    IPhone XS Smart Battery case Issues

    Purchased a smart battery case with my XS in Jan 2019. Within 3 months case started showing the signs of disconnecting from the phone as others state. Waiting a month for a replacement. Now 5 months after replacement same issues. Case disconnects from phone. Case randomly says charging but overnight no charge and IPhone still draining. While using headset via lighting connector it randomly disconnects from phone. I believe there are issues with both the battery to phone connector AND the charging connector on case. Regardless, even though my Apple store has them in stock, I was told another case is "on order" with no idea of a delivery date. Definitely well below traditional Apple service and experience.

    Replaced twice and still not working

    The first one I bought lasted about 3 months and it just stopped working. I charged it full and it only last about 1 hour so I went to an apple store and after 45 minutes of waiting they ordered it so I had to wait about 2 weeks to get it...
    I got the new one and same thing happened. After about 1 month, this case stopped working. It will turn on and off non stop!
    Honestly, save your time and money! Do not buy this case.

    Extended battery case

    Pretty poor product overall While the battery duration is decent it Hass to sit just perfect on the charger and it seems to mess up frequently often beeping incessantly...... For this price I would use an aftermarket product cheaper and probably better

    Think this case is screwing with my phone

    Got the iPhone XS March 2019 and the case at the beginning of September. My phone now heats up randomly, turns off, glitches constantly and it is BRAND NEW... do not recommend at all

    Save your money!

    On 3rd backpacking 6 months

    First one lasted 2 months stopped charging altogether took it in apple very good about replacing , the second one lasted 4 months then it went haywire sometimes would charge , it would cause phone to turn off and on sponataneously and the Headphone connection stopped working , apple once again is going to replace it , if it works I will rewrite this review why can’t apple get this right

    Don’t buy it

    Apple has AWESOME customer service and always goes above and beyond but this case is trash. I had to have it replaced 3 times. Only problem was that it takes awhile to receive it and you have to actually talk to customer service to get it replaced

    Faulty Design

    After a few months, it will stop maintaining a connection to the phone, resulting in vibrations and lack of charging. I'm on my second case after having to have to first one replaced, and now the second case is doing the exact thing the first one did.

    Its a real shame too, because this was a MUCH improved design over the last iteration. This would be perfect, if it didn't fail.

    Poor Quality

    After less than a month of using this case the rubber coating is coming off the case. For what I paid for this case I expect much better quality!

    Doesnt Work After Few Months

    Bought this case and was very happy with it the first month I had it. After about 2-3 months, it was losing connection with my phone constantly causing it to sometimes force reboot. At times my phone battery would drain while the case battery was untouched. Swapped out the case since it was within a year and still had the same issues after a few months. I would not recommend this product at all.

    Constant charge "beep" from phone makes this product worthless

    I was so happy when this product was released because I didn't like the "on/off" switch of my non-Apple case. But after using it for a couple months, I'm so unhappy. Like so many others have reported, the phone randomly "beeps/vibrates" in the case, just like you would hear when you plug it in to charge. Support claims they've never heard of this issue, but obviously that's a LIE!!! It's so irritating, I've considered going back to my 3rd party battery case.

    GET IT TOGETHER APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

    Defective product

    Something is horribly wrong this product, and i do not save that about apple products very often. I am now on my 3rd case. The battery case will stop working after a couple of months of use. It will continually disconnect and reconnect thus causing a constant vibration. This makes the phone useless. Seriously disappointed in apple for making such a defective product.

    This case is not good. Get the competitors instead. Battery stops working after just a couple months, causing the phone to spaz and vibrate continually. I definitely do NOT recommend. Money grab. Terrible product. Hope Apple gets back to putting the customer first.

    My case lasted approximately 2 months before having the same issue everyone else is having.... It keeps disconnecting while my phone is still in the charging case. Apple said they would replace it but its been over a month now and they keep saying it is out of stock..... How is this possible?

    Horrible, we are on our 4th ones

    I had the old one for my iPhone 7 and loved it, worked for a year without a hitch. I bought two of these the day they were released in March. My wife is on her THIRD case and now mine is crapping out. Hers have all worked for approximately 1 month and then start losing the connection where it constantly makes the ding for being plugged in and unplugged. Mine does the same thing. The Genius Bar told me they would replace it, but THEY HADN'T HEARD OF ANY ISSUES! Obviously, we aren't the only ones. They made me feel like an idiot for telling them it wasn't the phone, but the case, because she couldn't just have 3 bad ones. Definitely not worth $130. They should start paying me mileage every time I have to drive to the Apple Store.

    Broken design

    I'm on my 3rd case (2nd replacement) and they have each faield between 8-10 weeks of use.

    This time I have noticed that if you 'pop' out the phone out of the flexible section at the top, the case becomes recognised again, and starts charging.

    Clearly not a satisfactory solution, but would would be interested if others experiencing issues find this fix to work - its possibly just a design issue that could make this case a worthwhile purchase.

    Best to avoid until a proper fix has been identified/introduced.

    Should have skipped anther release

    I've used SMART cases since their introduction, and was excited to see it released for XS, but I'm thinking it still isn't quite ready for full release. Does not consistently charge phone (by wire or wireless) or maintain headphone connection. Extremely disappointed with this iteration of the case!

    Was Great. Not so much now!!

    First three months, I loved this case! Worked as well as my old one for my iPhone 6S. In fact, I was telling everybody with an iPhone XS to pick one up. Now........not so much. As others have stated, there is definitely design/manufacture flaw with the case. It always disconnects and connects to the phone. It's very annoying as you continue to hear the connection sound to power the phone makes with the volume on.

    With these case now being unavailable to ship until mid August, I'm hoping Apple has identified, and is fixing, the flaw. I'll then see if i can get a replacement. For now.............I'd stay away!!
