Can't use them for working out or work

First off I have an IPhone X so its not an old equipment problem. They shut off every 5 to 10 minutes. So you have to pair them every 5-10 min. And then half the time they wont pair at all. W1 chip is all BS. Can i please have a headphone jack? Your wireless products just dont work!!!

Headphones have major issues with sweat resistance

I've gone through 5 sets of these headphones all from warranty replacements. I only use these headphones when working out and they don't last for long. You would think that with the price point of these headphones that they would have good sweat resistance but no!

Now I am out of warranty and have an expensive paper weight. Thanks Apple!

    POS

Wore these buds 5x and let my daughter borrow on vacation for a run. They acted up then and after one more run completely stopped working! Less than 10 wears for a hefty price tag!! NOT a workout bud. This should be an embarrassment to Dr Dre and ESPECIALLY Apple!! NEVER again!!

    Avoid Powerbests3

I have Powerbeats2 and Powerbeats3. I have replaced my Powerbeats2 1 time and am now going on my 5 replacement of the Powerbeats3. Furthermore, the Powerbeats2 sound much better than the Powerbeats3. I'm under the impression the 3rd generation uses cheaper parts.

On my 3rd pair due to the same issues

I really like the fit and sound, my issue comes when they just stop working. Don't know if it's the battery or what, but some time between 2 week and 2 months is all I can get out of my last 3 pair. Apple has been good about replacing them, but the process is painful...store lines are terrible, but waiting for them to be shipped leaves you waiting without a functional headset. Bummer

    Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones

I actually really like the PB3 wireless earphones However, I have experienced the same problem with moisture. Mine would also shut off and not come back on or recharge after some use (due to moisture). So I'm thinking I gotta figure this out because this is my second set (mailed back the first set for the same reason). How do I get the moisture out? Pack them in salt or rice? Throw them in my freezer, microwave, air fryer, oven or instant pot? Nope, I threw those suckers into my Open Country food dehydrator, turned on the temp to 105 degrees (keeping the temp low) and let them dry for about 45 minutes to an hour. And bada bing! I plugged them into the charger, the red charge light came back on, then the white light, then they fully recharged and are now working again!

    Dissapointing

My Powerbeats 3 stopped working after about 3 runs and a handful of charges. Also, the on/off button is so small that it is unreliable and the micro USB socket is now left completely exposed to the elements without a cover. Given the price of these earphones, and the expectations set by the advertising and the Apple brand, this product is a huge disappointment.

The ear pods keep falling off of my ear

Is there a way in which I can securely mount the ear pods into my ears? When I do sit ups they keep falling off. Also, even when I run they are not secure (I used the largest pods).

    Garbage - do not buy

As many people here have commented, these are NOT SWEAT PROOF... I've also had the same problem with the 2nd generation before these. Worked for a few months and then complete shutdown. Apple service is also terrible - cannot believe these items cannot be replaced/repaired in store.

    Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

NOT Sweat resistant - Worst headphones ever - Worse customer service

I bought Beats solo 3 in November, I ran three times with them, each run was 4 miles. Two months after purchase one side stopped working completely. I read online that this has been a problem with thousands of users. I wish I knew this before I paid 230 USD in a garbage product.
    DO NOT BUY THESE.
IT is shameful since I have at least 10 other apple products, but now after my first interaction with their support, I hate this company.

    Not sweat resistant

I literally having been reading about this by multiple people and my situation is spot on. I start working out, and I sweat like everybody that works out does. And my headphones disconnected trying to reconnect right away they would blink white and nothing would happen. My other wireless beats version 2 lasted way longer then this. And you cannot honestly advertise “ you’re free to push through the most challenging workouts. Sweat and water resistant provides the necessary durability for strenuous workouts and weather.” That literally is from your website about the product. That’s a bold out right lie, and to try and blame the customers because people sweat different. The customer is buying your product because an advertisement claiming it does something it doesn’t.

    Not sweat resistant

I've had my Powerbeats 3 for a few months now and it was not until I've begun to workout that I've had a problem. Almost every workout they will just turn off after about 30 minutes and I was unsure why. It was not until I began reading reviews did I realize that my sweat was causing them to turn off. I have switched back to a cheap wired connection headphone for working out and am in the process of looking for a different workout brand.

Zero Complaints, Impressive every time I use them

I use my Powerbeats 3 every single day. For music, usability, durability, and compatibility, I have found that these earphones excel in every way. Every time I use them I am impressed with the astonoshing bass, clear crisp highs, and noise reduction. I use these to go running with, and they stay in nicely, no complaints there. They connect quickly and automatically when I turn them on and I don't need to be near my phone to play the music I want, they are nicely compatible. I have dropped them a few tines and wear them every day and there aren't even scratches or dents noticeable. They look very nice as well. Overall they are perfect, I have been a long time user of power beats and probably will be for ever.

    Powerbeats3 are straight GARBAGE

Never had an issue with a product costing this amount. First pair I got, power would never turn back on so after called, they sent me a new pair since under warranty. Got new pair, many malfunctioning issues, volume button kept automatically turning down, it was like a tug of war. Smh. So called and after 20 mins of no real service, they kept offering me to send in to repair. I told them I don’t want these at all... So after I finally agreed to send them in the lady said they weren’t covered now under warranty. If I wanted them repaired $99 more. I wouldn’t pay 1 more cent to repair these. I would never buy these. They said sweat and water can damage. Why you have an athlete whom I’m sure sweats profoundly advertising. These are not built for any type of working out “false advertising “ on their end and these are straight up junk. Makes me not want to ever buy another Apple product again. I own many Macs over the years and even mentioned that I’m a long time Apple customer, very vested in their product. But people please mark my words because I’m usually last one to ever complain but these are junk!!!

    NOT SWEAT RESISTANT

3rd time I had to send in my powerbeats3s to get repaired (after long heated discussions with apple to honor the 1-year guarantee). These headphones are not sweat resistant at all, and the control panel with short with even the smallest bit of sweat. It is false advertising to sell these as workout "sweat resistant" headphones. I demand a recall or refund for myself and others who were duped into purchasing this deceiving product.

    Poor durability

This is in review to durability over just a year. The volume controller casing came off I don’t know how but it did and it made the earbuds useless.. paid 180 for this and to have to throw it away. Not a good look Apple I want my money back

    Highly disappointed

I wouldn’t recommend Power Beats 3 to my worst enemy. I’m so disappointed with the 3 series. I wish I would have kept my Power Beats 2. I’ve replaced these headphones 5 times within a 12 month period. Clearly they are not sweat proof and I take excellent care of all of my apple products. They stop charging or stop coming on. Today made my 6th replacement, thank God for my warranty and that’s the only reason I continue to use them.

    Great Headphones

I was shocked to read some of the comments because I love my beats! I got them free when I bought my laptop a year ago. They work great when I work out, when I'm cleaning or hanging out. I've never had any issues with the sound quality or getting sweat on them.

    Generation 2 is far superior

All of this information is covered in previous reviews but I felt it would be helpful to potential buyers to chime in. The only reason to buy generation 3 is if 12 hr battery life is a priority for you. The 6+ hr life on the G2 was sufficient for my workouts. The sound quality and volume on the G2 headphones is far superior. I also find the G2 to be better fitting to the ear and more rugged than the "update". This is a small feature but the G3 comes with a different case that doesn't close - I live near the beach and my G2s stayed clean for years - where as my G3s were constantly sandy. The G3 headphones are not as robust and are not worth the investment. Buy G2 powerbeats on clearance until apple fixes these issues. I am going back to G2.
