    Useless

    Everytime I plug in these headphones, it starts acting up like starting my music, pausing every video I see and etc.
    Apple always tryna make people upgrade into more expensive ones by making the old products horrible, but some of us can't freaking afford expensive AirPods.

    Horrible Quality

    I bought a pair of these because my old ones broke. I paid a full $30 and they stopped working entirely. I then went and bought a second pair, and after a few weeks they would start skipping, pausing, and moving ahead in songs that I’m trying to listen to. For $30 these should be great quality but they’re not. It’s dissapointing that a company could care so little as to actually sell these for $30 when they break so frequently. This is the only reason I’m afraid to buy AirPods. I don’t want to spend almost $200 on a product and it end up doing this.

    When you listen to them with the phone in your pocket, sometimes they stop working. You need to unplug them and plug them back in. After 6 months of light use (i take very good care of them) mine broke. The right earphone stopped working as mentioned in other reviews. Disappointing

    GARBAGE

    The only reason I’m giving these earphones 1 star is because I had to in order to write the review. These earphones only last a few months (if that) before the wires start to short. For $30 the quality is complete bogus and I feel trapped into buying them since my phone requires the lightning compatibility. I’m really convinced at this point that Apple pays no attention to their reviews. They pay more attention to the quality of the actual phone than the accessories that go with them. Sorry if it seems like I’m rambling but I have never been more annoyed with a product. Long story short, be prepared to dish out $30 every 2 months for these headphones. Don’t be fooled, the sound quality is great when they are brand new, but there is not an ounce of longevity. Good Luck.

    Replaced 3 in one year !

    The ones I bought with my iPhone 7 lasted almost year and a half and they worked just fine until the right side stopped working. Since then I’ve had to replace them three times and each time it barely lasts 2 months! Everytime it’s the same thing; the right side stops working. I use them frequently but I take good care of them and don’t use them while exercising so that they don’t get wet. And yet they keep breaking. Very disappointing!

    Warning of ELECTRIC SHOCK!

    I got these with my new Iphone X when I upgraded. The first time I used them, the mic didn't work and I could't use them for calls. After a couple of days, I plugged these earphones into my new phone and turned on music. Instead of sound, I received a painful electric shock into my ear canal. Thank g-d I still have my hearing. Worst product ever. Shame on you Apple for monopolizing the market- if you want to do so, please provide good quality products instead of GARBAGE.

    I have to use tape to hold them in my ears

    I wish they came with a loop that would fit over my ear to hold them in place. They don't fit snugly and if I try to put pressure to make them stay in they are terribly uncomfortable. Then in a few minutes they fall out. The best fix for me is to use medical tape my ears, over the earbuds to keep them in place.
    A word of advice for Apple: not all ear canals are the same. Give your next design some flexibility please!

    No good

    Got the headphones when I bought my iPhone XS & they lasted 3 months. Within the first month the left side stopped working and then the volume button and microphone shortly after stopped working & now they’ve completely stopped. After reading other peoples reviews, they’re all pretty much the same. Wouldn’t recommend

    Wish I could give a negative # of stars

    These headphones are simply not comfortable and the cord is not long enough. I prefer the corded, and not the wireless headphones, simply because IMO, and from both feedback and experience, the corded headphones do a better job at drowning out background noise...as I am often on long teleconferences daily.

    The ONLY wired headphones that appear for sale on the Apply website are ridiculously expensive and, based on the customer reviews don't even fit well.

    It kind of feels like Apply changed the port on the newer phones on purpose to do two things a) control the headphone market and simply make more money, but probably more likley b) make it easier and easier to drop the corded ones and instead use wireless.

    I used to be able to go to Target or Walmart and buy a good, value priced pair of mic'ed headphones to use with my IPhone, now since I upgraded to the Xr, that simply is not possible, I have no CHOICE but to buy apple headphones -- which I'm sure anyone who is in business would agree isn't a coincidence.

    Other than that, I love Apple products.

    Broke within in a couple of months

    The volume adjustment buttons just don't work at all and occasionally sound does play. I came on here to look for another pair and for this price it is not worth it since it will break in 1 - 2 months.

    Apples standard ear pods

    The standard issue ear pods are a joke. You pay upwards of £600 for a decent iPhone and it comes with these pods that won’t even stay in your ears.
    The weight of the hands free and skip track buttons pulls the pods right out of your ear with the slightest of movements. A simple test of these EarPods would have illuminated the problem and the design changed. It’s pretty obvious it’s a weight issue and by spreading it a little more could of helped rather than putting it all on the right hand side (hands free buttons) which pulls out of the ear constantly with the slightest head movent.
    No good for the gym or a bike ride or pretty much anything that involves moving your head.overall a Poor accessory and not tested correctly
    Considering the price tag of these phones you would of exspected a little more from the one main accessory needed to listen to music.

    I still don’t understand why the need or want for radically different earphones, but at least I thought the quality would be good. What a joke! At least old earphones were easier to replace.

    Total Trash....

    DO NOT BUY, these headphones are trash and apple should discontinue. They automatically increase the volume by itself and loud beeping happens often for no reason. Very very annoying and you’re not able to get it to stop. I’ve had these 3 weeks in and now only one headphone actually has sound. Don’t waste your money on this product, clearly defective.

    I got these for Christmas from my brother, and it’s just a month later, and they don’t work anymore. Not stopped working on one ear, no it STOPPED working, no sound whatsoever. I haven’t dropped it on the ground or anything. save your money instead. I

    Sound quality is quite bad.

    In direct comparison with both the Air Pods and the standard 3.5mm jack Ear Pods, the sound quality of these headphones is terrible.
    They continuously slip out of the lighting port. This port was not designed to be used in conjunction with headphones!
    Do not buy until Apple improve the product.

    Shockingly poor quality

    These came with my iPhone Xs and on the first day of using I noticed that they, essentially, ‘disconnect’ from the iPhone whenever the base of the wire is nudged, even slightly. The quality of these is shockingly bad. Not what you would expect after spending so much money.

    Bad Quality

    My son and I both got the iPhone X in July of last year. His earphones stopped working after about 6 weeks. I gave him the pair that came with mine and now those quit working. I would have thought they would have lasted at least a year, but I was wrong.
