cheap-feeling material. I currently use a 9.7 pro with Apple's silicon case and their keyboard. I love caring that thing around - feels so good in the hand! The function of Logitech's slim-combo is a winner, so I'll be keeping it. I just wish they'd made a different choice in the material.
