    Earpods

Uncomfortable, and don’t stay in your ear. Time to make some buds with adjustable sizes.

    Durable

I have totally underestimated these EarPods , the sound quality provided is pretty good considering that they seem extremely basic. But what I love most about these is how durable they are, I have left my EarPods in pockets of my clothes and have washed them TWICE already and they’ve still continued to work for me flawlessly. They’re basic and do the job, but for me they’re by far the best, good enough to take time out of my busy schedule to write a good review on them, I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for simple but very good EarPods!

Bought about 5 pairs in total

Absolutely disgraceful. I’ve bought about 5 pairs in total and 3 of the 5 times, it’s due to the faulty wiring that connects the jack to the earphones themselves. The other 2 times, the left EarPod has stopped working for no apparent reason. I treated all of them with care.
You need to put more effort into the EarPods.

Good audio quality, but short lifespan

I've always liked the audio quality of Apple EarPods, both the speakers and the mic, but they consistently don't last very long, I'd say a year plus/minus. I've gone through probably 4-5 sets over the last 5 years, and I will never buy another pair again. I had a pair of Sony earbuds that lasted over 10 years, and they were actually a bit cheaper than the Apple EarPods. I'd give them 4 stars for audio/mic sound quality, but 1/2 star for longevity.

    really good quality

It is a really good product, although it shows you how to skip and rewind it is very difficult to do so. Also, I lose these things like once every few months if I am not careful. Apple should incorporate "find my earphone" because I am sick and tired of losing it.

    horrible.

they're absolutely horrible, same with the other lightning cord ones. i've gone through so many pairs over the past few years and i've finally decided to get the airpods because i can't handle my headphones breaking every few months. it pauses and unpauses my music all the time, skips songs, fast forwards them, enables siri/voice control it's just completely horrible and beyond aggravating when you're trying to listen to your favourite songs. they also fall out of your ears very easily. i'll give the airpods a shot and if those end up doing the same thing then i just won't be purchasing headphones by apple at all.

    Substandard Apple product

Terrbile fit, useless when on the move. No idea why Apple keeps making these earphones.

    Great Sound But DON'T LAST!

I've bought about 6 pairs of these earbuds. I like the sound, and I like the fit. However, they DO NOT last. The connection point where the cord meets the jack always goes bad and shorts. Always. It's a design flaw. Even with the gentlest use and care. I've mentioned this to Apple store employees. They're used to it. And they will not replace them - they always point out the limited warranty. I truly believe Apple designed them this way to increase replacement revenue. At some point, the audio will cut out for one side of your earbuds. Then both. Along the way, it will short in such a way as to randomly trigger Siri, or hang up on callers. What a shame, because I like the fit and sound of these - but the short life is unacceptable. The fact that Apple has sold millions of these and should be well aware of this weakness makes me question Apple. One other thing - sure, I could switch to a lightning jack adapter - but you know what the problem with that is? You can't charge your phone and use it at the same time. If you're a business user, that is a big problem.

Quality very poor -DONT BUY GO ELSEWHERE

I can't believe I paid 29.00 for these. When I got a pair with my iPhone they were much better quality but I lost these. These have cheap cable, the plug keeps coming lose from the iPad socket which then makes the video buffer and makes clicking noises in my ear. I have only had these earphones one day. Please don't buy and take heed of the reviews which I stupidly did not and don't buy them. You get get better quality and for a cheaper prices if you shop elsewhere. APPLE FIX UP YOU ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF CHARGING THIS AMOUNT FOR THESE EAR PHONES!

Worth the money - if you get them free with another device

They are hard and uncomfortable and don't block any external sounds so useless for anything other than silent environments

Quite possibly the WORST headphones I've had

Not only are these at least $10 more than similar bad quality headphones, but these have 0 bass and make music sound tinny. Not to mention they fall out if you remotely touch the cord. Would not buy again.

Stops properly working after 3-4 months

I keep buying these earphones (unfortunately, they are the only ones that fit my ears properly) every year and there is always an issue. I have to play with the wire to have sound in both earphones. I honestly do not recommend these earphones as you'll be having issues in the near future.

    Low quality

Have had these earphones since December came with my new iPhone 6plus, just recently started using them as I have my old pair away. I am extremely disappointed, I took the earphones out of my phone today and the jack just stayed in my phone and totally detached from the earbuds. It didn’t fall or get hit just broke off. I am extremely upset as I pay more for high quality Apple products but in this case was extremely disappointed, and now I have a jack stuck in my phone.

    Broke within a week

I've never had any issues with apples products being low quality before. For this reason, I didn't bother to save any of the packaging to return them. Unfortunately, after a week of use the left ear randomly stopped working. I will not be purchasing headphones from Apple again.

    Excellent

I know some people don't like the earpods for being hard plastic and not noise insulating, but I love them. The plastic doesn't hurt my ears, actually I can spend more time with them then with silicone earphones. And being not noise insulating at all allows me to be more aware of my surroundings, which I like.

    Beware of volume blast glitch

I like that the earbuds are each one solid piece with no foam and they sound ok, but I had to toss these for safety. When I used them with my iPhone 6S, they caused the volume to go up rapidly and out of the blue to full blast (note: it overrode my max volume control) and I was unable to bring the volume back down. I'm an average tech user and know how to ask for help, but I couldn't locate a fix for this. Keep your receipt just in case and do not give these to kids.

Come on Apple, is this the best you can offer?

These headphones came with my iPhone 6s, the last iPhone to use a standard headphone audio port (WHY????). At first I was impressed, they came in a nice looking case, and I liked the built-in volume control and mic. They seemed like they would be better than the old apple earbuds I had from my iPod shuffle (Why did you have to discontinue those?). I tried them on, and the sound quality was very good, however, they are very uncomfortable. Sure, they feel fine at first, but I have to use them a lot and after a while they hurt. Why do you continue to use plastic for them??? No one likes it, as can be clearly seen on the consistently bad reviews you've had on all your headphones. Why can't you do what the rest of the world does, and use silicone? Yes, you sell a pair with the silicone tips, but seriously, $79???? I can buy a perfectly decent set for $10 - $20. For the price of the iPhone, you should be able to afford to give a better pair of headphones in the box. Your computers and phones are great, but you have some serious work to do on your headphones if you want happier customers and better reviews.
