If you can live with just Ok...

    • Written by Abelardo J from Orpington

Bought mine last August, after using and returning an Anker bluetooth earphones. Pairs great with my iphone, the silicone ear plugs are very comfortable. The left side even conforms to my tragus piercing. I find the neck band surprisingly comfortable too. It kept the earphones balance, by that, I mean, I did not get the cord dropping in one side, which I got with the previous Anker. Sounds Ok, it does not have the same "body" as compared to the sound coming from my wired apple earphones (I am not an audiophile. I have only used the earphones that comes with my phones, so take this comment with a grain of salt). And at this price range, I expected it to come with accessories... which it does not.

    -Connected well to my phone
    -connects at a medium-fast rate
-Box comes with a lot of spare earbuds
-It's a nice white, clean good quality material
-Convenient for phone calls as you can multitask
-Charges via lightning which is convenient

-The bass in these is the lowest I've ever heard in a pair of earphones and I've been through quite a few of them. It makes it feel like half the song is missing
-Charge life does not last that long
-The mic bugs out sometimes; I've had to repeat myself so many times on the phone even though the mic is right next to my mouth
-The wires are awkwardly loopy (when you have the earbuds in) cos of the sturdy material. Feels a little odd.

Overall whilst I am really disappointed with these considering Beats and Apple's reputation due to the lack of sound quality and technical convenience, I kept them anyway for its portability during phone calls. It's really convenient in that sense as I can eat, wash up, walk handsfree whilst taking calls. If you are looking for sound quality and value, then steer AWAY from these. Defo not worth the price.

Loved them until one day they stopped working

    • Written by Tania Y from Kingston

I liked using these earphones a lot. They paired well with all of my apple devices, charged quickly and the charge lasted a sufficiently long time. They were great for going to the gym, running outside, listening to podcasts at home, or working at a coffee shop, without having to bother with any wires. The neck band is nicely shaped and would comfortably rest on my neck without sliding off. The magnetized buds stick together when not in use, which prevents them from flailing around too much.

After about a year and a half of regular but not extremely frequent use (1-2 times a week or less), my earphones abruptly stopped turning on or pairing. It appears to be similar to the issue that many others have been experiencing. Apple gave me an option to send them in for repair, but it will cost almost as much as getting a new pair. I don't think this is reasonable for a product in this price range, and will be looking for something more reliable.

It amplified a lot of the noise and sounds pretty good. The battery lasts me a full day but sometimes it falls from my ear and it can get pretty uncomfortable sometimes.

    Good not great

    • Written by Alex S from Lehi

When these work, they're great. Being able to switch from my Mac to iPhone to wifes Mac back to my iPhone is heaven. Charge lasts almost all day, and if you charge them while you go to lunch or in a meeting, when you come back they'll be at 100%.

The bad? They might only last you a year... After about 6 months one side stopped working. They were replaced and then after the year mark i got the pink light of death.

If they were a little bit cheaper, i would have no problem buying a pair every year as they are 100% worth having. But spending $150 or even $100 a year stinks... So I now have $20 replacements that do basically the same thing, except switching from device to device is a pain. But I could buy 5 of them before I break even on these.

    they've changed

I have 2 pairs of the original BeatsX (one of which had to be replaced) and both came with ear wings to keep the buds secure and a case. These do not although they are the SAME price. I never used the cases so I don't care but I do use the wing tips on my other pairs...hopefully I will not need them on this new pair. Maybe they have redesigned the fit subtly so they no longer need the tips?
Anyway, I just assumed I was buying the same product BeatsX as I already had as there is no mention of a "new" version (just a new colour- Satin Silver...so I thought people might want to know those 2 accessories are no longer included.

50/50 - Not as good for Business use good or kids for music

    • Written by John G from Macomb

    Good: Sound quality
Good: Magnet to hold when not in use around my neck
    Good: Look and feel
Bad: Disconnecting during calls - re- pairing etc...
Bad Battery life - is not optimal for day long business use.
Bad: Durability: Just less than 1 year and I had to send them in for repair/replacement which apple handled the way that Apple does so that's cool I guess.

Summary: I expected more for the price and the fact that Apple was the one selling the product.
Perhaps I just bought the wrong type of earbuds for my needs. I bought a pair for my 15 year old and he has not complained to me - he has not complained so I'd say 3 stars depending on your needs.
