    Poor build quality!!!!

    Got these with my iPhone and they sound exactly the same as the old ones. They just don't last as long!
    The build quality is terrible, had to get these replaced from apple and new ones have now also broke.
    The lighning connector is very fragile and weak! I don't know how Apple can charge £29 for them?!
    This is the same with the Lightning charge/sync cable.. Absolutely rubbish quality!

    Very disappointed with this product

    They came with the iPhone 7 which was good however they do not deliver the best sound quality and broke after only two months of on and off usage. The lightning adapter also came with the iPhone which I ended up using after the earphones broke and this was even worse quality.

    Pretty much possesses your phone

    I only really started to use these headphones on a daily basis since my adaptor (the dongle) broke about a month and a half ago . Once the left ear stopped working about two weeks ago, it has been screwing around with my phone whenever I plug it in. Sometimes with the headphones plugged in, it will suddenly stop and/or play music, even when I'm not listening to anything and in other apps. Other times it will just suddenly turn in voice control and I've had times when I've said nothing that it will call random people on my phone when this happens. Just today, it sped up all the music that I was listening to until it just shorted out. Now everything is playing at a softer level. Not worth buying this for $29

    What a disappointment a great phone with a poor headphones to go with it.
    I mean, does it make any sense that it's one or other option? Talk on the phone or
    charge your cells phone? Why can't I do both like the prior series iPhone 6?
    Also another complaint is the quality of the headphones is cheap. Example:
    When you insert your headphones into the phone it doesnt lock properly. I've
    already gone through 3 of these and I can't even walk and put my phone in my
    Pocket and listen to music, without It turning on and off very annoying.
    The adapter is way better and is more secure! It's obvious that Mr Cook wants its
    customers to buy the AirPods what turn off. I'm seeking a third party device

    Went through 2 pairs in 3 months.

    The sound quality is good.

    They aren't reliable at all. I hear cracks and noise during listening to Audible on iPhone 7 Plus. The audiobook sometimes stops without pressing the control button.

    The worst is that they break. After a month of regular audiobook use the left headphone stopped working. I got it replaced, and once again, after a month, the left headphone stopped working. It's nice it's easy to replace them at Apple Store, but it's terrible experience overall.

    Nowhere near old Apple Headphones with a jack on my older iPhone 6s. Had the same pair since iPhone 5s and they worked great.

    Sound great before the intentional shelf life expires. Each time one side has suddenly stopped working.

    I once owned a 3.5mm pair for three years before I had to replace.

    I’m now on my 5th pair of lightning connector earbuds within two years. (6 months of that I didn’t have headphones as I was exasperated)

    I don’t treat my headphones badly. In fact I became more cautious after each fail.

    This latest fail I was watching a video and heard the left side weaken then cut out completely. There was no rough use or stress on the connector...

    Reading the reviews here it’s clearly a common issue.
    Absolutely disgusted that a company (that once distinguished itself via its world leading design ethic) feel it’s ok to continue releasing this product with a design fault. It just doesn’t work. What a waste of time, resources and money. Yes they’re under warrantee but after the third time it’s become a joke, it’s depressing when the store employees are being told to act surprised when they probably deal with these several times each day.
    I can only conclude they're intentionally designed to fail. Sad.

    i started using these at the end of july, and less than a month later it starts randomly pausing and fast forwarding my music and only the left bud works. this has happened before with my previous pair.

    Keep Breaking

    I have gone through many pairs of these headphones and within 3 months of having them, they are broken. The right side always fails first with no audio coming out of the headphone. I wish I could get a pair that last, it is annoying having to keep going through headphones.

    Do not waste your money

    I had these earpods for a month, then the volume in the right one started to get lower. Then I changed to a new one, the same thing happened. It doesn't matter if you clean it up, the sound gets lower and lower. And they are always falling from my ears. I give up. $29 is a fortune for this piece of...

    After 2-3 month one earbud stops making sound, awful, unfortunately, I have to get a new (fourth) pair. Unbelievable!!!

    Breaks easily

    I am now on my second pair of EarPods within 6 months’ time. The first stopped working all together and failed to produce sound, while the second simply did not withstand my failure to treat it with the utmost delicacy. I hate that the lack of a decent headphone jack in the iPhone 7 has led me to purchase such a low-quality product.

    There needs to be a significant price reduction... only one headphone fits the iPhone 7 and it's fragile as h... you really want us to pay 29 dollars for these every two months? Such a shame apple has turned away from quality

    The cable is extremely weak, mine broke within 2 days of use. The fact that they connect via lightening port means that the cable fails if they are pulled or caught.

    Worst Yet

    These fall out of your ears with any slight movement, so are pretty much useless. The sound quality is terrible, but iphone headphones always have been. At least before I could upgrade them without having to use a converter which is guaranteed to go missing eventually. I can't charge my phone and listen to music via headphones or aux out. Why can't apple include a good set of headphones when I have just spent £600?!

    As with most of these reviews, they do not say in my ears either.

    Apple if you read these reviews, take note, THEY ARE NOT GEOMETRY DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE'S EARS!

    Needs to be redesigned

    The one that came with the phone were prone to the cutting in and out mentioned in other comments and lasted about 9 months before ceasing to function, they were replaced under warranty. The replacements lasted about 4 months, they are used a lot but used with care. I will try and get them replaced under warranty again but that is a 58 mile round trip + parking so almost the cost of replacing them. On a second phone the same has happened and the lightning to jackplug adaptor also broke. Really not good enough whatever happened to Apple's reputation for robust high quality design and engineering? I started with Apple on an Apple 1 as a university student and have had loads of machines from performa, to powermac, Apple Newton, digital camera, various laptops, servers, iMacs, iPods, iPads, iPhones, most were brilliant innovative and robust but i am really disappointed with the drop in standards over the last few years, my iPad Pro lasted til a few weeks out of guarantee and we have been through loads of headphones in the last 3 years.

    Not working

    Was happy to start with as quality sound and comfort. Light use of earphones and after 3 months the right ear piece is no longer working. This also happened to my last pair which had the pin adapter. Simply not good enough
