    Great headphones, great customer service

I initially got these headphones as part of my student macbook pro purchase. They have seamless and clear bluetooth connection to my iPhone and Mac, and great sound quality (especially for beats). The bass is much more balanced than the original studios, and sound good even compared to my audio technicas.
The only hangup I had was the right side stopped working completely about 6 months into use. Although I was bummed, Apple organized a replacement pair within a few days that are good as new. Seamless customer service experience

sound quality: ok, built quality: very poor

I have owned a pair of beats solo3 wireless matt black and the problem with it is that after a couple of uses it loses its firm built and comes very wobbly. and literally every 2 months, the plastic pad on the ear piece comes off and it is really frustrating. finally gave up and sold it as a second hand item online... never again.

    I like them

The overwhelming about of people say it’s uncomfortable to their ears, however they fit me perfectly and I have a “big head” so I don’t know why every review complains about that the sound quality is great and it seems like Apple has updated the quality of this product

Beats Solo 3 wireless on ear

I am so disappointed with the Beats Solo 3, I was given another pair of headphones as a gift for xmas and asked for them to be changed to these. What a mistake! Barely a month after the warranty was up, my left earphone would not work, then the headphones would not turn on at all. Even with the headphones plugged directly into my mac, the left earpiece works intermittently. The price Apple wants in order to repair them is basically the price of a new pair, and who wants a new pair of junk! Do not spend your money on this, Apple is really giving me cause to look elsewhere these days!

    Disappointing

This is my second pair needing repair. the right ear cup lost sound only after a year of use. Apple repaired it and now about 8 months later, the right ear cup has lost sound when wireless but ok when plugged in. Apple is asking $124 for repairs. For the price, we the customer expect more durability from a product. Apple needs to step up their game or I am going to jump ship.

    Pressure control missing

Amazing earphones, but a high-tech company like Apple should easily incorporate pressure control on the spring that presses the cups to the ears. Congratulations on perfect wireless linking.

I love it but I need to return it

it’s a perfect headphone for my iphone as the pairing is only few seconds right after i turn on my headphones but i’m so sad that i have to return this headphone to the shop and get a BOSE Headphones instead, THIS HEADPHONE IS HURTING MY EARS AND WHEN I COMPARE IT TO THE BOSE BRAND THE DESIGN OF THE EAR COMFORTABILITY IS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN BEATS. I don’t wanna be uncomfortable of using this but i do really love the style and the color but i need to return this item at the shop.

    Great pair of headphones

Great sound very easy to pair and amazing battery life. I wouldn't have to charge them for days and still have battery left over. I did notice them being uncomfortable but after a few hours of use (on a road trip). At the gym for an hour maybe a little more and never had an issue. Now that the price has gone down I would definitely recommend these.

Cheap materials - snapped after 14 months use

The sound, functionality, etc. were great. Used them daily for 14 months. Then they snapped at the hinge on one side when simply putting them on my head.

I think the stress of always needing to pull the ear cups apart slightly in order to get them onto my head caused this, since they were not subject to any other physical trauma.

It’s a shame because they were good while they lasted but the materials used and the product warranty do not justify the high price tag. Look elsewhere unless you have money to burn.

Not for Canadian winters or long-haired people

I think the sound is good, but I agree that they are too tight. Also a bummer that they pluck out hairs each time I wear them. The worst thing is that they shut off in cold weather, even if fully charged. These should be recalled and replaced with a better battery.

    Decent

When you first buy the headphones they do kind of hurt your ears but after a week or two of stretch they do get better. After a month of use they feel very comfortable and I can wear them for hours on end. Apple advertises 40 hours of battery life but I did get more than 40. I mainly listen to bass focused music so I do like the sound quality of the headphones. The only think that i might complain about is the case. Paying $300 for a soft case that gets dirty easily is ridiculous.

    Ear/Head pain

I loved them for about the 1st week. Then when I wore them for over an hour, the pain I began to feel in the ears and head is intense. I have tried the many times over the course of the month. I even tried to wear them without my glasses to see if it would help but still hurts. I was going to return them but I had just missed the window by a few days.

If you have no issues with tight pressure on your head then these are for you. If you are at all sensitive to pressure on your head DO NOT buy them.

Sound quality is very good. Enjoy the actually sound very much. It is great for blocking out other noise as well. Sadly they give me a headache, ear pain, and temple pain.

If anyone knows of a way to make them loosen or stretch I am open to suggestions.

    Beats hurt

I was just searching the Internet for recommendations for headphones that don’t hurt your head and ears, when I found the Apple feedback! My wired beats that I got with my Mac purchase are too painful to wear for more than 5 mins. Waste of time. Now need to buy something else. Any recommendations?!

    There is potential

5 stars for sound quality, portability, and ease of use with the iPhone. Minus 3 stars because I can't wear them for more than 10 minutes without needing to give my ears a break. If you are seriously interested in these headphones, which are not cheap, do yourself a favor and go to a store and wear them for a few minutes first. Keep in mind that there is no break-in period. If you notice that the headphones are uncomfortable within the first few minutes in the store, they will always be uncomfortable to you.

    Wow, how could you?

Was excited for these headphones then I had them on for 10 min and the pain/pressure on my ear is off the charts!!! I know Apple better make a way more comfortable design in the future if they expect people to pay this astronomical price for these uncomfortable headphones. And the bass is sub par as well like really? Truly disappointed and will be using Bose headphones from now on...

    Great Sound Quality But...

I got the Beats Solo 3 for Christmas. They were great when I first tried them on. They had fine sound quality, wireless Bluetooth feature was nice. But after I wore them for 20 minutes, my right upper jaw and ear were in lots of pain. I had to interchange ears every 10 minutes. I would wear it on both ears first, then only left ear, after the pain decreased, both ears and so on and so forth. But overall nice headphones.

Cold weather compatible? Don’t think so

I like he sound that comes from these headphones. Unlike other users I have the problem that my Beats can slip off and there is no adjustment to tighten them. My biggest complaint is they shut off in cold weather. I was told I could run in them and it doesn’t matter what season it is. I even called Apple and they confirmed that as well. They told me that you shouldn’t store them in col femperatures or high ones but they can be used in the cold. No moisture though. They did a manufacturers reset for me so I’m going to see if that works. I don’t give it much hope though because there are lots of reviews stating that they shut off in cold weather.

Painful to wear for more than an hour

Great sound quality, easy to connect with bluetooth, visually appealing. But these are extremely uncomfortable even upon adjusting them. They make your upper-ear area ache, and I would consider myself to have average sized ears. I have to take breaks of 10-15 min after an hour of use. I do not recommend unless you have tiny ears.

Good sound, but breaking after 5 months

The headphones have good sound quality. However, after owning these for only 5 months the synthetic leather on the ears is starting to come loose. I had the same problem with the solo2. My first pair of beats never had this issue. Overall good sound, but poor craftsmanship.
