    Extremely simple setup and use

    This router is so far the best I’ve owned. It was super easy set up and easy to manage. Right from the start, Netflix and Amazon started loading much faster than usual. Overall WiFi speed has been faster on all devices.

    From Apple Airport to Linksys Velop

    I recently purchased the Velop to upgrade from the Apple AirPort Extreme as it is no longer supported. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the setup process was. Overall performance and range was definitely an upgrade. I saw 50% faster WiFi speeds to my iPhone instantly and much quicker response time on WiFi printing. I would recommend the Velop to anyone who asks!

    INCREDIBLE!

    We have a slower internet connect at 20mbps so we can avoid giving money to Comcast. When we moved from our Apple Airport router to this mesh network router I was expecting a tiny boost in speed, but was shocked to find that it almost felt like we upgraded to cable internet. Its significantly faster allowing me to play games on my PS4 online while me boyfriend was streaming video and our iPhones were updating their iOS at the same time with no lag on any of the devices. Also, living in an apartment complex, I love being able to see all the devices connected via my app to ensure no one is stealing wifi and giving me the option to lock specific devices out permanently if they try feed off our wifi. Lastly, the app allows you to prioritize certain devices so that important tech like an apple tv device won't be slowed down if you are also browsing through apps on your phone while watching tv.

    BEST router

    This router hands down really does the trick. My WiFi coverage is at 100% of my condo. Also the speed is excellent.

    Great Router

    I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of setting up the routers and my new network app. The iOS app is great and makes things very easy. The app doesn’t show you the signal strength between the routers though...seems to be a miss and an easy fix should Linksys choose to update the app. The only issue I ran into was with my Ring Pro doorbell...it has issues with mesh networks so I was forced to break apart the mesh and create unique SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 ghz. Ring says they sell a Chime Pro which is a 2.4 ghz extender....so another $50 to fix the issue but at last I’ll have great WiFi one I put the mesh back together.

    Complete waste of money

    Easy to set up but completely useless. I bought this because I found my Spectrum WiFi to not be very reliable and fast - and I would often not get signal in my bedroom (note: I live in Manhattan and apartments are not that big to begin with). This did not change anything to my situation. The WiFi is still not that great even when sitting next to it and I still don’t get signal in my room half of the time. Whether it’s on my computer or my computer or my phone or my tablet I did not see a difference. Very disappointed...

    Not only is it ugly it only has one ethernet socket, No good to me.
    The Apple router is much better, why have they stoped making it?

    Best Router I Have Ever Owned

    I saw an add for this router and decided to take a closer look as I was looking for a better option than the AirPort Extreme with an Airport Extender. I liked what I saw and placed an order at the on-line Apple Store. An hour or so later I drove to the local Apple Store and picked it up. The installation was a snap. I have never experienced a router installation that was so simple, well engineered and documented. An immediate WIFI speed increase was noticed. Now, as I explore the included networking app, I find more features that I was not aware of before. And the app is a great network management solution. The range of the Linksys is greater that whet I had with the AirPort Extreme and extender. Couldn't be happier!

    Constant Problems

    I purchased this router last October to replace an Airport Extreme that I had never had a single problem with. I wanted to replace the Extreme because Apple was no longer going to support the product. Initially I had no issues with the router but for devices that only work with 2.4 GHz network, this router presents a challenge because it seeks out the best channels automatically and the product loses functionality if you create different networks. When attempting to get my FitBit Scale connected, I called Tech Support and was walked through an extremely complicated process that ultimately did not result in success with getting the scale connected. The scale worked fine with the Airport Extreme but I have not been able to get it to work with the Velop. I also experienced slow speeds with my ISP which is 100mbps service. The router was throttling back my speeds to 10mbps. I had my ISP come out to check their connect and the speeds were in the 90's for both upload and download without the router. The technician indicated that there was something wrong with the actual router itself. He brought up one of the routers they used and the speed was as advertised for my service. I should note that I live in a high-rise and this is digital service.

    I called Linksys Tech Support and spent two hours on the phone doing a reset and going through tests that all resulted in the same failure only now, my connection was only intermittent. After 3 hours, they agreed to send out a replacement which did not ship out until two days later and that will not arrive until 5 days from now making it a 9 day window. In the meantime, I have poor to no connectivity which is very disturbing given the fact that I work from home when not traveling.

    I really wish Apple would bring back the Airport Extreme. My experience with the Linksys product has been very poor.
