    Not a very durable product

    • Written by ANTHONY I from Tamarac

The case offers god phone protection when used with a tempered glass shield but it takes a long time to charge and really needs to be charged separately. It also needs to be charged from an iPad charger or it will take forever.
The silicone covering peels off from just pocket use. I am VERY disappointed in the value for money. At $99 I think I have a right to expect that it will last longer than a few months before it looks like a thrift shop special.

My advice is get your accessories from aftermarket suppliers. They have to make a good product to stay in business.

Does not accept Bose headphone jack

    • Written by Ed M from Haslemere

I only just fitted this case and can confirm it feels really nice, fits well, and immediately started to charge the phone.

Sadly, I have three pairs of different Bose headphones, all bought from Apple stores, and none of them fit through the hole in the bottom of the case. This is a serious flaw and a massive disappointment.

My Bowers and Wilkins headphones do fit.

    Is it real Apple's product?

    • Written by Maciej W from Glendale

This is the ugliest case, which whenever I had. I didn't believe that Apple made something like this. It attracts all dust from my pockets and it is hard to clean. I hate that this cover cover my volume and power buttons by rubber. But it fulfills its fundamental function, it keep my iPhone on all day without additional charging.

    Limited lifetime

    • Written by BRUCE D from tecumseh

We purchased two of these for our iPhones. While they have kept the phones charged, the silicone has delaminated and both cases now look like garbage after six months (they were bought at Christmas). If you like your phone to appear tidy and fresh, I don’t recommend this product. Mophie has sent free replacements for cracked products on previous phones, Apple will just sell us a new battery case at full cost. Look elsewhere. Y

Great idea, but poor choice of material and design

    • Written by Anthony H from Ridgeway

The case is a nice idea, but the silicone material attracts oil and dirt too easily. My Smart Batter case for my iPhone 7 has ripped at the top where the silicone material is too thin. The case simply is not durable enough to last more than a year. I expected more durability for a case that costs $99.

    Throwaway case, good when working.

    • Written by Matthew M from Suwanee

Pros: More than doubles the battery of your 6. Integrates with the iOS so you can see how much life you have left on the case and phone. Lightning connector.

CONS: Mine died after 4 months with no abuse, no water. Apple overnighted me another since I was leaving for a trip (very nice). That was 14 months ago. The new one has also died. But besides two failing in 1.5 years there are other problems. It keeps your phone fully charged at all times, which if you know anything about lithium ion batteries, destroys the life of your phone. The silicone rubs off from normal wear. The headphone jack is deep and narrow, so you're limited in selection of headphones.

All in all, these are great when they work, but I wouldn't put them on a new phone. Use these to keep alive a failing battery in a phone and then throw them away when you get a new phone 8 months later.

    Was wonderful...

    • Written by Bryan D from Cordova

I have enjoyed the case for about 6 months. It is lighter than others. I have had a few different ones and by far this one was the best for the first 6 months. Lately I have been plugging it in at night and waking up with the phone charged and the battery pack not. Also a huge issue is that the rubber on the case it tearing all around the edges and the back of the phone. Hopefully the next version will last longer and be more durable.

Functionally Good - But not Durable

    • Written by MARK F from MCMAHONS POINT

I'm quite happy with the size, battery life and ease of fitting and removing for this product. However, I'm on my second one now and neither has lasted longer than a year. In both, the thinner rubber around the holes for the button has worn and fallen off looking rubbishy and not holding the phone as securely as when purchased.

    Good case at first

    • Written by GARETH C from Rooty Hill

When I bought this a few weeks ago it was great, the battery life was fantastic. Now, a few weeks later the battery life is still great however it doesn't detect when it's been plugged in too well. I'll plug it in for charging and every time I move it it will vibrate as if it's been unplugged and plugged in. Now it will just do that randomly without even being moved. I've tried 4 different cables and using my Macbook Pro or a normal PC and it's the same issue.

It's still great for battery life, but it's just a shame the connections die that quickly, it gets frustrating charging at work and having your desk vibrate every minute or 2 to say "oh look at me!"

    totally disappointed

    • Written by Yai Fung C from Quincy

The case works fine to extend the battery. But unfortunately the soft rubber material is a dust magnetic. every time I take it out of my pocket I have to dust it off. Its beyond annoying. I went back to my mophie juck pack. This is collecting dust in the corner. What a waste of money.

    Far Below Apple Quality Standards

    • Written by ClarissanDave W from North York

I do not recommend this battery case. I ignored all the negative reviews and bought this case anyway because it's Apple, right? Initially I loved its functionality, integration with iOS, silicone skin and design. However, after just over two weeks it stopped charging my iPhone, which is its primary purpose. I took it back to the Apple Store and they happily exchanged it for a new one no questions asked, as is typical of Apple's customer service. The second one lasted nearly a month before the same thing happened again! I took it back again, but instead of prudently asking for a refund, I decided to get a third one. This one has lasted six months, but it too has stopped working. Add to that, the silicone I once admired is peeling off, and the top left side of the case has all but entirely ripped off, so I doubt Apple would take this one back. My money has been wasted as it is now useless. Definitely does not meet Apple's normally pristine quality standards, despite my initial positive impression.

    Poor quality

    • Written by Panda B from Sta.Rosa

at first when i first got it i say woah the surface is smooth then after 2 weeks the silicone starts to peel off in every 4 corners then it became very stick y when im using it but when i don't use it for about 30 minutes it becomes oily im sick of it when i put it down i always put the phone with the screen facing down the table just to save the case from absorbing all the lints! sick of it. very time it absorbs lint. besides the case is hard to clean. and removing lint is like removing a dirt from a scotch tape and this product doesn't deserve its price. besides the case discharging so fast like i'm not using it but it discharged 10% the whole night and the material too is so poor its peels of each of the four corner. everytime i look at it it feels that this case is just a cheap one!

Works, but it's just not for me

    • Written by Oskari G from London

While the case works very well, and the iOS integration is quite swell, this is just too much of an inconvenience for what is honestly a problem with the iPhone itself. The hump doesn't sit well in my hand, it pretty much doubles the weight of the phone, and adds almost an inch of length at the bottom. The headphone jack doesn't fit any other headphones than the Apple ones, and the jack feels very uncomfortable against my pinky. The bezel around the phone is also a lot thicker than with the normal silicone case. Overall it just makes the phone very bulky and hard to get a proper grip on. A better internal battery would have been preferable, but this is going back to the store.

cant use your headset when the case is on.. IPHONE 7

    • Written by DOUGLAS H from MODESTO

SERIOUSLY APPLE? I cant believe that you design a $100 case to charge the iphone 7 and cant use a set of headphone when the case is on the phone? The iphone 7 has no headset jack so the apple adapter has to be used for headphones. When the Stupid/Smart case is on the phone, the cases power port wont support apple headphones. Apples solution was to buy some blue tooth head phones! THANKS APPLE
