    Quality is appalling

    All I can say is these are the worst headphones I have ever bought. This is why:

    - They don’t work in Asian climates or hot weather as they stop working in the sun. I live in Hong a long and when the sun shines these stop working. They must have temperature throttling so they simply turn off. You can’t use them to listen round the pool or hiking.
    - Connectivity is poor. Compared to AirPods the Bluetooth chipset is terrible. Drops connection all of the time. I found it helps if you move your phone from the rear to front pocket. Come on.
    - Quality. Just took these out of the cupboard as I have not used them for a couple of months. Charged them up and the left unit does not connect at all.

    To be objective- good points:
    - Sound quality is very good.
    - Good water resistance.

    This is my second pair of BOSE wireless sports headphones. They are generally poor.

    DONT buy these

    Connectivity issues are a huge problem. Even with little or no interference the left ear consistently drops out. My son bought a pair of 40 dollar buds that are better than these

    Absolutely useless a shame on a proud headphone heritage

    These headsets are sold in the Middle East but what you are not told is that as soon you wear them outside where the temperature is over 38 degrees C, the headphone conk out. This doesn’t happen to apple air loss or the previous generation called the Sports Headset. I don’t even know why they are called sweat resistant and marketed as sports headphone when clearly they do meet up to the needs of active wear. Am just waiting till I see my kids or my wife and give it to them, bite the bullet and buy the AirPods or the B&O headsets. I haven’t regretted wasting $200 so much.

    Always A Problem

    I’ve owned these for over a year now and as much as I’ve wanted to like them, because of other Bose products I’ve owned, I’m totally frustrated and disappointed with these earbuds. The problems have ranged from randomly dropping the Bluetooth connection, to loosing sound in just one earbud (usually the left one), to all of the sudden going from music to a piercing screeching noise. The inconsistency rate of the Soundsport is so great that instead of enjoying my music on them I’m actively listening for them to fail. I’m hoping there’s a software fix, or I can get a refund.

    Don't buy Bose® SoundSport® Free Wireless Headphones

    1. Audio & video not synchronised. Very high latency across ALL iOS devices. I tried my Bose Soundsport Free Wireless Headphone on iPad Pro 2018, iPad 2017, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhine Xr. It's a fail for all.
    2. Tried Bose firmware updater on computer. Tried resetting on Bose Soundsport Free Wireless Headphone. The high latency issue persists.
    3. High latency issue occurs on Youtube App, Facebook video, Instagram video, iQiyi streaming app and so on. There is 0 latency on Netflix or browser though.
    4. This issue has been found since 2017 and yet it is still not fixed. Reports of cases can be found all over the place. Bose refuses to acknowledge that this issue will not fixed but having all consumers wasting their efforts to finding a solution.

    BUYER BEWARE

    2 sets of headphones and $360 later still not working. Left earbud not connecting. I've wasted countless hours trying to turn off turn on, disconnect, reinstall, etc.....it's a very annoying and frustrating experience and BOSE should simply take the product off the shelf and return everyones money. It's clear that many people have this issue.

    Why on earth would ANYONE spend premium $$ for a clearly inferior product.
    I would recommend NOT buying BOSE anymore. About to leave on holidays and now no music.

    Not the Bose standard

    I bought this product in February (I know, awhile ago), so I do not know if something has changed since then, but it did not work for me at all. I have a few regular Bose earphones and they all work great so I wanted to try this wireless model. Immediately after I put it in my ears and started walking, the left one dropped out and would not start again until I reset it. It kept happening over the next two days so I thought it is just a faulty pair (it happens) so I exchanged it for a new one. The same thing kept happening and I noticed I was avoiding using them so I returned them and asked for my money back (which Apple people had done nicely).

    I really like Bose and I really need a pair of sport wireless earphones so I am hoping that you guys will make something like this soon. Just, please, first make sure it works.

    Do not buy

    Dropping of left earbud happens on a regular basis and simply not acceptable for a 200$ product. @Bose: Improve the product and replace without charge. That is what I would expect.

    Don't buy

    I had a pair of these for about a week before exchanging for AirPods. The huge problem with them is that that the left ear is a slave to the right and it keeps disconnecting. So much so that it got to every 1 or 2 seconds. I broached it with Bose support, did a firmware update, but only slightly better. They then told me they could be exchanged which would take 2 weeks, bearing in mind I had only had them 5 days I was not impressed. The disconnection issue is a known problem in you Google it, I told this to Bose and it was explained they are still in BETA!! I have the transcript of the conversation from them. Exchanged them for Airpods and love them. More comfortable and I cant tell the difference in sound. Not great from Bose at all.

    BOSE had one job. BOSE failed. BOSE still released this product.

    There is a full 1 second delay from the video you're watching until the sound hits the buds.

    - The APP doesn't matter:
    Netflix, Amazon PrimeVideo, Hulu, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc

    - The DEVICE doesn't matter: iPhone, iPad, Samsung TVs, Precor Treadmills & Exercise Bikes, Amazon Tablets, etc.

    - The DISTANCE doesn't matter: 6 inches, 1 foot, 3 feet, 6 feet, 15 feet, 20 feet

    BOSE customer support promised the firmware update 1.3.2 was designed to fix this issue. After it didn't, they then admitted it was an oversight in a rush to release the product. 10 years ago we only listened to music. Now we watch video, and listen to music.

    Can you say monaural?

    The left earbud routinely drops signal, which is tolerable for podcasts, not so much for music.
    The buttons are impossible wearing gloves, with bare fingers they're still finicky.
    Without the left side, phone calls are also difficult to hear clearly.
    Returning this Christmas gift this week, and resuming use of wired SoundSport earbuds, which get five stars from me for running.

    Total garbage. One of the worst Bose products yet - Do not buy!

    Why I keep going back to Bose products I have no idea. Bought these to replace Apple Air Pods because they would not stay in my ears. I wanted to use to work out on my Peloton bike. These do stay in the ear but they take almost 2 hours to update with new firmware and they will not sync or stay connected to a Peloton Bike which uses an Android platform tablet. The app Bose uses Connect is horrible and these look stupid in your ear almost like you are wearing a headset. The design of these is horrible and the volume buttons and bluetooth sync button are hard to press and in the wrong spots. All around these are one of the worst products to come out of Bose in years similar to the Sound Touch products that I returned. Do not buy these, you will be wasting your time and money! I returned immediately.

    Not worth it!!!

    Cons:
    Audio and video out of sync when played in Youtube app in a iPhone.
    Left earbud dropout connection all the time!!!, it is worse if used with an Apple Watch.
    Extremely low quality audio with calls, and the audio sounds only in the right earbud.

    Pros:
    Very good audio quality when playing music

    Too many issues for a high end product like this. Not worth it.

    Bose Soundsport Free

    Great sound but very disappointed with the connection. Left unit continually drops sync needing a reset. They also seem to have a problem with video/sound sync, the sound lagging behind the video. I found them to be quite large. For the high price, I did expect better. I returned them.

    Connectivity Issues Make These Next to Useless

    These could not maintain a steady connection to my phone or to my watch. On even short jogs, the left ear bud lost connectivity dozens of times, while the right lost its connections several times. I found that i needed to hold my phone/watch near my chest and keep my head looking straight ahead to keep a connection. Any slight deviation caused the connection to be lost. I attempted to trouble shoot, installed the latest firmware, and still could not get these to work. Was very disappointed.

    Not ready for prime time

    Please do your research before buying. These wireless earbuds have 2 firmware that have not been resolved. 1. Sound vs video playback go out of sync using the YouTube mobile app. 2. The left earbud has intermittent drop outs (I.e. loss of sound). I took these back right away. These should have been show stoppers to postpone their launch. I’m not sure what Bose is thinking. Sound is great, but absolutely useless with these defects.

    Very bad connection performance

    I had high hopes for these as an alternative to AirPods. Their functionality is so poor however due to flaky connection between the two buds (the right one Is the master).

    Good
    - sound quality
    - secure fit. Although they get a little uncomfortable after a while
    - they look so much better than AirPods
    - initial connection to device is easy

    Bad
    - when in motion (walking) I experienced constant lost connection between the left and right buds and numerous disconnection from my iPhone as well. They’re ok when not in motion but useless due to the drop outs. Did a firmware upgrade and tested on another walk and experienced slightly better connection to the phone but still constant loss of connection between the right and left buds.

    I’ll be returning them and trying the AirPods.
