    Nice cable

    • Written by Holly H from Brecksville

The rapid charging is awesome! I wouldn’t want to be without it. I use this cable with the C charging block and the mophie external battery which supports the C cable for rapid charging on the go.

    Great cable!

    • Written by Zacharie C from Caraquet

Bought my macbook pro 4 months ago, i take care of the cable, i dont roll it around the plug and dont ball it up at the bottom of my backpack, If you take care of it it's gonna last a long time, its a cable you got there not a rod of steel. you can't trow it anywhere and expect it's not going to break.

I didn't find the cable slow either, for the other ratings who says it is, maybe its just you macbook that can't do what you're trying to do.

Not stinky on 18 Dec 2018

    • Written by Griff D from Mountain View

Just bought the 2 meter cord. Had to see whether it was stinky. Putting my nose up to the coil, it had an interesting slight odor. Plugged it between my Mac and charger (charges as expected). I have a pretty sensitive nose. I don't detect an odor coming from the cord while the laptop is on my lap. If I press the cord to my nose and inhale, I do smell a slight odor similar to that of rubber. While you may have been daunted by other reviews about the cable being stinky, I encourage to make the purchase.

    Good cable, good quality

    • Written by Luyuan C from Toronto

The cable feels good, especially compared to other USB-C charging cables.

And people, please don't complain about the USB2 capability, it's clearly marked, read before you buy,

Great, if you look after it

    • Written by Taylor B from Auckland

I see a lot of 1 and 2 star reviews for this item. I've never had too many issues with these cables. I replace them about once a year when they begin to wear and it's great that the cable isn't built into the power brick anymore. People just need to look after their stuff and they'll last much longer! Don't kink the cable and you'll be fine.

    Good cable for Google Pixel

    • Written by Peter F from St. Paul

I've used this cable for my Google Pixel (2016) for over a year now and I've had no troubles with it. It's well constructed, the casing hasn't broken or split yet, it stands up to lots of moving around (it's the one I use in my bedroom), and provides the rapid charge for my phone. I use it with the wall charging block I got from Google, and this is a great replacement cable to use with my phone. Good price, no complaints.

    Excellent (and USB-C COMPLIANT) Cable

    • Written by Alejandro A from Philadelphia

As other INFORMED reviewers have mentioned, this is a great cable capable of 100W USB-C power delivery. I've been using mine DAILY for 7+ months with a 13" 2017 MB Pro and then 15" 2017 MB Pro with zero issues. If you're not an animal and you treat your cables with care (in other words, use them like a normal human being and not a 5 year old child) they should last many years.

I store ALL of my cables in a circular way (a "loop" if you will), never bending them into a "bow" shape or stressing the ends of the cables excessively. I've used Apple, Belkin, Anker, Samsung, and MonoPrice cables of ALL sorts and have only ever had ONE cable failure (an Apple USB-A to Lightning cable from 5+ years ago). And I probably have 20-25 cables of various types (as a software tester with many devices to keep charged). For the past 7 months for 5 days/week I've been using:

    2x USB-C to Lightning 2M cables (Apple)
    1x USB-C to Lightning 1M cable (Apple)
    2x USB-C to USB-C 2M cables (Apple)
    4x USB-C to USB-C 10Gbps cables (Belkin)

Zero problems. Zero fraying. Zero short circuits. Zero house fires. No roof collapses, landslides, or floods either. Amazing right?

This is a GOOD cable, it meets the spec, it can deliver a ton of power, and as with ANYTHING well made it will last if you use it carefully and properly. If you wrap it tightly and cram it in your bag carelessly, if you unplug by yanking from the cable instead of the connector, and if you generally treat it like garbage then what do you expect lol?

    Great cable!

    • Written by Jack P from Richardson

Cable is great quality. Please ignore the reviews stating slow data transfer speeds. As the item’s title states it is s charging cable. The fact you can transfer data with it, albeit slowly, is purely a convenience. Power delivery is its intended purpose and it does it will.

    Fitting,Sleek,Powerful

    • Written by Victor V from Carrollton

I have a late 2016 macbook pro with 2-usbC ports or the non-touch bar mac book pro. I will have to say that the charger is perfect, it's not clunky and it detaches from the charger box. This saves me space and I can move the "charger-box" more towards the inside of my bag to protect it from the occasional knocks as I'm hurrying through the day.
I do miss the magsafe but in a professional environment there was truly no need for it as these machines are ultra portable. I've gone through the process of adding Windows 10 to my Pro using Bootcamp and it monitors charging speeds and it takes about 30-40 minutes for the Macbook to become fully charged from a low as 25% and it last me all day.

I think there is much to be said about the Increased efficacy and speed of charging and you can put the charger in any way and in any port on the machine. unlike the Mag-safe that had only like one way of charging and the ridiculous wearing out of the ports. The only thing I'm worried about with these chargers is that they look a bit flimsy like the Iphone lightening chargers. However the Box-parts should last a lot longer than the Magsafe as they don't have to do much but provide power.

    Solid Cable

    • Written by Stephen Z from nashville

This cable is solid. They redid the jacket of the cable so I suspect we will see a lot less pealing and fraying like old mag safe. The cable supports USB device and 100 Watt USB-C PD. This is huge for a 20 dollar cable. This cable is one of the few things apple priced lower than the value it delivers. The cable is also already the max length supported by USB-C PD.

    Great Cable

    • Written by Max B from Solana Beach

Got one of these cables with my 2016 MacBook Pro (13" Non-Touch Bar). The build quality is fantastic (much thicker and more durable than the Magsafe Cable). While a lot of people are upset about the loss of Magsafe, I will say it's very nice to be able to replace only the cable and not the power adapter (Magsafe required both). I do wish they offered longer cables (3, 4 meters) as Magsafe did have the extension cable.

Overall great cable and a huge leap over Magsafe and the Lightning cables in terms of durability and build quality.
