    Better than expected

    • Written by Mark C from Chelsea

The sound quality is terrific ... if you’re sitting still. I hadn’t used Apple’s EarPods before, but after buying a new iPhone X I thought I’d try them out of the box. This was a precursor to me perhaps buying a set of very expensive AirPods, or so I thought. If the wired EarPods weren’t up to scratch, the wireless AirPods wouldn’t be either, not because of sound quality but because of fit. As I said, the EarPod’s sound quality was terrific, much better than my very expensive Bluetooth headphones. But - and isn’t there always a but - the pods would not stay in my ears. And as I wanted to use them in the gym, there was no way they were going to stay put. The simple solution was buying some skins. The EarPods now stay put, the sound is just as good, and I’m happy. I won’t be buying a pair of AirPods simply because I don’t need to. The EarPods are just fine, with the skins of course.

    Great product but..

    • Written by Raffaele D from Cambridge

The new EarPods are made with Apple standard quality and the sound is an improvement over the older ones.
Even so I have 2 (minor) complains:
    1. I was surprised to discover They don't work with my iPad that runs the updated iOS10: this is pretty annoying as I have to use 2 different types of EarPods with my iPhone and iPad (and Mac too btw)
    1. New EarPods no longe come with a case: this is a minor thing because I rarely used it but it was kind of nice to have

    Pretty great but..

    • Written by Mike M from Lusby

I have had these for about 11 months and they were pretty powerful until the 9th month where the bass was the only thing that was loud and the treble was very weak. I have to put it up all the way and it’s still not loud enough for my comfort.

No better and no worse than the other Apple EarPods

    • Written by MICHELLE F from Royal Oak

Bummer that so many other reviewers have had issues with these. To me they are exactly like the EarPods with the 3.5 mm headphone jack. They look the same, sound the same (Both when listening to music/podcasts and when talking on the phone), fit the same and the microphone works and sounds the same while talking on the phone. I only bought these in case I decide to upgrade to the 7 from my beloved little SE. I don't care that you can't charge the phone at the same time as listening through these...I never do those at once. I only use my earbuds while I'm on the go. If I'm ever listening anywhere else, I connected via Bluetooth to my beats pill speaker. In my opinion, unless you care about not being able to charge your phone and listen through EarPods at the same time, they are no different then the other Apple earbuds/pods.

    Decent

    • Written by Kyla M from Lombard

I had my earbuds for almost 8 1/2 months and they stayed in good shape until they got smushed in my backpack and the plastic fell off the actual bud. They’re good earbuds in general if you take good care of them. I recommend this product.

    I love it

    • Written by Sara R from Edinburg

I have been using these EarPods ever since I got the iPhone 7 which has been a little over a year now. I love the way you can adjust the volume with the little thing on the wire (I don’t know what it’s called!). It has been my best friend and worked perfectly. Recently though, I noticed the left ear would randomly stop working and then only the left one would work only for it to switch again. It’s great, I just wish it lasted longer.

    Came with the X

What is there to even say about these earphones. They are Ok for something that comes with the phone. I rarely use them (as I have 2 other bluetooth pairs of earphones and 1 pair of headphones), but whenever I do, they do the job fine. I wouldn't but them tho. You can get some cheap Chinese wireless earphones for the same price or even less that do a way better job.

    Swimming Pool

    • Written by Charlie B from Rotherham

Amazing Earphones. I went swimming, and my earphones were in my pocket (i was in the pool for 30 minutes). I forgot that they were in there, after I got out of the pool I realised that I had Left my earphones in my swimming shorts pocket, I let them dry in the sun, and both of them worked perfectly.

    I was amazed.

Great for iPhone 7, would even use it on my older devices

    • Written by Arthur P from Aartrijke

These have a pretty nice sound and a great build quality. They fit in my ear nicely without having those weird rubber ear things, which is a plus for me. I feel like they have slightly better audio quality, but that might be because they rely on digital audio and not on analog audio.
One thing that does bothers me is that these are not very useful with my macbook.

    Almost perfect

    • Written by Luuk D from ZEVENAAR

    Hi all,

I've been using my earpods for a while now just to test them.
As a sound engineer I am used to high-end speaker systems, as a reference I took my Shure SE in-ear monitors and a avarage PA system.
My first impression was WOW, the earbud's sound very well for a included pair of earbuds. After using them for 2 weeks I just found one shortcomming. From 16KHz and up I miss a part of my sound, ofcourse this is solvable by using a equalizer but the back side is that I need to turn off the EQ every time I want to use my I phone to play music over a PA system since they are most often perfectly capable of producing that part of the frequency spectrum.

Apple, I hope you can do something with this feedback.

    With kind regards,
    Luuk

Durable and Reliable with One Noticeable Flaw

    • Written by Casey T from Chicago

I don’t have any major complaints about these earbuds. I often use them for commuting and exercising, where sound quality isn’t a primary concern. I don’t want to ruin my more expensive headphones when I have these that I can beat up, and these earbuds definitely can take a beating. The one flaw I’ve noticed with these, that I never had with stardard 3.5mm headphone jack EarPods, is the disconnection that occurs in cold weather. I don’t know if this is a flaw of the iPhone’s Lightning connector or the EarPods, but in cold weather, the audio will cut out and you can hear the EarPods “disconnect” and pop as if they had been physically unplugged from the iPhone while still in your ears. This is a nuisance I never had to deal with while having a 3.5mm headphone jack on my iPhone. The only solution I can think of is to use Bluetooth wireless headphones in cold weather.

    Pros and Cons

    • Written by Lydia C from Medina

I just got the iPhone 7 in February and it is now September and the headphones Apple supplied with the iPhone 7 are already broken. I wasn’t very happy at first because you cannot charge your iPhone and listen to music at the same time but once I started using the headphones more I was okay with it because of the lightning cord and the great sound of the headphones. These headphones right ear phone fell off completely. I tried to make it work but it wouldn’t work. I love the sound and quality of these headphone I’m going to spend $29.99 on buying a new pair. I think the wireless Airpods are way to expensive when you can just get these. Im writing this review just for everyone buying these Earpods to be aware that they are very fragile and will break easily like the broken pair I have now. I will be heading to the Apple Store soon to buy a new pair. I hope your EarPods don’t end up like mine. I recommend buying these EarPods. But be careful with them.

    Great, but bad quality...

    • Written by Freddy N from Havant

Love these headphones, and they're actually the only in ear style of headphones I'll use. The only thing that let's these headphones down is the quality, as they randomly stop and disconnect so I have to fiddle with the cable by the lightning port. Shame I'll have to buy another pair...

    Great Quality underrated

    • Written by Sebastian M from Riverside

These ear pods stay in my ear and have great sound quality. Works well with my iPhone seven and is very handy if only I could stop losing them. I am planning on purchasing 3-5 more because I think they are great Quality. One problem is I can't use 'hey siri' with them like I was hoping. Overall great product should buy.

    Great Overall!

    • Written by William E from chicago

The sound is very nice! Blocks out everything else,I wouldn't say the design is perfect but wayyyyy better than the cheap circle ones from convience stores. The bass is very clear and you can hear all the background instruments and sounds that u don't with other headphones or even the phone speakers. (I have an iPhone 7). The highest volume is VERY loud. I like my music loud but this loud is LOUD. The cord is very flexible do I think it's harder to catch a shortage in so that's good. I lost mine! Almost cried because when I have them in it zones the world out and I get T'd!!! But if I don't find them I'll definitely buy some more of these

    Lighting connection issue

    • Written by Sean C from Erie

Ran into a problem with my new lighting connected headphones, that I received with my iPhone 7. When I plugged them in no sound? I tired to unplug and plug back in multiple times with no success, I was really surprised and thought something was wrong with the phone. I set them aside and was going to use the dongle. When I flipped the connector 180 º I plugged it back in and they worked, I then tried it in my iPad Air 2 same issue, so I contacted Apple support and they are sending me new set and I am sending this set back to them, thanks Apple!

I don't understand why earbuds are so expensive. Its a chord and a speaker how expensive could it be. Now my last pair of apple earbuds that came with my iphone 6 were the same accept the fact they didn't fall apart as easy. I left them in the washer and dryer and got completely shredded...
