I'm down to my 4th pair in 7 months. They break down within a few weeks, pausing and playing songs randomly, not to mention that the remote stopped working in a matter of days. Given that they're not cheap, this performance is unacceptable.

    Worse Idea Ever

    • Written by lisa M from Petaluma

Stupid idea, Apple! Since purchasing my new iPhone 8, I have wasted about $150 bucks on stupid adapters, dongles, etc, and NO, I do not want your Bluetooth junk next to my skull. Such as waste of time and money! I've been a dedicated Apple consumer for 10 flippin years and unless Apple makes some educated changes, I'm voting with my pocketbook. Samsung, anyone?

    poor design, do not recommend

    • Written by joel S from PENTICTON

this design does not stay in my ear, if I sit still they work, but if I move my head, they start to fall out. I can not walk without them falling out. I also am not a big fan of the lightning connector- does work with any other device.

don't waste your money, these are the worst headphones ever

    • Written by Jessica M from Newnan

These headphones don't stay in place and they are extermely uncomfortable.
Now that I have an iphone8 and have to use this new headphone jack, I've been on the hunt for anything other than this stupid system. I shouldn't have to use an adapter to listen ot music on my phone. I also shouldn't have to hurt my ears and drive myself crazy trying to keep these in.

I recommend you find anything else besides these headphones because they are absolutely the worst headphones I've ever had.

Between apple going to this type of headphone jack and the news that they slow down/kill batteries, this might be the last straw for me. Other smartphones are starting to look at lot more user friendly.

    Faulty / Touch sensitive

    • Written by Anne Marie L from Libertyville

The lightning connector is terrible. The slightest touch will turn off a call, switch a song, turn off a song, randomly start a call, etc. I have to buy blue tooth headphones now so I can use my phone while running and walking. I sincerely hope Apple does away with this and/or creates a better connector.

I have had my earphones since September and by November one ear had tuned out so I was stuck listening to the music through one year while it would skip and pause songs at random and now this morning they’ve just stopped working and as a commuter, I’d rather listen to my music than the trains! I keep my earphones in tip top condition, and although I got these free with my phone, I do not feel comfortable shelling out £30 for a new pair when cheaper brands produce better quality earphones...but wait, you’ve removed the jack so no one can BUY cheaper earphones! I thought that I was the only one, but after reading these reviews I’m clearly not. I love my phone but shame on you apple for downgrading big time in this department.

I can't believe anyone would pay 29 for this junk. I throw them out when they come free with the phone! The sound quality is terrible, and they are the most uncomfortable ear buds made. They don't even have a rubber cushion, which most of us like because it makes the ear bud tolerable and sometimes comfortable. It also helps cancel out the noise. Apple is always claiming to be pushing the envelope with design so why can't they design quality ear buds? They want 800 for the phone but then they give you these cheap, one size fits all, uncomfortable, and poor sound quality ear buds.

    Doesn’t Last Long

    • Written by Symone B from Pembroke Pines

I wish Apple would work on these because I constantly have to keep on buying new ones, just about every other month. This is honestly contributing to me thinking about switching over to Samsung. Please fix this!

    • Written by Yisha W from Melbourne

What a joke, when it’s broken while still new, you running over town nowhere can find a end is flat to fit in stupid iPhone with a flat end. On a Christmas night! Most horror ever, a wireless headphone so big and ugly hanging out of ears cost 300. The only headphones come with the phone so useless, not everyone can afford headphones like you people working in apple.

    Worst idea ever from Apple

    • Written by Eric B from Arlington

I hate these earphones. I used to be able to seamlessly transfer my earphones from my phone to my Mac. No more. My MAC doesn't have a lightning jack. And charging? I have to buy a special charger that will let me charge my phone at the same time that I wear my headphones. Bluetooth EarPods you say? Why do I want to hassle myself with another device to charge? And what about playing my iPhone through a stereo when I practice guitar? I have to have a special dongle to do that. Apple has made my life harder. I don't buy their products for that. If they keep it up, I'll stop. I don't write reviews very often, but I resent this design choice so much I felt compelled to come here and write one.

So buy your new iPhone and my first day at work the EarPods you just came out with for the IPhone 8 the lightning connector is all ready faulty have to unplug my phone everywhere 20 minutes to play music or to make the remote buttons work. If you don’t recall and give everyone headphone I bet the next iPhone won’t do well cause I’m not buying Iphone ever again. You don’t care about your products they cost 30 bucks each to make. You guys

I am seriously hate this product, only use for iPhone 7, not for all laptops because there are not such lightning ports. Apple, do you want me to buy another ear phone with AUX plug, if so, what is the point with this EarPod with Lightning, what a piece of junk.

Earpods Lightening connection getting disconnected frequently.

    • Written by sunil K from porur

This is a very serious hardware issue that apple must fix as soon as possible, before its too late. i listen to music while riding my bicycle, and this lightening connetor earpods get disconnected for every 2 min or 3 . If apple is not giving a sturdy earpods which is very basic right of any iphone user whats the point in spending so much for an iphone. very much dissappointed with its lightening connector earpods weak design and purposeless removal of standard headphone audio jack port from iphone7 onwards therby forcing and leaving iphone consumers to suffer their fate with these useless unsturdy weak lightening connector earpods

Note : No complaint with Audio quality , But what to do with Audio quality if its not able to reach the Ears.

The build quality is terrible, had to get these replaced from apple and new ones have now also broke.
The lighning connector is very fragile and weak! I don't know how Apple can charge £29 for them?!
This is the same with the Lightning charge/sync cable.. Absolutely rubbish quality!
