Don't waste your money. In Sept. 2018 I purchased a Morphie charger for my I-phone 8 Plus. It quit working about the first of March 2019 so has a life of less than 6 months. It's also much slower in charging your phone that an I-Phone USB jack.

    The best for iPhone.

    • Written by Brett R from Henderson

I’ve tried probably every wireless charger out there for my iPhone XR. This is the best built and most reliable. In my opinion. My second is the Belkin Boost UP SE. Belkins build was questionable.

    Poor Product

    • Written by Reed M from Minneapolis

So, I am returning this. Over less than a month it has become harder and harder to position the phone so it charges and then all the sudden in stopped charging at all. can't get the green battery to show up for a second. My wife bought one too and it is showing the same symptoms. I see a number of other reviewers with the same comments.

Lighting cords are becoming increasingly poorly made and I go through them like they were bic pens that for some reason cost $25. A wireless charger seems like a great solution but this one seems to be made just as poorly, if not worse than the lightning cords.

May work great for some folks but the failure rate seems terrible.

Does not work with other wall ports.

    • Written by Emily M from Idalia

Hi, I’ve been using this for the last few months with no complaints other than sometimes it doesn’t recognize my phone when I place it down.
However, I needed a second USB port to charge my watch and so I replaced the wall port with a Comsole multiple USB pack. The power specs should be well and truely enough for the base but when it’s plugged in it doesn’t charge my phone and the light blinks continuously. I’ve read someone else having this problem also. So be warned, you may not be able to use this if you change the wall adapter.

    Good product

    • Written by Nobel N from Hamilton

I bought this charging base instead of Belkin because it is cheaper but the quality of material used was excellent. My phone case is a thin one and works well. The only flaws are the charging light is hard to notice, the phone needs to be centred for charging to work and the power adaptor is big.

    Works great

    • Written by Christian L from GOLETA

I bought this from Apple store when the X came out. Now using it with XS Max/ XR. No issues, no phones sliding off, and will charge using Apple's silicone case. Not sure what other people's problem with phones sliding off and not charging through Apple's own silicone cases, I'm not seeing that here with mine iPhonex.

The cable could be a little longer, but it does fit okay on a night stand.

Worked once after a lot of fiddling and moving my iphone Xs then never again. Don't buy it unless you want a glorified cup coaster that is magnetised.

    Really weird power plug design

    • Written by James A from Pascoe Vale

There was no need to put the power plug on an angle. It doesn’t fit next to most other plugs. No idea why they just didn’t do a USB C input and let us choose the adapter.

    Dead after 13 months

    • Written by Warren C from Wallingford

Charger that dies after 13 months, not so good for a name brand product.
Thankfully there is a 24 month warranty with Mophie so I'll have this replaced for just the cost of postage.

    Designed by morons

    • Written by Shayla S from Browns Plains

Whoever designed the plug needs to find a new job. On first glance it looks fine, til you go to plug it in and realise they've put the prongs on an angle so that you can't plug in anything next to it. Bloody idiots

Same device iPhone 7-8 buyer beware

    • Written by William R from Glen rock

I’m a loyal user of the Mophie juice pack I can’t live without it. When they went from I 7 to I 8 apple apparently certified the same model mophie with no changes even tho the size of the handset changed albeit a fraction of an inch they also put a glass back on the 8. So where as the Older models of juice pack for the older models of iPhones offered great protection against drops, cracked screens etc. what they didn’t anticipate was the glass back if you drop your phone you’re pretty much guaranteed to break the glass back. Most people won’t notice because who takes their phone out of the case on a regular basis no one I have now had to replace my i8 twice because of this I asked mophie why they certified a case that is a different size and their answer was it’s good enough for Apple it’s good enough for us. I have now had to replace my twice because of this I asked mophie why they certified a case that’s a different size and their answer was it’s good enough for Apple it’s good enough for us My theory Apple has their own case they were quick to certify mophie knowing there is going to be these issues so their case looks better I’m not sure about the overall stability of apples Charging Case as compared to mophie but is long as they’re going to build these phones with glass backs I have to look for a new charging case unless mophie takes the time like they used to and design the case per phone model.

    very good

    • Written by IRA B from NEW YORK

comparison between the mophie and the belkin boost up
    1. contact surface is stickier which prevents the phone from sliding (by vibration) out of the charging zone.
    2. costs $ 20 less but $ 10 more then cost on amazon.
    3. diameter is about the same.
    4. placement on the charging zone about the same
    5. faster charging. but both charge slower than wired.
    6. both charge with case.
    con
    2. dim and poorly placed 'charging' led light. should have been designed to shut off after full charge.

Not as fast as Belkin I

    • Written by Gio G from London

Have both the Belkin boost up and the Mophie base. I find the Belkin one to charger faster, and less room for error when placing phone on Matt. I've come back to my phone on the Mophie appwith no charge on my phone as it was slightly off centered.

    Worst designed power plug ever

    • Written by Nico H from Ashfield

The "quirky" design of the power plug means it's nearly impossible to plug it in a socket with other power plugs. It's also not a USB power plug, so you can't swap it out with something else. It also has a helpful green indicator light that decides to start flashing in the middle of the night. Don't buy this.

    Better than expected

    • Written by James M from Kennesaw

I bought two of these since Apple dropped the price. My wife and I both have iPhone 8’s and this charger fits perfectly on our night stands. They are easy to set up and have charged our phones without a problem every night since I bought them. We are buying two more for our daughter and son in law for their phones.

    Great Product-Completely satisfied

    • Written by Peter J L from Jacksonville

I am not sure why there are negative comments. This product works as it is intended. It couldn't be more simple to use. I'm using it with my Xs which is covered with an Apple silicone case. A small green light lets me know it's charging and it seems to charge quickly. I've had no issues with finicky placement, etc. It offers more convenience than the lightning cable. Glad I purchased it.

Good build quality and it works well, but...

    • Written by James B from Pacific Pines

... it's let down by a silly design flaw. In an obvious case of form over function someone thought that it'd look good if they had the square transformer part of the plug twisted at 45° to the pins part of the plug. This means that the now diamond shaped top of the plug is too wide for most standard Australian 4-way power strips :(

Apart from that, it functions well and charges my iPhone 8 Plus even through a Spigen case which has two credit cards in it. If it wasn't for the design flaw I'd give this 5 stars.
