    Great product, abysmal design

    • Written by Juan E

Alright, I really wanted to leave a good review on Beats for once. I have been using their wireless Powerbeats products for a while now, and can ensure they are to regular earphones what a cappuccino handmade in Italy is to gas station drip coffee. I love the sound and love the fit, all the more reason why I am so disappointed when they KEEP BREAKING DOWN. Anything and everything can and will either mess with the circuits, the volume control, the ability to turn them off, or their overall integrity itself. These things literally fall to pieces in front of your eyes, even when you take the extra care to clean them and put them back in the case after every use. Unless you are a neatfreak willing to dry them with a paper towel during every workout and store them in a glass display under lock and key once you get home, I recommend against buying this, you're maybe getting six to eight months of use if you really try. But darn it those are some months of amazing music.

    Broken after six months

    • Written by Andrew R

The sounds quality of these headphones is what you expect. the problem is 6 months after purchasing my headphones would turn off during work out. at first it was about 20 minutes into my work out and i would get by. it progressively got worst with time and would turn off about 5 minutes into my work out before i would really start sweating. Unfortunately for me by the time this happened it was out of coverage. these headphones are advertised to be worked out with and it is really disappointing they didnt last longer than 6 months. i will purchase other products in the future

    Uncomfortable and unreliable

    • Written by Ali Y

Please note that this website shows the highest reviews first, and puts the lowest reviews on the 12th page of reviews. These are so uncomfortable and I can't get them to fit over my ears if my life depended on it. Get another product

Sound is great, build is terrible

    • Written by Laura R

The sound is by far, the best. These are made very cheap though and do not last. I have had 4 pairs of the PowerBeats Wireless and the never last past 9 months without falling apart. Warranty never covers replacements because they consider it general wear. Coatings coming off, wires being exposed, and tearing of materials when the item is very carefully taken care of is not general wear. Greatly disappointed in the quality of materials used.

    Fantastic Improvement

    • Written by Stephen M

I had the PowerBeat 2 and they were terrible, not in the least bit sweat resistant and poor connection leading to them stopping working completely within a month for anyone who actually breaks a sweat. However...The PowerBear 3 what a fantastic improvement, 6 months on still working as new great sound quality at a level which is to be expected from a set of earphones for sport. Definitely resistant to sweat etc..and work everywhere from gym workouts to long runs in the heat.....excellent battery life and comfy. Credit where it is due, well done.

    Poorly Constructed

    • Written by Joel F

It worked great... while it lasted. Used only for 9 months before it exploded in a sharp electronic garble and then refused to charge. It's now perpetually displaying a solid red light, and refuses to turn on.

    Terrible headphones

    • Written by Darren K

I have had nothing but problems since i bought these. After the first month I had to get a replacement pair as they wouldn't hold a charge at all. 2 months after this they have the same problem because the charging port doesn't have a covering making these "sweat proof" headphones absolutely useless. No they won't connect to any device via bluetooth. This is the 2nd time i have had issues with beats headphones (I previously had over-ear beats solos). 100% will never buy a beats by dre product again.

The worse apple product so far

    • Written by Cristianm G from Coral Springs

I had 2 replacements for battery issue and finally my PowerBeats3 is dead and out of warranty. I have another pair with volume damage. The worse product I bought. This product is not sweat proof as apple advertised. Very disappointed.

    Horribly uncomfortable

    • Written by Morgan S from Westfield

I got these for free with the student Macbook discount but almost wish I got nothing at all. The sound quality is mediocre at best, but the real issue is the earbuds themselves. My god. I can't wear them for half an hour without wincing. A child could've engineered a more well-structured and better fitting product. None of the earbud sizes are any more comfortable either. Ouch.

Disappointing product from Apple, not built with the quality you would expect when your paying for a premium product. Have burned through 3 pairs now.

    Battery Life

    • Written by Camila S

The advertised 12-hour battery life is ultimately what sold me when choosing a pair of headphone for the gym. I bought the wireless Powerbeats3 a few months ago but the battery barely lasts an hour and a half on a full charge....I've even made sure to leave them charging for a couple of hours but it doesn't make a difference. It gets really frustrating. If the battery life were better, these would get a higher rating as everything else is perfect.

Just paying for the brand name

    • Written by Stefan F

First things first, I love both Apple and Beats products. The problem with these though is the poor quality design and sound quality. The visual styling and physical design were obviously first on their engineering team’s list. They feel very cheap. The sound quality is very not great. Beats likes to scoop their EQ and boost the low end since the majority of their customers listen to hip hop, pop, and rap. There’s a ton of bass but everything above the mid range is muddy and thin. If Beats would have made the EQ as flat as possible, and then allowed the user to choose their own EQ rather than forcing you to have a boosted bass and muddy highs, that would make a huge difference.

Stopped working, does not turn on

I bought these specifically for the gym, after 3 months they kept turning off every 5 minutes which was very annoying and frustrating, and now they don't even turn on.

    Love them.

    • Written by Desirae A

My husband bought me these about a week ago, and I absolutely love them. The music is crystal clear, I don't have a long wire that I'm trippin on anymore, and they are awesome looking. Although I don't see the color I bought on this site, they're like a purple and kind of salmon color. Sounds ugly, but they are very nice. Haha. I'd definitely recommend these headphones.

    GARBAGE! Do not buy!!!

    • Written by Lawrence G

I wish I could give this product zero stars! These only lasted me a month until they didn't turn on at all, after using the warranty to get them replaced the "new/repaired" headset started to have charging issues after three months of use. Apple should seriously consider discontinuing this product; all the positive reviews are from people that prematurely praised the headphones after only a couple days or weeks of use. Trust me save your money and spend it elsewhere on a more reportable pair of headphones from another brand.

I would love to give this five stars, but...

    • Written by Eli F

Connection controls ruin an otherwise amazing headphone. If I connect to a device, I would like to be connected to that device, especially if I reconnect to it a hundred times over the span of five minutes. What possible use could there be between pinging a connection back and forth between two devices. If you don't mind ALWAYS shutting off the Bluetooth on the devices you don't use, or if you live on a technological island with one Bluetooth device, these are the earphones for you. Otherwise, stay AWAY.
