    No problems here

Not sure exactly the reason for so much negativity on this product. My wife got me one for Christmas and it works just fine. While I wish the sweet spot was a little larger, it's certainly not fatiguing to find it. I like the LED indicator and the charging time seems to be fine....not instantaneous, but it does the job. I have a relatively thick Quad-Lock case on my iPhone X, but it doesn't seem to hinder the charging ability.

    Fast Charge!

The Belkin Boost-Up Wireless Charging Pad does a great job. I read complaints of having to position the iPhone correctly for it to work. So? That is no big deal. It charges my iPhone 8 as fast as a lightning cable and it looks pretty cool, too. I like the green LED that indicates the iPhone is in the correct position and charging. No gripes and all. Good value. Very recommended!

    Slowest wireless charger

    Total waste of time

Initially this frustratingly only charged when the phone was placed carefully and only in certain positions. When I added an apple leather phone case it stopped charging which meant removing the case each time- daunting when it’s so tightly fit and phone likely to be launched across the room. Now to top it off it has stopped working altogether. After many Apple purchases I’d become complacent in plugging in and getting on without a glitch. This is listed on this site therefore endorsed and I cannot fathom why?
    Truly dissapointing.

    Don't Do it!

Bought it in Sep 2017. It's now Feb 2018 and I am soooo mad that I can't return it. It worked ok for a while. It was already a little finicky about where you placed the phone on the charging pad to start charging. It has to be in the exact right spot in order to charge. As it got older that spot got smaller and smaller till now it is hit or miss whether I will wake up to a charged phone. Don't forget you will have to remove the phone from the case in order to charge (inconvenient). Cool concept poorly executed. Stick with the cord.

    Not even close

It seems as though the Belkin need for the phone to be place perfectly on it. Let me tell you after buying three of these POS’ I will never by a belkin product again just because of the pure frustration of $180 of useless coasters. Go with mophie, I have three of them and also have three Samsung. I warn this is truly unbiased, I have not returned them, I do not have the time nor do I care to.

Not even close to working! I just threw it across the bedroom

    Charging Base Efficacy

It is strange to read a number of negative commentaries for this product.

I have several white colored charging pads by Belkin and several black colored charging pads also by Belkin, and they all seem to function well, although somewhat slow. For the overnight charging they work fine. Both I phone 8 and I phone X models’ batteries replenish their power to completion. The black colored pads are advertized to work with other brand name telephones as well. Indicator light is helpful. These pieces of equipment are not overpriced for their functionality. Even if Apple finally releases their own charging base, Belkin pads work quite all right for their purpose, and I am inclined to keep them.

Again, it’s unusual to see negative commentaries. All Belkin products have proven reliable for me.

Charges Samsung S8 Perfectly. iPhone x - charged ONCE successfully.

I have a Samsung S8 for work, and an iPhone x as a personal device. I got the Boost Up when i bought the X.
It is SHOCKING with the iPhone x.
Here's an example of what to expect. When i place the iPhone down on the charging pad, i have to move it around 5 or 6 times before the charging light will turn on. It must be MILLIMETRE PERFECT. In contrast, i can throw the Samsung S8 down ANYWHERE on the pad and it will charge. It can be half off the pad and still charge. When i go to bed, i place it carefully on the charger, and adjust it until it begins to charge. go to sleep. wake up in the morning to 18% battery. It just inexplicably stops charging (only on the iphone - not the S8).
In summary. Apples implementation of wireless charging is a complete joke. It's clearly not the fault of the charger. Yet, WHY market this on the apple site as the "premium" wifi charger?????? It simply fails to work with your device!

    Gets the job done.

My wife and I each own an 8 plus and we both enjoy and use the Belkin. We've had no problems since purchasing last December and plan to buy a second so that we don't fight over who gets to the one we already have. :-)

    Waste of time and money

I bought this thinking it would be great to use instead of charging cords boy I was wrong. It doesn’t work with my phone case. After taking off the case and placing the phone on the charger my iPhone 8 kept sliding off the charging pad. It also didn’t connect after placing it back on pad. I do not want to remove case every time I want to charge my phone so I will return it and just use the regular charging cord at least that way I know my phone is actually charging

    Don't like it

I purchased this charger for my iPhone X
Just don't like it. I can't wait until the Apple
Air power is released. It charges the phone,
    Watch and Air Pods.

WARNING: Garbage - DONT NOT BUY!!!!

I bought four of these for my wife and I to use at work and home. We both have the iPhone X.

This thing will only charge the device for a short period of time, but never will it finish a charge. I let it sit on the charging pad all night and wake up to 40% charge on my phone. I have tried with each charging pad, same result.

I tossed the boxes and cannot return the product, so I am out $240. What a rip off, especially at the $60 price tag.
Belkin, SHAME on you taking advantage of customers like this. Where is the QA testing?

I have always liked your products, but now you lost a customer for life. I feel violated.

Very Good. An hour on the pad gives a day's charge.

Pop it on, pick it off - no fuss, no worn out cables and plugs.

Previous reviewers noted two problems that seem to have been largely overcome.

Charging iPhone 8 for 60 minutes, starting at about 30% charge, it went up by 37%, 27%, 32%, 46% so it is a bit variable but all good. You could charge it for two hours or three if you need more.
Comparison 1 hr by other means:
Belkin 12V AC adapter (car) 60%
Apple 5W AC adapter (came with the phone) 51%
Macbook Air via USB cable 57%
Power bank 4000mAh 10W No name brand 58%
So the pad is indeed slower than other chargers but perfectly satisfactory.

The top is rubberised, maybe even magnetic, and the phone sticks on tilted well past 45 degrees. There will be no problem with sliding off, now.

Highly recommended, specially if you have a couple of devices that can take turns on it.

    Worthwhile purchase

I own two of these. The separate plug-in cord disappears into the base, but the horizontal length of the charger could be shorter (it takes up the space of two sockets of a power strip).

The tiny green led light on the charging pad is very helpful in indicating when my iPhone X is placed correctly and charging (the light is strong enough to be seen in daylight, but weak enough to stay discrete at night). The iPhone X vibrates once and briefly shows the battery indicator when beginning to charge. The iPhone X also charges wirelessly through a thick cow-leather case while on the pad.

The inner rubber ring of the charging pad keeps the iPhone in place and prevents it from sliding on the pad. The pad is light-weight white plastic, nothing special to write home about: the top is matte, the bezel and sides are shiny. On my desk, the charger is usually not in use, therefore I appreciate that the white color blends in with the whiteness of the Ikea desk.

By the way, Belkin has nice and well-designed packaging.

    Useless for iPhone X

    Quite simply.....doesn’t work.
I called belkin support and they said the base needs to charge for 2-3 hrs!! And if that doesn’t work return for a replacement as it should work with iPhone X. It’s getting returned alright but I’ll never buy another belkin product again. Stay away...wait for Apple Air Power!

    Effective, user friendly wireless charging.

I tested this wireless charging base and the mophie. Both perform the same in my two weeks of testing, for the same price. There are limitations to the wireless technology, requiring specific (though not too specific) placement. But these reflect the state of the tech and are not a big deal—you get used to it, and wireless is far easier then fumbling with a cable.

I chose the Belkin over the mophie because the Belkin has an indicator light that clearly shows when the iPhone is placed well and charging. The mophie had a light, but very small and dim and hard to see. That is the only differentiatior to me.
