    • Written by Danielle S from Leo

Today I opened my new EarPods. 1.5 hours later, the +/- volume do no work nor do they start/pause my music. Really?! A 1.5 hours later?

They fall out of my ears

    • Written by Trent O from Lexington

I can't use them. They fall out of my ears. Please design a really good set of wired lightning earbuds with interchangeable silicone tips and I'll buy them.

    Won't fit in my ears

    • Written by Alpar B from Cluj-Napoca

This is the first pair of earphones that won't fit in my ears and from what I have been reading on the internet, I'm not the only one. I know that the audio quality is very good but this design flaw makes the whole thing unusable and disappointing.

Very flimsy product and poorly made. Don't see the point of this modification. The old earphones are much better

Are these made for human ears?

    • Written by Panayoti B from leicester

First of all, whatever Apple says about the advantages of the lightning connector is useless.
The new system forces you to use these specific earphones. You can't use the earphones and charge your phone simultaneously any more.
You must use the original or similar models. Alternatively you'll have to carry the jack with you everywhere and use normal earphones. (Good luck in not losing it).
The design, on the other hand, is rather peculiar. Unlike all the previous models of earphones, these ones aren't that stable in the ears. They don't fit properly and get loose with the slightest movement. Add to that the fact that you have to play your music really loud, as any noice around can be easily heard.
It makes me wonder if they were made for human ears... or if Apple deliberately created such an appalling model to push its customers in buying the AirPod type....

Horrible - Don't stay in my ears!

    • Written by Scott J from Glenview

Like probably 30-40% of people, these do not stay in my ears and fall out - doing nothing! I tried putting them in opposite ears backwards, and they stayed in a little better, but then the sound is muffled.

APPLE - as a dedicated customer, you should offer lightening Ear Buds for those that these do not work for. Shame on you.

    Unreliable garbage

    • Written by Miguel C from Washington

I've been through three of these (replaced for free at the Apple Store). They last a month or two and then start going haywire, skipping through music, activating voice control, etc. I would never pay a penny for them, they are of phenomenally low quality. It's not like I'm abusing them - the earphones that came with my old Android phone in 2010 still work perfectly and in fact I am now using those through the Lightning adapter with no problems.

    Sound quality is quite bad.

    • Written by Keir C from Southend

In direct comparison with both the Air Pods and the standard 3.5mm jack Ear Pods, the sound quality of these headphones is terrible.
They continuously slip out of the lighting port. This port was not designed to be used in conjunction with headphones!
Do not buy until Apple improve the product.

    Overpriced Failure

    • Written by Katelyn M from Otley

I went to my local apple shop to buy my headphones straight from the store. I thought that buying them directly from the source would mean that they were in good condition. I used the for 1 month when the sound suddenly cut out! The remote was working, the phone recognised they were there and there was no apparent damage. I tried them in my friends phone and had the exact same problem. The headphones are overpriced anyways let alone for them to stop working! I have no sound in these headphones so don’t buy them.

    Don't waste your money

    • Written by David B from Goldens Bridge

Instead of making headphones which actually fit comfortably in your ears and isolate sound ($5 Walmart earbuds do a better job of this), Apple compensates by making these super loud.
That combined with the fact that these don't work with ANY device other than certain models of iPhone makes them very disappointing. Your money would be better spent on just about any headphone of the same price.

I question Apple Design & Quality

    • Written by Jeff B from ontario

Bought a new iphone 8 for $800 and you would expect to get a decent pair of headphones with the device. I am not expecting to get top of the line noise canceling headphones but at least something that works and is comfortable.

These Earpods are junk in my opinion. Here is my reasoning:

    1) They are not comfortable to wear. It feels like they are going to fall out all the time. And they do fall out of my ears!
    2) They don't block any ambient noise at all. I could careless how they sound; If headphones don't immerse me in the audio they aren't any good!
    3) They have reliability or connectivity issues within 2 days of use. If I wiggle the connector they will lose sync from the phone and I have to resume play constantly! I don't have this issue with the adapter on regular headphones. Just these earbuds

So buy your new iPhone and my first day at work the EarPods you just came out with for the IPhone 8 the lightning connector is all ready faulty have to unplug my phone everywhere 20 minutes to play music or to make the remote buttons work. If you don’t recall and give everyone headphone I bet the next iPhone won’t do well cause I’m not buying Iphone ever again. You don’t care about your products they cost 30 bucks each to make. You guys

    Junk product

    • Written by Saiping C from Brooklyn

I am seriously hate this product, only use for iPhone 7, not for all laptops because there are not such lightning ports. Apple, do you want me to buy another ear phone with AUX plug, if so, what is the point with this EarPod with Lightning, what a piece of junk.

    Uncomfortable

    • Written by Kathie L from Miamisburg

Anyone else find these earpods to be uncomfortable? They also fall out easily when I am reclining. Do not get me wrong, the sound is good...but...they hurt and won't stay in place. The cheap earbuds from airlines fit my ears better than this style. Apple needs to offer something that will accommodate various ear types. I am very disappointed. Come on, Apple, step up!

    Not working!

    • Written by Tiyonna W from Philadelphia

After 4 months of having the iPhone 7, it hasn't been a year yet and my earphones broke! The left earpod is not working anymore and they expect you to pay $100+ for the AirPods. I can't remember the one time I had my iPhone headphones for more than 4 months. Apple really needs to make durable EarPods that lasts longer than this EarPods with flimsy connector cords. The sound is amazing, but I want the durability along with it.

    Broke within 3 days

    • Written by Emma R from Chicago

If I could give zero stars I would. I have had these for 3 days, came with my new iPhone and the cord has already frayed and will no longer play from my iPhone. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality here and feel ripped off because I spent so much on this new phone and can't even use the brand new headphones.

    Fail too easily

    • Written by Gary F from Creve Coeur

I've had these for the 5 month's I've had my 7. The controller only works sometimes and the sound occasionally cuts out. I usually unplug and plug it back and it starts working again, but that should not happen 5 months in with very little use.

I only use these occasionally at work (in an office) to listen to music so I can easily pause and talk to others without touching my phone. I typically use other headphones connected to my laptop station, so these should be holding up better than they are.

I will not buy a second pair of these (i only have the pair the phone came with). I am very disappointed in this product. I do not recommend you spend money on this item.

first the remote stopped working, then the right earpod.

    • Written by Thomas P from Groningen

The quality of these earpods is terrible, all the rubber seals around contact points was gone after 2 months, then the remote stopped working, and now 4 months in the right earpod as well. These are fine to get with your iPhone but I wouldn't recommend buying them.
