    Not as good as the old ones

    A pair of these came with my iPhone 7, they don't sound as good as the old EarPods which came with my 6s. Very disappointed.

    Quite The Scam.

    Apparently my story is a familiar one- you don't even need to scroll down. Let me sum it up for you;

    Perhaps you've been using these earbuds for a few months and notice that you are dropping out of important conference calls for work, or, your music is interrupted by Siri randomly, or, you find yourself interrupted while talking on a call only to find out your microphone never worked.

    If you are experiencing these symptoms, join the club.

    "Hi, my name is Brett, and i'm addicted to spending way too much money at Apple for subpar service and predictable new product rollouts."

    I was going to drop another $29.99 because I thought my earbuds were the problem, but I don't think MINE are the problem. I think Apple hastily manufactured a poor product and has been making money off of this very issue. Not falling for it this time- i'll spend the extra money on decent bluetooth headphones not made by a company that is now becoming known more for boring and faulty products than innovation and quality.

    Absolutely laughable how cheesy the earpods are. I've gone through at least 4 sets in just over a year. They work fine for a month or two, then one side will go out and then the next. $30 each time for a faulty product. These are obviously engineered to break as you can see the overwhelming 1 star reviews and yet they make no correction. Not to mention there are very few other options out there. I actually like a $10 set of wireless earbuds I got from Target but it's a hassle to have to recharge earphones. I'm officially done with Apple products. I'll ride this phone out and when it's done I'm done as well. It was bad enough they took the headphone jack out so you can't charge your phone while listening without another $30 accessory. You would think a company that wants to keep it's customers happy wouldn't put out a product that gets 90%+ terrible reviews. Worthless and infuriating

    I have the 7, had it since it was first born. I refuse to spend lots more money for headphones, when the product that comes with the phone should perform properly. I have had to replace the headphones 3times, and each time the same issue continues to happen. They’ll be work just fine and then about a month or so later they lose sound in one ear and the other ear you can barely hear.

    Can you please make a better quality earbud that come with the iPhone.

    Terrible Quality; Not Worth It

    This is my first time writing a product review and I never thought I would write one, but this is getting out of hand. If there were a way to give this product 0 stars, I would. I've gone through about 3 pairs of these headphones since I got the Iphone 7 around April and they simply do not work. They seem to go through a pattern. They work fantastically for a few weeks or so and the quality of sound could not be any better. But then the +/- and pause buttons on them stop working and a few weeks after that, one side will stop working all together. Soon after, the headphones will finally break. In the meantime, you can expect them to randomly play and pause songs, activate Siri for no reason, and make random calls at no prompt.

    At first I thought it was something I was doing wrong and that this wasn't Apple's fault, especially as the 3.5mm jack headphones had worked brilliantly for me. My last pair of headphones lasted only a month and I almost had a mental breakdown trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, because I couldn't believe I had to pay $29 again and was afraid I would be doing so every month from now on. Thankfully, I checked the reviews of this product before buying it again and it seems that the problem does seem to be with Apple and not me. It appears that Apple has put out a subpar product because they knew they could get away with it, as people would see their only options as these or much, much more expensive wireless headphones. However, you can find wireless headphones for only a few dollars more on Amazon that have almost a perfect 5-star rating and seem to work much better than these headphones that I will be purchasing instead of these headphones right now.

    If Apple would improve this product and actually make it work as well and last as long as their 3.5 mm jack headphones, I would consider buying these headphones again, as I've used wireless headphones in the past and do not particularly like the feel of them. I doubt this will happen anytime soon, though, as Apple will continue to get away with creating subpar products as long as people think its their only option. In the meantime, I am going to use wireless headphones and will continue to express my dislike for this product to everyone I possibly can.

    Very Disappointed- Stopped Working

    I've been a loyal Apple customer since the OG iPod was released in 2001. The quality of the EarPods is frustrating. I love the sound and functionality of this product. However, my latest pair of EarPods lasted only eight (8) months before the left EarPod just stopped working altogether. Reading other reviews, this appears to be a very common issue. APPLE, please get it together and improve the quality of the EarPods. Totally unacceptable.

    They were great for a while the sound was great but I’m disappointed because I took great care o d them and one earbud went out and now the other went out!!! I’m so upset because I absolutely loved them! It seems to be like a malfunction with these a lot of people had them go out all the sudden!!

    The only reason I’m giving these earphones 1 star is because I had to in order to write the review. These earphones only last a few months (if that) before the wires start to short. For $30 the quality is complete bogus and I feel trapped into buying them since my phone requires the lightning compatibility. I’m really convinced at this point that Apple pays no attention to their reviews. They pay more attention to the quality of the actual phone than the accessories that go with them. Sorry if it seems like I’m rambling but I have never been more annoyed with a product. Long story short, be prepared to dish out $30 every 2 months for these headphones. Don’t be fooled, the sound quality is great when they are brand new, but there is not an ounce of longevity. Good Luck.

    Super inconvenient!

    OMG! How can I tell you how much I hate this design decision? With the items that Apple includes with your new iPhone, you cannot charge your phone and listen to the earbuds at the same time. You have to buy an aftermarket adapter. Apple is wrong for that! This isn’t keeping with Steve Jobs’s vision of keeping it “so simple my mother could use it”. Another problem of this design is, if you plug in a charger after you’ve connected to a Bluetooth device, you get instantly disconnected and have to reconn for your Bluetooth. A third problem is—similar to the last one—if you are listening to a song and open an app that has the ability to play audio (even if you aren’t using its audio at the time) the earbuds shut off and the sound comes through the phones speakers at high volume! VERY, VERY inconvenient when you are in an environment which requires you to stay quiet and listen through your earbuds (library, public transit, near a sleeping child, etc.). Yes, I’m VERY displeased with this hardware change. I have the iPhone 8 Plus and this is the one feature that I just simply HATE the most. As they say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. I hope they change it back in future iPhone iterations.

    So utterly rubbish

    I honestly had the exact experience as an earlier review. The pair that broke today was my third pair of the year. The firsts one stopped working all together, the second started skipping songs randomly and the third one currently only works in one ear. It is frustrating enough that the headphone port is the same as the charging port but it is ridiculous that in the 2.5 years I have had my current iphone I have gone through 7 earpods. Just absolutely not worth it.

    TERRIBLE AND BREAKS QUICKLY!!! DO NOT BUY

    Bought these and after 2 months, they started losing sound, the cord started to fray and the sound in one ear was completely gone. Volume had to be fully up to even bareley hear it in the one ear. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN! AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!

    I AM SO MAD PERIODDDD!!These headphones lasted me for 3 months only 3 months!!can y’all believe that?i take good care of my headphones ALWAYS but these only lasted me THREE MONTHS.First one started malfunctioning then today when I woke up THE OTHER ONE STOPPED WORKING.APPLE FIX YPUR HEADPHONES AND MAKE THEM CHEAPER IF THEYRE GONNA STOP WORKING IN THREE MONTHS

    Have bought 4 pairs in the past 6 months.. one always ends up going out and no matter what is done, the sound never comes back. For $30 you’d expect these things to last longer than a month or 2.. absolutely unacceptable!

    Stopped working after 3 months

    Bought my phone in november and one side stopped working in December and the other in January, I was out of country when these stopped working and couldn't listen to music since no other earphones fit in this phone

    WELL I GOT A NEW PAIR IN JANUARY 2019 AND THEY BROKE IN APRIL 2019 AND NOTHING EVEN HAPPENED SO I JUST HAD PUT THEM IN MY POCKET FOR A FEW MINUTES AND I TAKE THEM OUT AND PLUG THEM IN AND THE RIGHT SIDE EARBUD HAS NO SOUND I TRIED EVERYTHING TO FIX IT AND NOTHING WORKED.     This is the third pair of head phones I’ve received in a year and they all continue to have the same issues! The button on the right side of the headphones act faulty and continue to hang up on calls, stop and play music randomly, and makes Siri pop up without me pressing the button at all! I am tired of buying the same headphones for them to malfunction in 4 months. Don’t buy them people.

    Break for no reason

    The headphones came with my iPhone 7 and literally out of nowhere the right side doesn't play at all and the left earbud only plays out of the back speaker, making the headphones COMPLETELY USELESS unless you wear the left one backwards. Ridiculous rip-off!! Take your money anywhere else.

    I'm seriously going to stop purchasing these. They last a few months then they just stop working. The volume is turned all the way up and I can barely hear anything. Same thing happened with the Air-pods. Going to start looking elsewhere. Apple needs to get it together when comes to their headphones.
