    Designed by morons

    • Written by Shayla S from Browns Plains

Whoever designed the plug needs to find a new job. On first glance it looks fine, til you go to plug it in and realise they've put the prongs on an angle so that you can't plug in anything next to it. Bloody idiots

Same device iPhone 7-8 buyer beware

    • Written by William R from Glen rock

I’m a loyal user of the Mophie juice pack I can’t live without it. When they went from I 7 to I 8 apple apparently certified the same model mophie with no changes even tho the size of the handset changed albeit a fraction of an inch they also put a glass back on the 8. So where as the Older models of juice pack for the older models of iPhones offered great protection against drops, cracked screens etc. what they didn’t anticipate was the glass back if you drop your phone you’re pretty much guaranteed to break the glass back. Most people won’t notice because who takes their phone out of the case on a regular basis no one I have now had to replace my i8 twice because of this I asked mophie why they certified a case that is a different size and their answer was it’s good enough for Apple it’s good enough for us. I have now had to replace my twice because of this I asked mophie why they certified a case that’s a different size and their answer was it’s good enough for Apple it’s good enough for us My theory Apple has their own case they were quick to certify mophie knowing there is going to be these issues so their case looks better I’m not sure about the overall stability of apples Charging Case as compared to mophie but is long as they’re going to build these phones with glass backs I have to look for a new charging case unless mophie takes the time like they used to and design the case per phone model.

    very good

comparison between the mophie and the belkin boost up
    1. contact surface is stickier which prevents the phone from sliding (by vibration) out of the charging zone.
    2. costs $ 20 less but $ 10 more then cost on amazon.
    3. diameter is about the same.
    4. placement on the charging zone about the same
    5. faster charging. but both charge slower than wired.
    6. both charge with case.
    2. dim and poorly placed 'charging' led light. should have been designed to shut off after full charge.

Not as fast as Belkin I

    • Written by Gio G from London

Have both the Belkin boost up and the Mophie base. I find the Belkin one to charger faster, and less room for error when placing phone on Matt. I've come back to my phone on the Mophie appwith no charge on my phone as it was slightly off centered.

    Worst designed power plug ever

    • Written by Nico H from Ashfield

The "quirky" design of the power plug means it's nearly impossible to plug it in a socket with other power plugs. It's also not a USB power plug, so you can't swap it out with something else. It also has a helpful green indicator light that decides to start flashing in the middle of the night. Don't buy this.

Absolute waste of money. Doesn’t charge my phone at all. It gets the charging symbol but after leaving it all night my phone is at 1%

    Better than expected

    • Written by James M from Kennesaw

I bought two of these since Apple dropped the price. My wife and I both have iPhone 8’s and this charger fits perfectly on our night stands. They are easy to set up and have charged our phones without a problem every night since I bought them. We are buying two more for our daughter and son in law for their phones.

    Great Product-Completely satisfied

    • Written by Peter J L from Jacksonville

I am not sure why there are negative comments. This product works as it is intended. It couldn't be more simple to use. I'm using it with my Xs which is covered with an Apple silicone case. A small green light lets me know it's charging and it seems to charge quickly. I've had no issues with finicky placement, etc. It offers more convenience than the lightning cable. Glad I purchased it.

Good build quality and it works well, but...

    • Written by James B from Pacific Pines

... it's let down by a silly design flaw. In an obvious case of form over function someone thought that it'd look good if they had the square transformer part of the plug twisted at 45° to the pins part of the plug. This means that the now diamond shaped top of the plug is too wide for most standard Australian 4-way power strips :(

Apart from that, it functions well and charges my iPhone 8 Plus even through a Spigen case which has two credit cards in it. If it wasn't for the design flaw I'd give this 5 stars.

    Worked for one month

    • Written by Ruth C D from Camden

Bought after seeing my friend use one. Mine quit working after one month so I got a replacement. My iPhone 8 Plus will charge ok for a week or so but then quits charging so I have to power off my phone so the Mophie will work again for awhile. A lot of hassle so I just use my charging cord that came with my phone. Wasted my money. Would not recommend to a friend.

Doesn't work if you have a case on it or if it isn't in just the right spot.
Once you have it there, it does charge quickly.
I would not recommend this item.

    Works great.

It's only been a few weeks since I've had it, but this wireless charger works great on my 10S Max. I love the convenience and I've had no problems with it. All the bad usage reviews are user errors to me. At $40 and approved by Apple, it's the way to go.

    Terrible Charger

    • Written by Brandon P from Atlanta

Barely works in the Apple's own silicone case, and you have to find the exact sweet spot. Almost every other wireless charger I've used is better than this, including the $15 one from Ikea, Buy the Belkin if you are getting one from the apple store.

    great invention but horrible product

    • Written by Rivlyn N from Singapore

not sure why there seems to be mixed reviews, maybe some batches of this charger works extremely well and they slacked on the production.

i bought 2 of these for my 2 phones at home that could support wireless charging. firstly when the charger works, it charges super duper slowly, even slower than the iphone charger my iphone x came with. when the charger doesn't work, IT COULDNT EVEN CHARGE 1%. it literally stops and fails the moment it tries to even charge 1%. i'm not sure why i even invested in this for convenience when a simple plugging in and out of the iphone cable can get the job done so much faster, and at least i have confidence in iphone chargers.

am honestly quite disappointed in this, the only 1 star it gets is because of its sleek appearance.

    Bad product

    • Written by Debra T from Los Angeles

BAD. Never worked consistently, and after 4 months stopped working altogether. Would advise anyone NOT to buy it, even though Apple, Verizon, etc salespeople make it sound mandatory.
