Not much to write about this product, it's a leather sleeve to protect your MacBook Air/Pro, usual top quality from Apple but the price is insane for what it is.

Thin, elegant, pricey, not for everyone

    • Written by LAWRENCE F from New York

This sleeve has room for nothing more than your MacBook, lacks any lining to cushion blows, and is pretty pricey. If you need more room, or cushioning, or bargain value, then 1 star.

This sleeve looks elegant, will protect your MacBook from scratching during travel, and will keep it away from the dust & crud the can gather in the interstices of your briefcase, backpack, or purse. If this is what you seek, then 5 stars.

A very expensive way of protecting your precious notebook, not worth it.

Too small, very thin, not much protection and overpriced

    • Written by Rich S from Tamaqua

I gave it two stars because the quality is good and the bindings seem strong. However, you have no room to put your power adapter or and of the many other adapters you now need. So now you need a separate bag for them too? It doesn't make sense for pro's who want to simplify their mobility. What really is the kicker is the price. It's way too expensive for how thin it is and how little protection it actually provides. Most importantly, if you drop this, I doubt it has enough cushion to assist in absorbing the shock.

    Darker, Tougher Than Imagined

    • Written by Prasand J from New York

Wanted this sleeve ever since it was released for the 12" MacBook, so I finally was able to purchase this after almost (or over) a year of waiting.

I was expecting something very soft to the touch. This is harder than I imagined, but not in a bad way. It's more akin to the leather iPhone cases, and in hindsight seems like it'll wear / handle abuse well. The fit is very snug, enough that the MacBook would never accidentally slip out despite that there's no zipper or fastener. In fact, getting the laptop in the first time required a bit of effort. I could tell that the sleeve would eventually conform to my laptop, and liked that.

The color is also darker than in the photos. It's more of a true midnight blue, which in a room during sunset might even look black. In the sunlight the blue is definitely noticeable, but dark enough that it doesn't take away from the class and make it seem casual. If you're in the market for the black version, this splash of color might be very appealing.

Although the sleeve is pricey, I think it's worth it and highly recommend it.
